For most progression-focused characters, spend Abyss Points on Stigma Shards or Daevanion Crystals first—whichever fixes your current upgrade bottleneck. An accessory can reasonably take priority when your stigma progression is already covered or a ring, earrings, or necklace is the more useful upgrade for your build. Leave cosmetics, wings, medals, consumables, and usually mid-tier armor for later.
This is a conditional priority, not a universal shopping list. The available recommendations come from secondary guides and community discussion, not an official, item-by-item value chart. Prices, purchase limits, and the exact effect of individual purchases can change, so confirm the live Abyss Trade Shop before spending a large balance.
The practical spending order
Use this order as a starting point, then stop at the first category that does not solve a real need on your character:
- Stigma Shards when a main stigma is behind the next upgrade threshold you are targeting.
- Daevanion Crystals when they are the material your next meaningful progression step requires.
- Accessories, generally ring first, then earrings, then necklace, when the item is a genuine improvement you will equip and use.
- Other progression items only after checking their cost, limit, and immediate effect in the live shop.
- Cosmetics, wings, and medals after growth purchases are covered.
One guide updated October 10, 2026, places Stigma Shards and Daevanion Crystals at the front of the list and says the Abyss Trade Shop opens at level 45. Another progression guide recommends choosing between Stigma Shards and accessories, listing ring, earrings, then necklace as its accessory order. Those recommendations are compatible if you treat the item that removes your current bottleneck as the first purchase rather than following a rigid rule.

Why Stigma Shards are usually the first check
Stigma Shards are the clearest default because multiple current guides identify them as an early growth purchase. If one of your main stigmas is waiting on shards, buying a cosmetic instead delays a direct progression step. A recent community reply summarized this approach as putting Abyss Points into stigma shards “first” until main stigmas reach their breakpoints.
That wording is useful as a priority principle, not as a published game rule. The sources do not define universal breakpoint values, and they do not establish that every class, role, or build reaches the same thresholds at the same time. Before buying, identify the next stigma upgrade you can actually complete and verify that the shop quantity will contribute to it.
Buy shards first when
- Your next main-stigma upgrade is available once you obtain a known number of shards.
- You will equip the resulting upgrade immediately rather than holding materials indefinitely.
- The shard purchase has a better current cost or limit than the alternatives shown in your shop.
- Your accessories are already adequate for the content you are running.
Do not buy shards automatically when
- You cannot reach a useful upgrade threshold with the amount currently available.
- Your build has a clearly larger, usable accessory gap and the accessory is affordable.
- The live shop has changed the price, limit, or availability from the guide information.
When Daevanion Crystals should come first
Daevanion Crystals are named alongside Stigma Shards as a first-tier growth purchase in the October 2026 guide. The right choice depends on which material your character can convert into an immediate upgrade. If crystals unlock the next progression action while shards would sit unused, crystals have the higher practical value for you.

Do not assume that “first-tier” means “buy both in a fixed ratio.” The available sources do not provide an item-by-item valuation, a recommended ratio, or a complete list of crystal requirements. Read the live shop description and your upgrade screen together: confirm the material needed, the quantity offered, and whether buying now completes a step or merely starts a long-term stockpile.
When an accessory is the better investment
Accessories are the main alternative to a shard-first plan. The current progression guide that discusses them recommends ring, then earrings, then necklace, but that sequence is a guide preference rather than an official universal order. An accessory should move ahead of shards only when it is a real, near-term upgrade for your character and you will equip it immediately.

- Confirm that the purchase does not leave you unable to complete a stigma or crystal upgrade that is ready now.

Accessories can win the comparison because a single equipable item may improve your current setup immediately, while a partial stack of shards or crystals may provide no benefit until a threshold is reached. Conversely, if your next stigma upgrade is one purchase away, delaying it for a modest accessory improvement may slow the broader progression path.

The October 2026 guide places cosmetics, wings, and medals after growth needs. These can be sensible uses of surplus points when appearance, collection, or a specific non-progression goal matters to you, but they should not displace an upgrade that improves your active build.

Consumables
That same guide advises skipping consumables. Their temporary nature makes them a poor default use of a currency that can fund permanent progression, unless a particular consumable solves an immediate, clearly defined problem and you have already covered your growth purchases.
Mid-tier armor before level 50
The accessory-focused progression guide advises against buying mid-tier armor before level 50. The practical concern is timing: armor purchased shortly before a major level milestone may be replaced quickly. Treat this as a level-sensitive warning, not a claim that every armor purchase is bad. Check your level, replacement schedule, and the live item comparison before committing points.
Confirm the shop unlock and live inventory
A guide updated October 10, 2026, says the Abyss Trade Shop opens at level 45. Because no official current shop page or patch note in the available material confirms that statement, verify it in your client rather than treating level 45 as guaranteed for every region, build, or future patch.
- Reach the level and content requirements shown by your client.
- Open the Abyss Trade Shop from the current in-game menu and confirm that the shop is available to your character.
- Record the listed price, quantity, purchase limit, reset timing, and any prerequisite displayed for each candidate item.
- Compare those live values with your next stigma, crystal, or accessory upgrade.
- Buy only after confirming that the item is usable now and that the purchase will not strand the remainder of your points.
Menu names, limits, and inventory can change with updates. If your screen differs from a guide, the live client is the relevant authority for your account.

1. Define the next upgrade you can finish
Look at your character’s upgrade screens before entering the shop. Write down the material and quantity needed for the next upgrade that matters to your build. This prevents a vague “best item” search from turning into an impulse purchase.
2. List only usable candidates
Remove anything you cannot equip, cannot use at your current level, or would replace immediately. Include an accessory only if its slot and quality make sense for your current setup. Include shards or crystals only if they contribute to a known progression step.
3. Check the opportunity cost
For each candidate, ask what you give up by buying it today. A purchase that consumes nearly all your points may be correct if it completes a major upgrade, but it may be poor if it leaves you one small purchase short of a more important threshold.

5. Make one deliberate purchase and reassess

Your main stigma is one purchase from its next threshold

Your stigma materials are covered, but an accessory slot is weak
Compare the ring, earrings, and necklace offered. Follow the guide’s ring-first sequence only if the ring is the largest usable improvement; otherwise choose the slot that fixes your actual gap. Do not buy an accessory simply because it is listed first.
Crystals complete a progression step while shards do not
Choose Daevanion Crystals when they are the material that produces the immediate upgrade. Re-evaluate shards after that upgrade changes your requirements.
You are approaching level 50
Be especially cautious about mid-tier armor. If a level milestone is close, saving points for a more durable upgrade can be better than purchasing armor that the progression guide expects you to replace.
You have finished the growth purchases you can use

How Abyss activities fit into the plan

If artifact sieges are available in your client, check their displayed rewards, eligibility, schedule, and risk before planning your income around them.
The important distinction is between earning points and spending them. More activity does not make a low-value purchase efficient; first decide which item advances your character, then choose the activities that provide points without disrupting your normal progression.
What is not established yet
The available material does not establish an official priority list, exact shop prices, purchase limits, reset dates, universal stigma breakpoints, or a verified item-by-item value calculation. It also does not prove that the October 2026 level-45 unlock applies unchanged after every update. These are not details to guess from a guide headline.
- Use the client’s current price and limit as the deciding figures.
- Use your own upgrade screen to identify breakpoints instead of adopting another player’s threshold.

Following “shards first” literally
Problem: You buy shards even though an accessory would immediately improve your equipped build.

Buying for a future character state
Problem: You spend points on an item that will remain unused until an uncertain level or threshold.

Ignoring level timing
Problem: You purchase mid-tier armor shortly before level 50 and replace it soon afterward.
Fix: Check your distance from the milestone and compare the item’s expected useful period with its point cost.
Trusting an old price or limit
Problem: A remembered guide value does not match the current shop.
Fix: Treat the live client as authoritative for current cost, availability, and limits.
Spending the whole balance on optional items
Problem: Cosmetics or medals leave you unable to complete a progression purchase.
Fix: Reserve points for the next usable stigma, crystal, or accessory upgrade before buying optional items.
A simple rule to remember
Open the live Abyss Trade Shop, identify the next upgrade your character can actually use, and spend on the item that completes or most directly advances it. In many cases that will be Stigma Shards or Daevanion Crystals. If your build’s immediate weakness is an accessory, choose the useful ring, earrings, or necklace instead. Delay appearance-focused and temporary purchases until your progression needs are covered.
