The vivo X300 Ultra is the more camera-focused, higher-specification handset on paper; the OPPO Reno16 5G (India model CPH2865) is notably lighter and has a slightly larger stated battery capacity. There is no valid direct price difference to calculate from the available figures: vivo’s prices are for China, while OPPO’s are for India. Compare the exact local model, storage, taxes and warranty before deciding.
Check the regional models before comparing
“OPPO Reno16” does not identify one universal configuration. The detailed Reno16 specifications and prices below apply to the India-market Reno16 5G, model CPH2865. OPPO says Reno16 series models and specifications vary by country, so confirm the model number and specifications on the local product page before using this comparison.
The vivo figures also come from more than one regional page: its global specifications are used for some X300 Ultra features, while the prices and certain configuration details are from vivo China. They do not establish what either phone costs or includes in every market.

These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not controlled test results. A higher processor tier or refresh-rate ceiling does not by itself establish a measured speed advantage, and battery capacity does not predict how long a phone will last. Refresh rates can also vary with the app, content and market. The ingress ratings use different test standards; they should not be read as identical protection conditions.

How the camera systems differ
X300 Ultra: multiple focal lengths and optional extenders
vivo India lists a ZEISS camera system with a 14 mm 50MP ultra-wide camera using a Sony LYTIA 818 sensor, a 35 mm 200MP documentary camera using Sony LYTIA 901, and an 85 mm 200MP APO telephoto. The company also lists compatible 200 mm equivalent Telephoto Extender Gen 2 and 400 mm equivalent Gen 2 Ultra accessories. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent findings about image quality.
The extenders are separate accessories, not standard handset features. vivo says the Imaging Grip Kit is compatible and must be purchased separately; the grip has a built-in 2,300 mAh battery. If considering an extender or grip, confirm local availability, price and bundle contents. The X300 Ultra Photographer Kit is a separately named China-market configuration; do not assume its contents apply to other bundles or regions.
Reno16: three 50MP rear cameras
The cited India Reno16 specification lists three 50MP rear cameras, a 3.5× optical telephoto and OIS on the main and telephoto cameras. OPPO’s 50MP autofocus front-camera specification and 100-degree field of view are also listed for this model. The available vivo global-page information does not establish a directly comparable front-camera entry.

Reno16 provides its own three-camera range without the listed X300-specific extender system. Neither megapixel counts nor focal lengths establish which phone takes better real-world photos; no independent comparative camera test is established here.

Price difference: the listed prices are from different countries
Do not subtract the rupee prices from the yuan prices or treat the result as a like-for-like price gap. The figures below have different currencies and markets, and do not establish matched local taxes, warranty terms, availability or street prices.

For a useful local comparison, match the same country and date, then compare the precise storage tier, tax basis, warranty and retailer price. vivo lists March 2026 as the X300 Ultra launch month on its China specifications; that does not make its China suggested prices a current price quote for another market.
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the X300 Ultra if its 14 mm, 35 mm and 85 mm camera setup, optional long-reach extenders, higher listed display resolution and refresh ceiling, or China-listed storage choices match what you need. Check whether the accessories and configuration you want are actually sold in your market.
- Consider the Reno16 5G if you are comparing the India CPH2865 and place a high value on the substantially lower listed weight, the stated 6,700 mAh battery capacity, or its India-market price for a 256GB configuration.
- For performance, photos or battery life, treat the spec sheet as a feature comparison, not a verdict. No independent benchmark, comparative camera test or battery-endurance test is established here.
OPPO described the Reno16 series as designed “with creators in mind” in a 25 June 2026 press release. That is the company’s promotional framing, not an independent assessment of the phones’ creative tools or results.
