Community location guides report eight breathing trainers in Slayers 2, spread across Windy Peak, Bamboo Grove, Hidden Mist, Mistfall Harbor, Butterfly Estate, and Iceveil. Most routes have a distinctive landmark; some require climbing or swimming. These are reported locations, not an official directory, so check the live map and NPC dialogue if a character or requirement differs in your server.
Where are the eight breathing trainers?
The routes below follow community map and trainer guides. Trainer names are reported names, and some positions—especially Stone and Thunder—are not consistently confirmed across those guides. The Slayers 2 map guide lists all eight styles and routes; another trainer guide corroborates many locations while flagging uncertainty.
| Style and reported trainer | Where to look | Route challenge |
|---|---|---|
| Serpent — Obari | Cliffs north of or above Windy Peak, overlooking the starting village. | Cliffside approach. |
| Insect — Shinora | At Butterfly Estate, on the lower roof of the central building. Another guide places the trainer on a roof behind the respawn crystal. | Check the roofs near the central building and respawn crystal. |
| Flame — Rengu | On the roof of the house beside the long red bridge leaving Mistfall Harbor. | Rooftop; easy to overlook from the road. |
| Thunder — Zentaro | At the highest peak above Hidden Mist Village, along the path past the bear area. | Wall Climb is reported as necessary; the exact spot and even the trainer-name variant differ between guides. |
| Stone — Gyorei | At Stone Sanctuary, down the lower path from the bear area near Hidden Mist. | One guide says this location is still being confirmed. |
| Sound — Tengai | On a small island in Iceveil Valley, north of the shrine. | Snow reportedly causes health loss; prepare healing and check for current cold-protection mechanics. |
| Wind — Saneri | On a platform in the water in Iceveil Valley. From the shrine, follow the fallen tree. | Water crossing and cold-exposed area. |
| Water — Urokodaki | Near Bamboo Grove, find the small island house by the waterfall and swim through the flooded opening beside it. | Underwater passage. |
What to know before visiting a trainer
- Level: One trainer guide recommends reaching level 25 before attempting breathing training. Treat this as community advice, not a confirmed universal unlock rule. The guide also warns that requirements and costs may vary.
- Movement: Wall Climb is specifically reported for the Thunder route. Cliffs and roofs may also take careful climbing and stamina management.
- Iceveil: The map guide reports health loss from the cold in the snowy area. Bring healing, and verify in-game whether protection mechanics are available or have changed. Map and Iceveil route details.
- Costs: Published material requirements conflict. For example, one locations database reports Thunder training at 10 Demon Horns plus 6,000 Wen, while another guide gives differing estimates across styles. Do not rely on those figures as current prices; use the trainer’s dialogue in your server. Locations database and trainer cost caveats.
Where to find the other useful NPCs
The community map guide places the following quest, merchant, and utility characters around the main routes. Treat names and exact spots as reported leads, particularly when a current map or dialogue uses different labels. See its NPC and region map.

How to navigate between the locations
- Start from Windy Peak. The community map describes it as the starter village and relates the other regions—including Bamboo Grove, Hidden Mist Village, Butterfly Estate, Final Selection Plains, Mistfall Harbor, and Iceveil Valley—to it.
- Activate shrines as you pass them. Community guides describe shrines as fast-travel points, which can reduce backtracking between regions. A locations database says the Windy Peak shrine became free and auto-unlocked in the September 19, 2026 v.07 hotfix; that detail is version-specific and may change. Locations database and update note.
- Use terrain clues, not just boss markers. The Thunder trainer is reported above the bear area on the highest peak, while the Stone trainer is lower down at Stone Sanctuary. The Flame trainer is on a house roof beside the harbor bridge, not simply at a nearby boss marker.
- Recheck the live map and dialogue. These NPC lists are community-maintained, and guides disagree on some names and exact spots. A separate locations database gives early Windy Peak names as Kuray, Ra, and Kazu, but says those came from one walkthrough’s captions and are unverified; do not assume they are alternate confirmed names for Krue, Kona, and Raze. Locations database caveat.
