There isn’t one universal sync-button location on Polk soundbars. Depending on the model, look on the back of the wireless subwoofer, the soundbar, or both. The button may be labeled SYNC, BAR SYNC, or CONNECT, and pairing may require a second button on the soundbar.
Find the button for your Polk model
Check the model name or number on your soundbar, subwoofer, or product label before pairing. These Polk models use different controls and sequences:

How to locate and use the right control
- Identify the exact model. Read the model name or number on the soundbar, subwoofer, or product label.
- Inspect both rear panels. Look on the back of the subwoofer and the back of the soundbar for SYNC, BAR SYNC, or CONNECT. React, for example, has CONNECT controls on both devices; the other listed models locate the named control on the subwoofer.
- Follow the full model-specific sequence. The subwoofer button alone may not complete pairing. Use the soundbar button combination and LED cues specified for your model.
- If pairing fails, repeat that model’s sequence. If you cannot confirm the model or the documented steps still fail, consult the manual for that exact model or Polk support rather than trying another family’s instructions.
Why the model matters
“Sync button” may mean a control labeled SYNC, BAR SYNC, or CONNECT. The location, additional soundbar controls, and indicator behavior differ by model, so instructions for one Polk family should not be assumed to apply to another. The phrase “subwoofer and surround speakers do not connect” also appears in reader discussions, but it is not an official diagnosis or a pairing instruction. Polk forum discussion
