Stop at the final confirmation screen if an EA SPORTS FC Squad Building Challenge (SBC) shows a player you did not intend to submit. EA Help says items submitted to an SBC are permanently removed from your Club, and EA Advisors cannot restore items submitted this way.
First verify the challenge and every displayed player. If the correct squad still will not submit, test the same challenge in another supported interface—the game, Web App, or Companion App—then restart your PC or console if content appears missing. These steps can isolate an interface or loading problem, but forum reports do not establish a guaranteed fix for every title, platform, app version, or SBC.
1. Pause before you confirm the SBC
An SBC submission is not a reversible draft. The players shown in the confirmation warning are the items the game is asking you to exchange for the reward. If the list is wrong, cancel out of the confirmation screen rather than accepting it.

- Read the SBC group and individual challenge name at the top of the screen.
- Confirm that the requirements match the challenge you meant to open, especially when several challenges have similar names.
- Look at the reward description before submitting. A familiar-looking squad can still belong to a different challenge.
Check the complete player list
- Scroll through every slot, including substitutes or positions that are off-screen.
- Look for high-value, untradeable, first-owner, evolution, loan, or objective players that you intended to keep.
- Do not rely only on the squad rating or chemistry summary; those totals cannot tell you whether one individual card is wrong.
Read the confirmation warning
The warning is your last opportunity to cancel. Compare its player list with the squad you built. If the warning names a different card, or if a card appears unexpectedly after you selected “Submit,” leave the screen and rebuild or reload the squad instead of confirming.

EA Help’s guidance on missing EA SPORTS FC items explains the consequence: once an item is submitted into an SBC, it is removed from the Club, and EA Advisors cannot restore it. That policy is why troubleshooting should happen before the final confirmation, not after it.
2. Identify what kind of failure you have
“Wrong players” and “failed submission” can describe different situations. Classifying the symptom prevents you from changing settings that are unrelated to the problem.
The squad displays the wrong players
This means the builder itself contains cards you did not choose, or the confirmation screen does not match the squad you just assembled. Treat the displayed list as unsafe until you can make it match your intended submission. Do not submit merely because the rating, chemistry, or reward looks correct.

The correct squad is displayed but submission is rejected
Messages such as “Can’t submit SBC,” “Failed to Submit Challenge,” or “error while submitting sbc” are literal phrases used in EA forum thread titles. They describe a failed action, but they do not identify a single cause. The available reports do not prove that a server outage, chemistry issue, storage defect, or particular platform is responsible in every case.
The players or other content appear to be missing
If cards, packs, or other Club content disappear from view rather than merely failing validation, use EA’s missing-items procedure first. The published recommendation is to restart the PC or console and then check whether the content is still missing. This is a recovery check, not a promise that every SBC error will be repaired.
3. Run this troubleshooting sequence
- Cancel the final confirmation. If any player is unexpected, back out without submitting. Record the challenge name, the affected player, your platform, and whether you are using the game, Web App, or Companion App.
- Reopen the challenge and rebuild the squad. Remove and re-add the questionable card rather than assuming the visible tile is correct. Review all slots and the confirmation warning again.
- Test another supported interface. If the game fails, try the Web App or Companion App, provided your account and the current title support that surface. If an app fails, try the game or the other app. Use the same challenge and, as closely as possible, the same squad so that you are testing the interface rather than changing several variables at once.
- Restart when content looks missing. Close the game or app, restart the PC or console, sign in again, and check the Club and SBC screen. This follows EA Help’s published missing-content advice.
- Record the result in each interface. Note whether the squad displays correctly, whether the submit button is available, the exact error wording, and whether the failure occurs before or after the confirmation warning.
- Stop if the wrong list returns. Do not keep confirming attempts in the hope that one will eventually work. A repeated display mismatch is a reason to wait, reload, or seek support, not to risk a valuable card.
4. Compare the available submission interfaces
The game, Web App, and Companion App are useful as diagnostic alternatives. The available forum evidence does not support ranking one as universally more reliable; the useful question is whether the same challenge succeeds in one interface and fails in another.

When switching interfaces, avoid making simultaneous squad changes. A different player list, a different challenge, and a different client would leave you unable to tell which change mattered.

An EA forum user discussing FC 25 reported an error while using SBC Storage and said other SBCs worked when that storage path was avoided. That observation is worth testing only if your failure occurs specifically with cards held in SBC Storage.
A safe test
- Leave the SBC without submitting.
- Reopen the challenge and determine whether the affected cards are being selected from SBC Storage or from the regular Club.
- If the same eligible cards are available in the Club, try a duplicate squad using those cards while keeping the challenge and interface unchanged.
- Compare the confirmation list before you submit.
A successful test would show a correlation in your account, not prove that SBC Storage is generally defective. The FC 25 report is anecdotal, and it cannot establish the cause of an error in another title, platform, or app version.

6. Check the details support will need
If the failure continues, collect precise context before contacting EA Help or an official support channel. “It will not submit” is less useful than a reproducible description.
- Title and edition: identify the EA SPORTS FC release you are playing. The cited forum cases involve FC 24 and FC 25 and should not be generalized automatically to a newer title.
- Platform: record the console or PC environment and whether the attempt was made in the game, Web App, or Companion App.
- Challenge: provide the exact SBC group and challenge name, not only the reward.
- Squad state: note whether the wrong player appears while building, only after pressing submit, or only in the confirmation warning.
- Storage location: state whether any affected card came from SBC Storage.
- Exact message: copy the complete error text, including capitalization, rather than paraphrasing it.
- Timing and repetition: record whether the issue happened once, after a restart, and in which interfaces it reproduced.
Do not send a confirmation screenshot that exposes account credentials or other private information. A screenshot of the challenge and error can help only if sensitive details are obscured.

Do not assume a server outage
A failed submit can happen during a temporary service or client problem, but the available material does not confirm a current outage or provide a universal outage diagnosis. If another interface works, that is evidence about your session, not proof of a global condition.

Do not assume chemistry is the cause
Some SBCs validate chemistry, leagues, nations, ratings, or other requirements. A failed submission can therefore reflect an ineligible squad, but a wrong-player display is a separate safety problem. Check the challenge requirements and the actual cards rather than treating every error as chemistry-related.
Do not assume a storage bug
The single FC 25 SBC Storage report does not establish a general defect. Use it as a narrowly scoped comparison only when your own error tracks the storage location.
Do not assume support can undo a confirmed submission
EA Help’s stated policy is that advisors cannot restore items submitted into an SBC. Support can still help investigate account or content issues, but you should not confirm a wrong squad expecting a later reversal.
8. When to stop troubleshooting and contact EA
Contact current EA Help support when the exact squad continues to fail across supported interfaces, when content remains missing after the restart check, or when the confirmation screen repeatedly shows players you did not select. Include the challenge, title, platform, interface, exact message, and your test results.
Explain the sequence in order: what you selected, what the confirmation screen showed, whether you canceled, which interfaces you tried, and what changed after restarting. This gives support a reproducible case without claiming a cause that has not been established.
Because the forum reports are user anecdotes from particular FC 24 or FC 25 situations, there is no evidence here for a single current fix that applies to every SBC. If support asks you to retry, recheck the displayed squad at every confirmation step before accepting.
