The realme GT 6 pairs a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor with a sharp 120Hz display, a 5,500mAh battery and 120W charging. Its camera system adds a dedicated telephoto lens, but the 8MP ultrawide is a clear compromise. It is most appealing if you want speed, a large display and fast charging; whether it is a good buy now depends on your local price, stock and how much software support remains.
What the realme GT 6 offers
The GT 6 is a performance-focused Android phone with a high-end processor and fast storage. realme’s India specifications list Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, LPDDR5X memory in 8GB, 12GB or 16GB configurations, and UFS 4.0 storage in 256GB or 512GB configurations. Availability varies by region, so confirm the configuration sold in your market before buying. See realme’s India specifications.
That hardware, paired with a high-refresh-rate display, makes the GT 6 a plausible choice for gaming and demanding everyday use. The published specifications establish the components, not a guarantee of sustained performance in every game or workload; heat, software and the specific task all matter.
Is the display good?
The 6.78-inch display has a resolution of 2780 × 1264 pixels and supports refresh rates up to 120Hz. Review coverage describes it as an LTPO panel, which can vary its refresh rate, though the official specifications page is the appropriate reference for the listed size, resolution and maximum refresh rate. realme’s specification page.

realme advertises a local peak brightness of 6,000 nits. That is a manufacturer figure under test conditions, not a promise that the full screen will sustain that brightness during ordinary use. realme says its test data comes from its labs and may vary with testing environments and calculation methods. Read realme’s product-page qualification.
The curved display may suit buyers who like an immersive-looking screen, but it is not an automatic advantage. The available review material does not establish how often accidental touches occur, how easy the screen is to repair, or which protectors fit best. If you strongly prefer a flat panel, handle the GT 6 in person before deciding.
How good are the cameras?
The main camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-808 sensor with optical image stabilization. Review coverage also identifies a 50MP telephoto camera, giving the phone a dedicated option for tighter framing. The third rear camera is an 8MP ultrawide. realme’s specifications and GSMArena’s review.

The clearest camera drawback is the ultrawide. GSMArena’s June 2024 review criticizes it as inferior to the main and telephoto cameras. If you often photograph landscapes, interiors or groups with an ultrawide field of view, this is a meaningful weakness; a dedicated telephoto does not replace that perspective.
Battery, charging and durability
realme lists a 5,500mAh typical battery capacity and a 5,360mAh rated capacity, alongside 120W SUPERVOOC charging. The package list includes a 120W adapter, with an EU exception, as well as a protective case. Package contents can differ by region, so check the box details for the specific market and seller. Check realme’s package and battery specifications.
The global product page lists an IP65 rating. That is a useful stated dust- and water-resistance specification, but it should not be treated as permission to submerge the phone. realme GT 6 global product page.

How long will the realme GT 6 get updates?
India Today reported in 2024 that realme committed to three Android version upgrades and four years of security patches for the GT 6. That is a launch-era policy commitment, not a count of updates still remaining today. The phone’s current patch level and the remaining support period are not established here; check the update information for the exact regional model before purchase. India Today’s June 2024 report.

Should you buy the realme GT 6?
Consider it if you prioritize a powerful processor, a large high-resolution 120Hz display, fast charging and a telephoto camera. Think twice if ultrawide photography, a flat screen or a clearly established long remaining update window matters more to you.
Do not judge its value using its 2024 launch price. Current price, inventory, regional configuration and authorized-retailer status are not established here. Compare the actual local price and storage variant with the OnePlus 12R and iQOO Neo 9 Pro, both named as competitors in 91mobiles’ coverage; then weigh sustained performance, display shape, camera flexibility, battery and charging, remaining update support, and water and dust protection. 91mobiles’ GT 6 coverage does not establish current rival prices, so it cannot support a present-day value winner.
