The strongest-provenance way to buy a genuine DualSense Edge replacement stick module is PlayStation Direct in the United States or the official PlayStation/Sony store serving your country. Select your region first, then check that store’s live stock, price and checkout terms; availability is not established for every market and can change.
Before ordering, match the product to Sony’s identification details: model CFI-ZSM1, compatibility with the DualSense Edge wireless controller only, and a package containing one module, a standard cap and a user manual. Sony says the same module can be installed on either the left or right side.
Start with an official regional store
Buying through a first-party storefront gives you the clearest provenance because the seller is Sony or PlayStation itself rather than an unidentified marketplace account. The correct storefront depends on where the controller will be delivered. A page that is official for one country does not establish stock, delivery eligibility, price or return terms for another.

United Kingdom: PlayStation’s product page
For the UK, use Sony’s official page at playstation.com/en-gb/accessories/stick-module-for-dualsense-edge-wireless-controller/. This page identifies the module as model CFI-ZSM1 and describes the box contents. Confirm that the page is set to your delivery country before relying on its displayed price or availability.
Other countries and territories
Official regional Sony stores may carry the same part under a local product page. For example, Sony Store Malaysia lists CFI-ZSM1 at store.sony.com.my/products/cfi-zsm1-g. Treat that as a Malaysia-specific destination: it does not prove that the item ships to another country or that stock is synchronized globally.
If your country has no visible listing, use the local PlayStation or Sony site’s store selector and search for “DualSense Edge stick module” or “CFI-ZSM1.” Do not assume that an out-of-region page can fulfill the order. Taxes, shipping, consumer rights and warranty handling can all depend on the destination.
Confirm the exact part before paying
A genuine-looking title is not enough. Compare the listing’s model and compatibility statements with Sony’s own specifications. The following details are manufacturer product-identification information; they are not, by themselves, proof that an unrelated seller’s physical item is authentic.

- Match the identifier. Confirm CFI-ZSM1 where Sony provides the model number and verify that the description says DualSense Edge only.
- Check quantity. The standard retail package is one module with one standard cap and a manual. If you need two replacements, plan for two units unless the official page explicitly identifies a multi-pack.

Using a marketplace without assuming every result is genuine
A marketplace can be a convenient way to search for “Sony DualSense Edge stick module CFI-ZSM1”, but a search-results page is not an authenticity guarantee. Marketplace pages may combine offers from different sellers, and the seller, stock, price and condition can change after you save a link.

Compare options by evidence, not by promises
When several purchase paths appear, use the same questions for each one. The official pages establish the product identity, but they do not establish the terms of every unrelated retailer or marketplace seller.

Sony’s UK product information lists one stick module, a standard cap and a user manual. That is the baseline for the ordinary replacement package described by the official page. It is not a two-pack, and it does not promise extra cap styles or a complete controller.
The interchangeable design means the module itself is not assigned permanently to a left or right position. You can install it on either side of a DualSense Edge controller. This manufacturer statement concerns the official module design; it does not make an unverified third-party part compatible merely because its shape looks similar.

Replace the module using Sony’s procedure
The replacement is intended to be user-serviceable. Sony’s complete instructions are available at PlayStation support: replacing a stick module. Follow the page for the diagrams and the exact handling guidance. The operational sequence is:
- Turn the controller off. Make sure the player indicator is off before opening it.
- Disconnect the USB cable. Remove the cable so the controller is not connected while you work.
- Remove the front cover. Use the controller’s RELEASE latch and lift the cover as shown in Sony’s instructions.
- Raise the release lever. Move the lever to unlock the existing module.
- Slide out the old module. Follow the module grooves rather than forcing it upward or twisting it.
- Insert the replacement. Align the new module with the grooves and slide it in until it clicks into place.
- Lower the lever. Return the release lever to its locked position.
- Reattach the front cover. Press it into place until it clicks, then reconnect the controller and test the stick.
If the module will not slide smoothly or the cover will not latch, stop and recheck alignment against Sony’s support diagrams. Do not use excessive force; a misaligned module can prevent the lever or cover from locking correctly.

The listing names another controller
Do not buy it on the assumption that a similar connector or cap will work. Sony limits this module to the DualSense Edge wireless controller. Ask the seller for the exact model number and compatibility statement, or use the official store instead.

The seller offers a pair
Verify whether the price is for two separate retail units or for one module with a cap. Sony’s standard package description is one module. A pair may be a seller-created bundle, not the normal contents of one box.

The seller cannot identify CFI-ZSM1
Pause the purchase. The model number is a useful cross-check, while a vague title leaves compatibility and provenance unresolved. Do not fill the gap with assumptions based on photographs.
The official page shows no stock
Stock is regional and changeable. Check the same country’s official store again later, use its stock-notification feature if offered, or contact the regional PlayStation/Sony support channel. An out-of-region listing is not a substitute for confirming delivery and warranty terms in your country.
The delivered part behaves incorrectly
First confirm that the controller is a DualSense Edge and that the module is seated along the grooves with the lever fully lowered. If the problem remains, stop using the part and use the seller’s return process or Sony’s support route with your order documentation. Do not open or modify the module while a return may be available.

The official product and support pages identify the module, explain compatibility and show replacement steps, but they do not publish a complete checklist for authenticating a third-party listing. They do not establish universal rules based on packaging color, seals, serial-number formats, seller pricing or photographs. Those details should not be presented as guaranteed tests.
That limitation changes the buying strategy: prioritize provenance before trying to diagnose a suspicious item. A direct official purchase gives you a documented seller relationship. If you choose another channel, preserve the listing and seller information, verify the exact model and quantity, and make sure the return path is clear before payment.
Keep a simple purchase record
Save the official product URL, the date and region, the order confirmation, the invoice and any correspondence with the seller. Photograph the unopened package if the item arrives through a non-first-party channel, but treat photographs as documentation rather than proof of authenticity. If the part is incompatible or materially different from the listing, those records make a return or support request easier to explain.
For the least ambiguity, buy the CFI-ZSM1 module from PlayStation Direct or your country’s official PlayStation/Sony store, confirm live regional stock at checkout, and use Sony’s support procedure to install the single interchangeable module.
