That means the practical package is two full LEGO Harry Potter adventures plus optional-style character and spell content that is already bundled. You are not buying a short demo, a soundtrack-only package or a season pass that still requires the two games. The listed DLC is part of the collection’s contents.
How the two story games cover Years 1–7
Years 1–4
The first game covers the opening four story years. It is a complete game in its own right, with its own progression and playable content, rather than a short introductory chapter to the second title. Its place in the compilation is the beginning of the overall Harry Potter story.
Years 5–7

The “Years 1–7” wording therefore describes the complete narrative span, not a claim that the collection has seven independent game files. It also explains why the final game is associated with three story years but covers four film installments: the last film story is divided into two parts.

Notice that the list mixes historical Hogwarts founders, supporting figures and alternate outfits or forms. “Harry (Yule Ball),” “Hermione (Pink Dress),” “Ron Weasley (Ghoul),” “Lockhart (Straightjacket)” and “Luna (Lion Head)” are presented as named variants, while Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin are the four founders. That distinction is useful when checking a product description: the total is ten listed entries, not ten additional chapters.
Spell Pack: all five additional spells
The second included DLC pack is the Spell Pack. Its five listed spells are:

What the remastered edition adds
For the newer compilation, Warner Bros. Games announced remaster-focused presentation features including 60 frames per second, native 4K resolution, haptic feedback and high-resolution shadow maps. Those claims describe the remaster announcement; implementation can differ by platform, display and feature support.

Controller features depend on compatible hardware, and resolution or frame-rate behavior can be affected by system settings and the connected display.
“Native 4K” should also be read as the publisher’s stated remaster feature, not as a guarantee that every television, monitor or console setting will show the same output mode. Likewise, haptic feedback requires supported controller hardware. If a listing uses broad remaster language but does not specify a platform, compare it with the platform-specific store page before buying.
Platforms, editions and release information
The remastered digital release was announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam in October 2024. The official PlayStation page presents both PS5 and PS4 editions and names the two games in the compilation. The Xbox Store page lists an Xbox Series X|S edition with an October 8, 2024 release date.

Digital versus physical: what is and is not confirmed
The 2024 launch announcement characterizes the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam remaster as a digital launch. That does not prove that no physical copy exists in every market, nor does it guarantee a physical SKU for a particular console. A retailer page may describe a product differently from another region’s store.
Before ordering a disc or boxed product, check the platform logo, edition name, included games and the publisher or platform holder’s listing. Do not rely on a product title that only says “Years 1–7”; the package should identify both Years 1–4 and Years 5–7 and indicate whether the Character Pack and Spell Pack are included. - Check format and date information. If you need a disc, verify that the listing is explicitly physical. If you are buying digitally, confirm the account, platform and regional store.
- Check feature expectations. Use the remaster announcement’s 60 FPS, native 4K, haptic-feedback and shadow-map claims as platform-level guidance, then confirm compatibility for your hardware.
- Check the final checkout details. Review currency, taxes, edition label and delivery format. Prices and availability are regional, so an apparently cheaper listing may be a different generation or format.
Common misunderstandings
“Years 1–7” is one game
It is a compilation of two games. Years 1–4 and Years 5–7 are separate titles presented together, so the menu or download may expose two game entries.
The DLC is only available through a special edition
For this collection, the Character Pack and Spell Pack are included according to WB Games’ support documentation and launch announcement. Their inclusion is part of the bundle definition.
Seven years means seven films
The final story year is split across Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2, producing eight film adaptations across seven years.

A Switch 2 trailer heading proves the game is available
It does not. The WB Games page’s trailer heading is not a release date or a store listing. Verify an actual regional listing before treating that platform as available.
Every remaster feature is guaranteed on every device
The publisher announced the feature set for the remaster, but controller support, resolution output and frame-rate behavior depend on platform hardware, software settings and display equipment.

The collection includes extra story campaigns for the DLC
The official announcement lists ten characters and five spells, but it does not identify separate missions or campaigns for either pack. Do not purchase it expecting a third storyline.

- A single worldwide price, tax treatment or language list.
- That a PS4 purchase automatically provides every PS5 entitlement, or that a retailer’s cross-generation wording applies in every region.
Those limits are why the safest buying decision is platform-specific: inspect the current regional listing, confirm the edition generation and verify that both games and both DLC packs are named.
