Apple’s A18 Pro leads the cited Geekbench 6 CPU results, while Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 posts the higher AnTuTu 11 total in one comparison snapshot. That AnTuTu result is not a reliable cross-platform verdict: the publisher warns that iOS and Android scores are not directly comparable. Neither chip is a universal speed winner; performance depends on the task and, for a phone, its cooling, power limits and software.

At a glance: what the comparisons show

3DMark Solar Bay, NanoReview snapshot accessed 2026 8,190 7,585 Snapdragon scores higher in this different graphics workload.

These are scores reported by comparison databases, not results from a controlled test of matched phones. The two Geekbench sources publish different score aggregates, so compare results within each source rather than treating one set as a single definitive measurement. The figures were accessed in 2026; the pages may change.

What the specifications say

Qualcomm describes Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as a mobile platform built around a Kryo CPU, Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU. Its product brief lists 4 nm process technology, LPDDR5x memory support up to 4800 MHz, memory density up to 24 GB, UFS 4.0 storage, USB 3.1 Gen 2 support, Wi-Fi 7 capability and X75 5G modem-RF support. These are platform capabilities, not a promise that every handset includes every feature; optional features depend on OEM and carrier selection. Qualcomm also says to consult OEM specifications for device CPU speed. See Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 product brief and Qualcomm’s product documentation.

Third-party comparison databases list Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as an eight-core CPU with Adreno 750 graphics. They list A18 Pro as a six-core CPU with six GPU cores and a 3 nm process, compared with 4 nm for Snapdragon. Those A18 Pro details are database listings, not freshly verified Apple specifications. The process labels alone do not establish which phone lasts longer on a charge or sustains higher performance. Sources: NanoReview’s comparison and CPU-Monkey’s comparison.

How to interpret the benchmark differences

CPU work: the cited Geekbench results favor A18 Pro

Both comparison databases report higher A18 Pro Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core scores than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. That is evidence about the reported Geekbench snapshots, not a guarantee that every app or phone will feel faster. The sources aggregate results differently and do not describe a matched-device test controlling phone model, software, cooling or run conditions.

Graphics: the answer changes with the workload

The NanoReview 3DMark snapshot favors A18 Pro in Steel Nomad Light and Snapdragon in Solar Bay. The split is a useful reminder that a graphics score describes performance in a particular workload; it does not settle gaming performance across titles, graphics settings or long play sessions.

AnTuTu: do not declare a cross-platform winner from these totals

NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 snapshot shows a higher Snapdragon total, but the page explicitly warns that iOS and Android AnTuTu results are not directly comparable. Treat the figures as a within-page report, not proof that one platform is faster overall.

What chip-level scores cannot tell you about a phone

The chip is only one part of a phone’s performance. The exact handset’s cooling system, firmware, power limits and configuration influence how quickly it runs and whether it can maintain that performance under sustained load. The cited comparison pages do not establish matched-phone results for sustained performance, thermal behavior, battery life or gaming over time.

For a meaningful device-to-device check, record the phone model, operating-system version, benchmark version, run conditions and score source. For battery life or heat, look for tests of the specific phone under comparable conditions rather than inferring behavior from a processor node label or a short benchmark run.

  • Your workload: Check relevant app, game or benchmark results instead of relying on one overall score.
  • Sustained use: Look for testing on the exact model for extended gaming or other demanding work; these chip comparisons do not resolve thermal behavior.
  • Battery life: Use comparable phone-level battery tests. The cited sources do not establish a matched battery comparison.
  • Configuration and connectivity: Verify the handset’s memory, storage, wireless and modem features; platform support does not guarantee OEM inclusion.
  • Software and ecosystem: Choose the operating system, apps and services that suit you, since processor scores do not measure ecosystem fit.
  • Price and availability: Compare the specific phones where you live. A chip-level comparison does not establish handset pricing or availability.

Verdict

If your question is strictly about the cited Geekbench 6 CPU snapshots, A18 Pro scores higher in both databases. There is no sound overall winner from these figures alone: the AnTuTu comparison is explicitly not directly comparable across iOS and Android, and the 3DMark results vary by workload. For a buying decision, compare the exact phones and the performance, thermals, battery life and software that matter to you.
