If you cannot board the Frigate in ARC Raiders, first confirm that the Frigate map condition is active. During the encounter, use one of the circular drones deployed by the ship: climb or grapple onto it, disrupt it, and stay aboard while it carries you upward. Once on the ship, register damage against a Hydra, a Vaporizer, and a Rocketeer. The quest requires those objectives to register; it does not necessarily require kills.
Start by checking whether the Frigate is active
The Frigate is described as a rotating map condition rather than a permanently available destination. If the condition is not active for the raid, you may search the entire map without finding a usable boarding route, and the quest objectives may not be available.

The available walkthrough guidance describes a specific route: use a circular drone deployed by the Frigate. This is reported behavior, not a guarantee that every future build will work identically. If a patch changes the encounter, the in-game objective and current official notes take precedence.

- Reach the top of the drone. Climb onto it if its position allows, or use a Grappling Hook or Snap Hook to get aboard. Approach only when you can land securely; falling during the approach leaves you below the ship and may force you to wait for another opportunity.
- Disrupt the drone. Interact with it once you are actually standing on the platform. The walkthrough describes a disruption interaction that changes the drone’s movement.
- Stay on the platform. After the interaction, remain aboard as the drone rises toward the Frigate. Jumping off early can cancel the route and leave the “find a way on top” objective incomplete.
- Confirm that you are on the ship. Use the quest tracker and your surroundings to verify that the boarding objective has registered before moving on to the combat objectives.
If the interaction prompt does not appear, check your position first. The reported method assumes that the character is on top of the deployed circular drone, not merely standing beside it or underneath it.
What the “Boarding the Frigate” quest actually requires
A community quest reference lists Celeste’s objectives as finding a way on top of the Frigate, damaging a Hydra, damaging a Vaporizer, and damaging a Rocketeer. These are separate checklist entries, so completing one target does not complete the others.

Because that detail is less firmly established than the target list, treat it as reported guidance: apply enough damage to produce a tracker update and check the quest screen before extracting. Do not assume that merely being present while a squadmate attacks a target will credit you.

Prepare for the encounter before you deploy
The walkthrough recommending this route suggests bringing ammunition and healing. That advice matters because you may need to remain in the encounter long enough to find all three enemy types, land qualifying damage, and return safely after boarding.
- Carry a way to reach the drone. A Grappling Hook or Snap Hook can help when the drone is elevated or difficult to climb.
- Bring sufficient ammunition. The quest tracks damage to three named ARC types, so running out of ammunition before the final target can prevent registration.
- Bring healing. The Frigate encounter can expose you to enemy fire while you wait for a drone, cross the ship, or damage a target.
- Leave room for quest supplies. The community reference lists a Seeker Grenade, Grappling Hook, Barricade Kit, and two Lure Grenades as granted items. Check your current quest screen because item grants can change.
These preparations improve your margin for error; they do not replace the requirement that the Frigate condition be active or that each objective register.
Troubleshoot a missing interaction or an objective that will not complete
There is no verified official bug notice or universal workaround for a failed Frigate interaction in the available material. The checks below follow the reported boarding sequence and the quest’s separate objectives, so use them as practical diagnostics rather than confirmed fixes.

Community coverage describes additional ship activities, including deeper paths, power-related interactions, cargo areas, extraction considerations, and possible puzzle elements. The available evidence does not establish a complete, repeatable solution for every one of those mechanics, and those activities are not listed as required objectives in Celeste’s quest reference.
For this quest, keep the scope narrow:
- Board the Frigate through the reported circular-drone route.
- Damage a Hydra, a Vaporizer, and a Rocketeer.
- Verify all four quest entries, including boarding, before deciding whether optional event activities are worth attempting.
