Enter the Railyard Nomad Camp through the drainage pipes on the Railyard’s southwest side, climb the raised catwalks, and search the highlighted yellow duffle bag near the middle junction. For the Clean Hands quest, take the Sundial to the Old Town church tower, use the marked railing, and extract from Pendola Pass with the item.
The available guides identify this quest objective but do not establish a complete, repeatable loot table for the camp. Treat the yellow bag as the confirmed target rather than assuming the location guarantees weapons, valuables, or other named rewards.
What is confirmed at the Railyard Nomad Camp
The Railyard Nomad Camp is a Clean Hands quest location beneath the Railyard on the ARC Raiders map. The confirmed objective is to search one highlighted yellow bag for the Equatorial Sundial. PC Gamer’s Sean Martin described the task as searching for the polluted item in a guide published October 8, 2026; the item produced by the bag is the Sundial. AllThingsHow’s guide, updated October 9, 2026, gives the same target and places it on the camp’s raised metal catwalks.

Prepare before entering
- Keep at least one inventory slot open for the Equatorial Sundial.
- Use a safe pocket for the item if your loadout provides one. Both location guides identify that as a way to protect the quest item.
- Approach from Pendola Pass and plan an exit rather than treating the camp as a dead-end stop.
- Expect possible contact on the route. PC Gamer notes that an Arc Frigate may be near the camp approach, while AllThingsHow characterizes the Railyard as a high-traffic area where Raiders can be encountered.
These preparations are about securing the quest objective. They do not indicate that the camp has a special bonus inventory or that a particular loadout is mandatory.
How to reach the Nomad Camp
Use the southwest drainage pipes
From Pendola Pass, approach the Railyard and look for the drainage-pipe entrance on its southwest side. AllThingsHow places the access pipe between the Railyard and the Transit Tunnel to the west. Follow the pipe into the camp; this route leads to the raised metal catwalks where the target bag is located.
The camp sits beneath the Railyard, so a player looking only at ground-level buildings can miss it. The pipe entrance is the useful vertical clue: once inside, you should be moving toward elevated metal walkways rather than searching the open surface around the rail facilities.

Ground-floor depot route
AllThingsHow also reports that cutting through the ground-floor depot reaches the camp. The guide does not compare that option with the drainage pipes for speed, safety, enemy density, or loot access. Choose it only if the depot is the route you can reach safely; there is no substantiated basis for calling it the faster or safer entrance.

Find the yellow duffle bag
- Follow the drainage-pipe route until it opens onto the camp’s raised catwalk network.
- Climb toward the middle or junction area of those catwalks. The target is not described as a random ground container.
- Look for the highlighted yellow bag, also described in the guides as a yellow duffle bag.
- Search the bag to receive the Equatorial Sundial, keeping the inventory or safe-pocket preparation in mind.
The highlighted color is the practical identifier. If you are checking unmarked boxes or bags on the lower level, you are probably searching the wrong part of the camp. The published directions consistently point to the elevated junction and the yellow bag rather than to a general container sweep.
Continue Clean Hands after taking the Sundial
Reach the Old Town church tower
Picking up the Sundial is only the collection stage. Carry it to the church tower in Old Town. The route described by the guides uses the tower’s spiral stairs, followed by a zipline that brings you to the interaction area.
Interact with the marked railing
At the tower, use the marked railing to complete the reading objective. The interaction is the quest-facing use of the Sundial; simply possessing the item does not replace this step. Watch for the marked interaction point after using the stairs and zipline so that you do not leave the tower before the objective registers.
Extract with the item
After the church-tower interaction, leave the map from Pendola Pass while the Sundial is still in your possession. AllThingsHow describes calling the gondola through a radio beacon console and opening a pod to exit. Follow the extraction interface at the pass and confirm that you are leaving with the quest item rather than discarding it or exiting without it.

Managing the route’s risks
The Railyard approach is not presented as a quiet guaranteed run. A possible Arc Frigate near the route can add danger, and the high-traffic description means Raiders may contest the area. The sources do not provide an enemy count, spawn schedule, or reliable timing window, so avoid treating those warnings as fixed events.
A practical route decision is therefore based on exposure rather than an assumed loot advantage. The drainage pipes provide the specifically documented path to the catwalks. The depot is another reported access point, but no source establishes that it reduces encounters. If the approach is contested, protect the Sundial in a safe pocket when possible and avoid unnecessary detours after the bag search.
What you should not assume the camp contains
Neither of the current location guides supplies a full camp inventory. They do not document guaranteed weapons, a fixed number of valuables, a repeatable rare item, a currency amount, or a probability for the Sundial. A yellow-bag search should therefore be understood as the Clean Hands pickup, not as proof that every visit will produce a profitable general-loot run.

Quest rewards reported by AllThingsHow are separate from the camp bag. That guide lists a Sextant trinket, Shield Recharger, and Battered Paperback research item as Clean Hands turn-in rewards. Those are rewards for completing the quest, not additional objects confirmed inside the Railyard Nomad Camp.

How to resolve common route and objective problems
You cannot locate the camp
Recheck your position relative to the Railyard and Transit Tunnel. The documented pipe is on the Railyard’s southwest side, with one guide placing it between the Railyard and the western Transit Tunnel. The camp is below the Railyard, so remain alert for the transition to elevated catwalks rather than searching only around the rail-yard floor.
You find the catwalks but not the target
Move toward the middle or junction area and look specifically for the highlighted yellow bag. The guides do not identify an unmarked substitute container. If the highlight is not visible, verify that you are on the raised camp walkways and that you are following the Clean Hands objective rather than looking for unrelated loot.
The bag cannot be searched
Check the inventory space you prepared before entering. A free slot is advised for the Sundial, and a safe pocket can protect it once collected. If the objective has not advanced, confirm that you are interacting with the highlighted bag rather than a nearby container.
The reading objective is still incomplete
Take the Sundial to the Old Town church tower, climb the spiral stairs, use the zipline, and interact with the marked railing. Being at the tower without completing that marked interaction does not finish the reading stage.

You are unsure how to leave
Return to Pendola Pass for extraction. The described process uses a radio beacon console to call the gondola, followed by opening a pod. Keep the Sundial with you through the departure sequence.
How broader reward announcements relate to this location
ARC Raiders’ official Live Update 1.33.0, dated June 16, 2026, says that Raiders can unlock rewards by earning Merits, which are automatically converted from XP gained by playing on any map and used for rewards including gameplay items, weapons, and Raider Tokens. That statement describes a general reward system and does not establish a Railyard Nomad Camp loot table, a Sundial drop rate, or extra rewards from the yellow bag.
For this location, the reliable distinction is simple: the Equatorial Sundial is the documented Clean Hands objective; the Sextant, Shield Recharger, and Battered Paperback are reported quest turn-in rewards; and any additional camp loot remains unspecified by the cited guides.
