An art TV is still a television first. Before buying one, check how the exact model handles reflections in your room, what frame and wall hardware are actually in the box, which artwork is free, and whether the catalog you want requires a recurring subscription. Samsung, TCL, and Hisense all describe matte or anti-reflection art-TV screens, but the manufacturer information available does not establish a reliable cross-brand glare winner. Your room, viewing angle, windows, lamps, model size, and regional bundle matter more than the word “matte” alone.
Use the guide below to separate the display hardware from the art service, calculate the real installed cost, and make sure the set will work as an ordinary TV for your movies, sports, consoles, and streaming devices.
Start with the room and the television you need
Art mode is most convincing when the screen is mounted like a framed picture and reflections are controlled. It is not a substitute for choosing the right screen size, viewing distance, picture quality, inputs, or gaming features. Measure the wall, identify every window and lamp that can reflect toward it, and decide whether the television will be watched mainly straight on or from a sofa at an angle.
Recommended Free Tools
A matte surface is intended to spread ambient reflections across a wider area so they are less mirror-like. It can make a bright window less distracting, but it cannot remove a direct reflection, prevent glare from every angle, or make a poorly placed screen look like paper. Brightness, room lighting, viewing angle, content, and the specific panel finish all affect the result. No common independent test in the cited manufacturer material proves that one art-TV brand performs best in every room.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A practical reflection check
- Turn on the room’s normal daytime lights and open the curtains to the level you expect when watching.
- Stand where viewers will sit and look for windows, lamps, white walls, or bright objects reflected in the screen area.
- Repeat from the main side seats. A finish that looks comfortable straight on may still show a bright source from an angle.
- Ask the retailer for the exact model and size, because “matte” and “anti-reflection” describe a design goal, not a universal measured performance level.
- Plan curtains, lamp placement, or a different wall if a strong light source points directly at the panel.
Do not assume that a matte finish is automatically better for every television use. Diffusing reflections can change how the image looks in a brightly lit room, and the finish does not improve the panel’s contrast, motion handling, HDR capability, sound, or gaming response. Compare those ordinary TV characteristics separately.
Understand what “matte” means on an art TV
Samsung describes Anti-Reflection with Matte Display on its 2025 The Frame and Frame Pro lines. TCL describes a nanocrystal matte screen on the A300W and a matte anti-reflective screen in its North American NXTFRAME announcement. Hisense calls the CanvasTV surface Hi-Matte. These are manufacturer descriptions of the screen treatments, not results from a controlled, cross-brand laboratory comparison.
The finish is only one part of reflection handling. A flush installation, dark wall behind the viewer, controlled lighting, and a correct viewing angle can matter as much as the coating. A glossy screen in a carefully controlled room may look better for some content than a matte screen in a room with a lamp aimed at the panel. If your room has unavoidable daylight, prioritize the exact model’s observed behavior over a generic product category.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhen matte is a good fit
- The screen will remain visible in daylight and you want fewer sharp mirror reflections.
- You plan to display paintings or photographs for long periods, where reflected faces and windows are especially distracting.
- You can mount the set close to the wall and keep direct light sources out of the screen’s reflection path.
When to reconsider
- You need the strongest possible movie or gaming picture in a dark room and prefer a conventional high-contrast presentation.
- Your room has a bright window directly opposite the television; a finish alone will not solve that geometry.
- You expect the same reflection behavior across sizes or brands without checking the particular regional model.
Bezels change the price and the look
An art TV is meant to resemble a framed picture, so the bezel is not a minor accessory. Confirm whether a frame is included, which color is supplied, whether additional colors fit your size, and whether the frame is a separate purchase. The answer can vary by market, screen size, model year, and retailer bundle.
Samsung’s U.S. LS03FA 55-inch page identifies a customizable bezel but explicitly says the customizable bezels are sold separately. The 2025 U.S. lineup announcement describes swappable bezels for The Frame and Frame Pro, while the television itself ships with a Slim-Fit wall mount. A separate bezel can materially change the installed cost and the final appearance, so include it in your budget rather than treating it as part of the television price.
TCL’s North American NXTFRAME launch material says the set includes a light-wood-colored magnetic frame and a flush wall mount. Regional A300 pages may list additional frames as separate items. Hisense describes CanvasTV with a teak frame and other frame choices, but its U.S. material also advises confirming the exact current model and box contents. Read the specification and “what’s in the box” sections for the exact SKU before ordering.

Questions to ask about a frame
- Is the shown frame included in this region and size, or is it a display sample?
- Does the frame attach magnetically, mechanically, or with another system?
- Will a replacement frame fit the exact model-year chassis?
- Does adding a frame obstruct sensors, speakers, ventilation, or a wall-mount bracket?
- What is the return policy if the color or fit does not match the room?
Art access: free galleries, personal photos, AI images, and subscriptions
“Art included” can mean several different things. A television may provide a small free collection, let you upload personal photos, generate or select AI images, or offer a larger licensed catalog behind a monthly or annual plan. Those options are not interchangeable in curation, licensing, image quality, refresh frequency, or availability by country.

Samsung The Frame and Frame Pro
Samsung’s 2025 U.S. announcement describes Art Store Streams as a no-cost selection. The U.S. LS03FA 55-inch page says a Samsung account and Wi-Fi are required for the relevant art features, and that a subscription is required for all Art Store works. That page also describes 30 refreshed artworks each month through Art Store Streams and more than 70 complimentary ambient-content items over the year. Samsung’s highlights page advertises more than 5,000 works in the full Art Store; treat that as a current Samsung catalog claim, not a permanently guaranteed or independently audited count. Full access, catalog size, and terms can change by market and date.
The free stream is therefore not the same thing as unlimited access to the complete catalog. If a particular museum, artist, or image matters to you, verify that it is available under the plan offered in your country before buying the hardware.
TCL NXTFRAME and A300
TCL describes a complimentary Art Library, personal photo-gallery modes, and pre-generated AI images. Its A300W page presents an Art Gallery and AI-generated art, while the North American launch material describes the matte anti-reflective screen, included frame, and flush wall mount. TCL notes that its AI images are pre-generated rather than created in real time. The regional product page for your model is the authority for the included library and supported functions.
Hisense CanvasTV
Hisense describes CanvasTV with Art Mode and free artworks. Its product material also describes frame options, while the U.S. 2025 lineup announcement says the family expanded with 75- and 85-inch models and includes an ultra-slim wall-mount concept. Confirm the current model’s artwork selection, frame, and mount in the local specification because bundles can differ.

LG Gallery+
LG Gallery+ is a service for supported LG televisions rather than a direct hardware equivalent to every dedicated art TV. LG’s U.S. page says it supports LG TVs released in 2025 or later running webOS 25 or newer, although some models may receive support through a software update. The page lists more than 5,000 content items, a one-month free trial, and a full service price of $5 per month, with photos, generative AI, music, and briefing features. Price, eligibility, and content are geographic and can change, so check the service page and your TV’s software version at purchase.

LG has separately announced a dedicated Gallery TV planned for its 2026 lineup, with a screen designed to reduce glare and reflections. That announcement should not be treated as proof that the product is already on sale in your country; verify launch status and local stock before making a purchase decision.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung The Frame (2025 U.S. lineup) | Anti-Reflection with Matte Display; Art Mode; free Art Store Streams plus a paid full Art Store tier | Swappable/customizable bezels; the LS03FA page says bezels are sold separately | Slim-Fit wall mount and One Connect Box described by Samsung | U.S. sizes listed as 43, 50, 55, and 65 inches; verify local SKU |
| Samsung Frame Pro (2025 U.S. lineup) | Anti-Reflection with Matte Display and Art Mode | Swappable/customizable bezels; exact bundle varies | Wireless One Connect described by Samsung; mount details depend on model | U.S. sizes listed as 65, 75, and 85 inches; verify local availability |

| LG Gallery+ | Art-display service with photos, generative AI, music, and briefings | Uses the bezel and hardware of the compatible LG television | Depends on the supported LG TV | U.S. page lists webOS 25+ support, one-month trial, and $5/month; check eligibility |
The table shows why a simple “which art TV is best?” ranking is unreliable. Samsung emphasizes a mature art-store ecosystem and dedicated connection hardware; TCL and Hisense describe included libraries and frames; LG adds a service layer to compatible televisions. The right choice depends on whether you value a particular catalog, an included frame, a wireless or separate connection box, a large screen, or freedom from a paid art plan.
Do not neglect ordinary television specifications
Choose the size from viewing distance and everyday use, not from the artwork alone. A screen that looks balanced as a wall picture may feel too small for subtitles or split-screen gaming. Conversely, a very large panel can dominate a narrow room even when the frame looks attractive.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Picture and motion
Compare resolution, HDR support, processor behavior, black levels, motion handling, brightness, and viewing-angle performance for the exact model. Art mode is usually static, but television viewing may include fast sports, dark films, and compressed streaming video. Manufacturer art-TV pages do not establish that one line is superior in every one of these categories, so use the ordinary TV specification sheet and a return policy to manage uncertainty.
Gaming and inputs
Count the HDMI inputs you need for consoles, a soundbar, a streaming box, and a cable or satellite receiver. Check the supported refresh rate, variable-refresh features, automatic low-latency mode, and audio-return connection if gaming or a receiver matters. A slim art-oriented chassis can move ports to a separate box or make cable routing more important than on a conventional set.
Sound and furniture placement
Plan for speakers, a soundbar, or an AV receiver before mounting. A frame can make a soundbar look visually separate, while a flush mount may leave little room for cables. Measure the wall outlet, network connection, and cable bend radius; do not assume that a very thin installation means every cable disappears inside the wall.

Installation, cabling, and wall requirements
Samsung describes a Slim-Fit wall mount and One Connect Box for The Frame, and Wireless One Connect for Frame Pro. TCL’s North American launch describes an included flush wall mount. Hisense describes an ultra-slim wall-mount design. These arrangements can reduce visible wiring, but they do not eliminate the need to plan power, signal cables, ventilation, and service access.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Locate studs or use a mounting method rated for the television’s weight and wall type.
- Mark the centerline and viewing height while accounting for the frame’s outer dimensions, not just the panel.
- Identify where the connection box, power brick, router cable, and external devices will sit.
- Leave the manufacturer-specified clearance for ventilation and allow the set to be removed without damaging cables.
- Check that the mount, frame, and cable covers are compatible with the exact size and model year.
- If routing cables inside a wall, follow local electrical rules and use suitably rated in-wall cable.
A flush mount can make a frame look more authentic, but it also makes leveling and cable service harder. If you rent, have a masonry wall, or frequently change devices, a conventional mount with accessible cabling may be the more practical choice.
A buying process that avoids expensive surprises
- Define the use case. Decide whether the television will display art daily, occasionally, or only when idle. If art is incidental, a compatible TV plus a service may be better value than dedicated art hardware.
- Measure the room. Record viewing distance, wall width, window positions, outlet locations, and the space available for a soundbar or connection box.
- Shortlist exact regional SKUs. Model names such as The Frame, NXTFRAME, A300, and CanvasTV cover multiple sizes and markets. Save the full model code, not just the family name.
- Verify the reflection treatment. Read whether the maker calls it matte, Hi-Matte, nanocrystal matte, or anti-reflection, then inspect the exact set under your lighting if possible.
- Inventory the art access. Separate free curated material, personal-photo support, pre-generated AI images, trial periods, and paid catalogs. Confirm account, Wi-Fi, software-version, and country requirements.
- Price the complete installation. Add the frame or bezel, mount, delivery, professional installation, cable work, sound equipment, and any recurring art plan.
- Check the return and subscription terms. A subscription may renew automatically, and a television that looks good in a showroom may reflect a window differently at home.
- Keep the packaging until the installation is accepted. Inspect the panel, frame fit, mount hardware, remote, and connection box before disposing of the carton.
Common mistakes and how to prevent them
Assuming the pictured frame is included
Retail images often show the finished framed appearance. Confirm the box contents and accessory part number for your size and market. Samsung’s LS03FA page specifically identifies customizable bezels as sold separately, while TCL and Hisense describe included or supplied frame options that still require model-level verification.
Buying on the word “free”
Free art may mean a limited stream, a complimentary collection, user-uploaded photos, or pre-generated images. It does not necessarily mean the complete licensed catalog is included forever. Read the service terms before assuming a particular artwork will remain available.
Treating catalog counts as permanent
Samsung’s 5,000-plus Art Store figure, its monthly stream and ambient-item counts, and LG’s 5,000-plus Gallery+ content figure are manufacturer service claims tied to a date and market. Catalogs, licensing, and prices can change.
Ignoring account and network requirements
Samsung identifies a Samsung account and Wi-Fi as requirements for relevant art features. Similar services may depend on software versions and regional servers. Test the television on your home network before completing the installation.

- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Confusing a planned product with an available one
A product announcement is not a guarantee of local stock, launch timing, or supported sizes. This is particularly important for LG’s announced 2026 Gallery TV and for expanded large-screen families. Confirm a saleable local SKU before comparing prices.
Which buyer profile fits each approach?
Choose Samsung The Frame when the art ecosystem is the priority
The Frame is the clearest fit if you specifically want Samsung’s Art Mode and Art Store structure, are comfortable checking a subscription for the full catalog, and accept that customizable bezels may add to the cost. Its separate connection hardware and supplied Slim-Fit mount can simplify a clean installation, provided your wall and cable plan support them.
Choose TCL NXTFRAME or A300 when included presentation matters
TCL’s described combination of a matte screen, complimentary library, personal photos, pre-generated AI images, magnetic frame, and flush mount can suit buyers who want a framed appearance without starting with a separate bezel purchase. Confirm which of those items belongs to the exact regional model.
Choose Hisense CanvasTV when you want a large-screen art-mode alternative
Hisense’s CanvasTV range combines a Hi-Matte display, Art Mode, free artwork, and frame options, with 75- and 85-inch additions described for the U.S. 2025 lineup. Verify the current frame and mount bundle before comparing the total installed price.
Choose LG Gallery+ when you already own a compatible LG TV
Gallery+ may be the lowest-friction route if your LG television meets the webOS and release-year requirements and you mainly want an art and ambient-content service. It is not a replacement for a dedicated art-TV chassis or frame, so evaluate the existing TV’s reflections and wall presentation separately.
Final pre-purchase checklist
- Exact model code, size, year, and country confirmed.
- Reflection sources checked from the real seating positions.
- Matte or anti-reflection claim tied to the exact model, not just the product family.
- Frame or bezel inclusion, color, compatibility, and price verified.
- Mount, connection box, cable path, outlet, and wall structure planned.
- Free art, personal photos, AI content, trials, and paid catalog access distinguished.
- Account, Wi-Fi, software, and regional service requirements understood.
- HDMI, audio, gaming, brightness, motion, and viewing-angle needs compared with ordinary TVs.
- Subscription renewal, catalog volatility, return policy, and installation costs included in the budget.
For current manufacturer specifications, consult Samsung’s 2025 The Frame and Frame Pro announcement, the 55-inch LS03FA product page, Samsung’s Art Store highlights, TCL’s A300W page and NXTFRAME launch announcement, Hisense’s CanvasTV material and 2025 lineup announcement, and LG’s Gallery+ page and Gallery TV announcement. Manufacturer pages are the source for the cited feature, catalog, and bundle claims; they do not provide a universal independent glare ranking.
The Bottom Line
Buy an art TV only after confirming four things for the exact local SKU: how its matte screen behaves in your room, whether the frame and mount are included, what art is genuinely free, and what the television and subscription will cost over time. The best choice is the one whose installation, everyday TV performance, and art access match your room and budget—not the one with the broadest marketing claim.
