As of October 11, 2026, the next dated DC release is Clayface, but its release date is disputed: current guides list either September 11 or October 23, 2026. Man of Tomorrow is listed for July 9, 2027. The Batman Part II and animated film Dynamic Duo are also listed for future dates, though the Batman sequel’s date conflicts across guides. Several other announced projects have no firm release dates.

Which DC movies and shows are still upcoming?

This calendar reflects information available through October 7, 2026. Release schedules can change, and two of the listed films have conflicting dates in current entertainment guides. Treat those dates as reported listings rather than settled announcements.

Project Reported date Format and continuity What is established
Clayface September 11, 2026 (Popverse) or October 23, 2026 (Tom’s Guide) Film; continuity not established in the cited listings The guides disagree. The official DC movie page reviewed for this guide had promotional material but did not confirm a date.
Man of Tomorrow July 9, 2027 Film; DCU Both current guides list this date.
The Batman Part II October 1, 2027 (Popverse) or February 18, 2028 (Tom’s Guide) Film; Elseworlds, not the shared DCU The guides disagree on the date. Tom’s Guide identifies it as an Elseworlds project.
Dynamic Duo June 30, 2028 Animated film; continuity not established in the cited listings Both current guides list this date.

Because the Clayface listings straddle October 11, the available information does not establish whether it is still upcoming on that date. Check an official studio or distributor announcement for the current release date. The same caution applies to The Batman Part II: both reported dates remain in the future, but the guides do not agree on when it is due.

Which announced DC projects do not have firm dates?

These projects have been announced or reported as in development, but the sources reviewed do not establish firm release dates. An announcement is not the same as a scheduled release, and the status of a project can change before it reaches a calendar.

Films and film projects

  • The Authority — Announced as part of DC Studios’ January 2023 Chapter One slate. GamesRadar later described it as on the backburner; it has no firm date in the current guide material.
  • The Brave and the Bold — Named in the January 2023 slate as a film, but no firm date is established here.
  • Swamp Thing — Named in the January 2023 slate as a film, with no firm date established here.
  • Teen Titans — Listed by a current guide without a firm date.
  • Wonder Woman — A new film is listed by a current guide without a firm date.

Series and animated spin-off

  • Creature Commandos, Waller, Booster Gold and Paradise Lost — Named in DC Studios’ January 2023 slate as television series. The original announcement is historical context, not a current release calendar; the material reviewed here does not supply firm dates for these projects.
  • Blue Beetle animated spin-off — Listed by a current guide without a firm date.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow also appeared in the 2023 slate, but it should not be counted as an upcoming release in this guide: DC’s official page lists June 26, 2026, for North American theaters and IMAX, with international rollout beginning June 24, 2026. Those dates had passed by October 11, 2026.

How to tell DCU projects from Elseworlds

DCU means the shared continuity; Elseworlds labels standalone stories outside it. A broad roundup of DC movies can include both, so a project appearing on the same release list does not by itself make it part of the shared continuity. Of the dated films covered here, The Batman Part II is explicitly identified as Elseworlds. The cited listings do not establish continuity for Clayface or Dynamic Duo, so this guide does not assign either one to the DCU.

What is not on the upcoming calendar?

Lanterns should not be presented as an upcoming series based on October 7, 2026 listings: Tom’s Guide listed its first episode as streaming then. Likewise, Supergirl is not a future release as of October 11, given the dates on DC’s official page. These examples show why an older slate announcement or a broad DC list is not enough to establish what is still coming out.
