If the Twisted Warden fight will not start, first check whether the earlier Warden encounter in Down Into The Deep Dark actually appeared and was completed. A player has reported that the earlier Warden never spawned and the gate to the Twisted Warden arena stayed closed. These reports describe different symptoms and should not be collapsed into one diagnosis. The official Xbox Wire preview describes the Twisted Warden as the climax of a Deep Dark cave delve, but that preview does not document current quest behavior or provide troubleshooting instructions.

If the earlier Warden did not spawn and the gate is closed
Check the quest state first
- Open the quest objective or journal while you are in Down Into The Deep Dark.
- Check whether the objective indicates that the preceding Warden encounter is still pending. Compare that with what happened in the level: did the Warden appear, and did you defeat it?

The commenter said this often helps with spawn glitches, but did not confirm that it fixed the original player’s problem. Treat it as a low-confidence attempt, not an established repair.

- Close the game fully rather than only suspending it. On a console, the commenter specifically mentioned closing it from the dashboard.
- Relaunch the game and load Down Into The Deep Dark again.

The exact menu wording can vary by platform, and the reported suggestion does not specify platform-specific button presses. If the reload changes nothing, do not keep repeating it indefinitely. This is a reasonable, reversible attempt to try because it was suggested in response to a spawn-glitch report, but there is no confirmation that it works for this particular quest problem.

Also distinguish leaving and reloading the quest from restarting the entire campaign. The Reddit poster explicitly asked whether they had to start over, but the report and comment do not establish that a campaign restart is required—or that it would fix the problem. Do not erase progress or take a more drastic step based only on that unanswered question.
If the Twisted Warden is present but does not attack
This is not the same as a closed gate or an absent boss. In a Minecraft Feedback post dated October 1, 2026, a player described a repeat-run sequence in which they entered the boss area before choosing the prompt to revive the Twisted Warden. The player then reported that the boss appeared but did not attack.
The post is a user report, not an official bug acknowledgement. It does not prove that this timing causes the behavior for other players, and it does not establish that leaving and re-entering, repeating the sequence, or choosing the prompt in a different order will fix it. Treat the reported order of events as something to note when describing the problem, not as a confirmed way to reproduce or prevent it.
