What the prize is called
The formal name is the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. “Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics” is a familiar shortened description, but not the formal title used in the Academy’s notice.

Sveriges Riksbank, Sweden’s central bank, established the prize in 1968. The Nobel Prize Museum says it was based on a donation to the Nobel Foundation on the occasion of the bank’s 300th anniversary. The prize’s Riksbank origin is important context: it should not be described as one of the categories established by Alfred Nobel’s will.
