If Thornblade is missing in Aniimo, first confirm which form you are hunting. Basic Thornblade is listed in Sea of Flowers, Towerwood Thornblade in Rosetower Woods, Thunderstorm Thornblade in rainy or stormy weather, and Prismana Thornblade during Prismana Flow. In Sea of Flowers, inspect landmarks—especially the chest area—because one location guide describes the creature as partly buried beside a chest with three Budsquires.
Start by identifying the Thornblade form
“Thornblade” is not one universal encounter. The location and the condition depend on the form shown in your target, habitat list, or map. A game-data-derived location guide lists four relevant forms, while a map guide updated October 7, 2026, lists Sea of Flowers for Basic, Thunderstorm, and Prismana forms and Rosetower Woods for Towerwood. Check the form before searching; otherwise you can spend time in the correct-looking area while looking for the wrong version.

The level ranges in the table describe the listed region or form data. They are not spawn probabilities, a guarantee that every copy will be at one level, or a promise that a creature will appear every time you enter.

Use the habitat and map information as separate checks
Open Aniimo’s habitat or map view, if your current game build provides one, and read the area and condition indicators together. Treat region, form, and condition as three different questions:

- Form: Is the target Basic, Towerwood, Thunderstorm, or Prismana?
- Region: Does the listing send you to Sea of Flowers or Rosetower Woods?
- Condition: Does the form require rain, a thunderstorm, or Prismana Flow?
A special-area icon can identify an Aniimo area without marking the creature’s exact position. Recent player reports also describe inconsistent exact-location display. Use the icon to choose the search area, not as proof that Thornblade must be standing on the icon itself.
Finding Basic Thornblade in Sea of Flowers
Search the chest landmark first
For the earliest Sea of Flowers encounter, a third-party location guide reports Thornblade partly buried beside a chest, accompanied by three Budsquires. That description explains why a scan of open ground can fail: part of the model may blend into the terrain, and the chest and Budsquires can draw your attention away from the ground immediately beside them.
- Travel to Sea of Flowers while targeting the Basic form, unless your map specifically shows a weather or event form there.
- Locate the chest landmark described by the guide.
- Walk around the chest rather than viewing it only from the approach path. Check the ground on every side and look for a partially buried model.
- Look for the three Budsquires. Their presence is a useful visual clue for the reported encounter, not an official guarantee that every instance uses the same arrangement.
- If the creature is not immediately visible, move the camera lower and inspect the terrain around the chest before concluding that the spawn is absent.
The chest-and-Budsquires placement is a guide report that aligns with the Sea of Flowers habitat listed in game-data-derived material. It was not independently confirmed in an official source, so use it as a search lead rather than a fixed, patch-proof coordinate.
Checking Thunderstorm Thornblade
Thunderstorm Thornblade is tied to rain or a thunderstorm. “It is raining” answers only the condition part of the check; it does not establish the form, region, exact position, or guaranteed visibility of an encounter.

- Confirm that the target entry is Thunderstorm Thornblade, not Basic Thornblade.
- Confirm that the map or habitat listing points to the applicable area. The recent map guide includes Sea of Flowers among the areas associated with Thunderstorm form.
- Wait until the game visibly reports rain or a thunderstorm, then search the nearby habitat and landmarks rather than only the map icon.
- If the weather changes, re-check the condition before treating the missing encounter as a broken spawn.
The available guide does not establish that every rainy period produces a visible Thornblade. It also does not provide a spawn-rate figure or a reliable respawn interval, so there is no evidence-based percentage or timer to use for troubleshooting.
Checking Prismana Thornblade
Prismana Thornblade is associated with Prismana Flow. The event state is separate from ordinary weather. If the target says Prismana, verify that Prismana Flow is active and that you are searching the area listed for that form; rain alone is not a substitute for the event condition.
When the event is active, use the habitat or map view to identify the listed area, then search around nearby landmarks. An event marker can identify a special Aniimo zone without revealing the creature’s precise position, so inspect the zone rather than stopping at the marker.
Finding Towerwood Thornblade in Rosetower Woods
Towerwood Thornblade is the form associated with Rosetower Woods, listed at levels 44–51 in the game-data-derived location material. This is a different regional check from the Sea of Flowers search. If the target is Towerwood, a careful chest search in Sea of Flowers will not resolve the mismatch; travel to Rosetower Woods and confirm that the form name matches your target.

Because the available evidence identifies the region and level band but does not document a single landmark equivalent to the Sea of Flowers chest, do not assume the chest description applies to Rosetower Woods. Use the in-game habitat information and search the indicated area.
How to interpret map markers
Players have reported that an icon may show a special Aniimo area without pinpointing the creature and that exact-location display can be inconsistent. These are community observations, not a documented mechanic with a guaranteed behavior.
- Use the icon to select the right zone.
- Read the form and condition text before searching.
- Check nearby terrain and landmarks, including chests, instead of circling only the icon.
- Do not infer a precise spawn coordinate from the size or center of an area marker.
If the icon remains after you have searched, that does not by itself prove Thornblade is currently visible. Conversely, a missing or imprecise icon does not prove that the habitat entry is wrong. The marker behavior is best treated as a navigation aid with limitations.
Use the Budsquire evolution route as an alternative
If your goal is to obtain Thornblade rather than to document a wild encounter, the game-table-derived guide describes an alternate route through Budsquire. According to its tables for client version 1.0, Budsquire can evolve at level 27 after defeating a Thornblade with a party containing only that Budsquire and spending a Sprout Stone.

- Raise the Budsquire to level 27.
- Build a party containing only that Budsquire for the required battle.
- Defeat a Thornblade under that party condition.
- Spend a Sprout Stone to trigger the evolution.
These requirements are attributed to version 1.0 client tables and may change in a later patch. If your current build rejects the evolution, check the game’s current in-game instructions and confirm the level, party composition, battle requirement, and item requirement rather than assuming the older table is still authoritative.

You are searching for the wrong form
Basic, Towerwood, Thunderstorm, and Prismana Thornblade do not share one simple spawn rule. Re-read the target’s full name before moving regions or waiting for weather.
You are in the right region but the wrong state
Rain or a thunderstorm matters for Thunderstorm form, while Prismana Flow matters for Prismana form. A normal clear-weather search cannot confirm a weather- or event-dependent target.

You searched open ground but not the landmark
The reported Sea of Flowers encounter is partly buried beside a chest and three Budsquires. Inspect the ground around the landmark from multiple angles.

You treated an area icon as an exact coordinate
Community reports describe markers that identify a special area without locating the creature precisely. Search the surrounding zone and landmarks.
You assumed a guide detail is an official guarantee
The chest placement comes from a third-party guide, and the marker behavior comes from player reports. Both can help you search, but neither establishes a patch-independent spawn rule.
A concise troubleshooting checklist
- Write down the exact form name shown by your target.
- Match Basic to Sea of Flowers or Towerwood to Rosetower Woods.
- For Thunderstorm, verify rain or a thunderstorm and the listed habitat.
- For Prismana, verify that Prismana Flow is active.
- Use the habitat or map view, but treat its marker as an area indicator.
- In Sea of Flowers, inspect the chest area and look for three Budsquires and a partly buried model.
- Do not use an unverified spawn-rate or respawn timer; none is established by the available guides.
- If obtaining Thornblade is the priority, consider the Budsquire level-27 evolution route, remembering its version-1.0 caveat.
What the available evidence does—and does not—establish
The strongest practical information is the form-to-region and form-to-condition mapping: Sea of Flowers for Basic, Rosetower Woods for Towerwood, rain or thunderstorms for Thunderstorm, and Prismana Flow for Prismana. The chest landmark is a useful but unofficial location report, and marker behavior is anecdotal. No reliable statistic establishes how often Thornblade spawns, how long it takes to return, or whether every weather cycle produces one. An individual missing encounter therefore cannot be diagnosed as a confirmed bug from the location lists alone.
