If Among Us Story: On Guard crashes, shows a blank window, or will not start, first identify which build you have. As of October 17, 2026, the full game is not released: Innersloth has announced February 17, 2027 as the launch date. The only announced playable version was a time-limited LudoNarraCon demo that ran October 8–15, 2026. A failed launch now may therefore mean the demo window has ended, your device does not meet the published requirements, or you are using a different build than the official listing.
Is Among Us Story: On Guard released yet?
No. Innersloth’s October 8, 2026 announcement schedules the full game for February 17, 2027. The same announcement describes a LudoNarraCon demo available from October 8 through October 15, 2026. Because the current date is after that announced window, a demo that no longer starts may simply be time-limited rather than broken.
The latest publisher announcement lists Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Android, iOS and PC. An earlier June reveal mentioned PC and Nintendo Switch systems, but the October announcement is the newer platform information. The official Steam listing describes a single-player game and provides Windows and macOS requirements.

Search results using phrases such as “Among Us Story: On Guard crashes,” “won’t launch” and “demo won’t start” do not establish that the game has a widespread, confirmed crash bug. They describe the problem readers are trying to solve, not a verified cause. No official title-specific crash advisory or tested repair is published in the available announcements and store listing.

Start with the build and availability check
Before changing settings, determine exactly what you downloaded. This prevents treating an expired demo as though it were the unreleased full game.
- Look at the store page or launcher entry. Confirm the title is the official Among Us Story: On Guard listing, rather than a similarly named file, fan project or unrelated Among Us application.
- Identify the edition. Write down whether it is the LudoNarraCon demo, a PC or Mac listing, or a platform build for Switch, Switch 2, Android or iOS.
- Compare the date with the demo window. The announced demo period ended on October 15, 2026. If you are trying to open that demo after the window, lack of access or a failure to proceed may be an availability condition rather than a hardware crash.
- Do not expect the full release before February 17, 2027. A listing, announcement or download that refers to a future release is not evidence that the complete game should launch today.
- Keep the source information. Save the store page name, platform, download date and any version number shown by the launcher. Those details let support distinguish an expired event build from a current release.
The publisher can change availability, release timing and supported platforms. Recheck the current Innersloth announcement and the official store listing when you troubleshoot, especially if you are reading this after the demo period.
Check your Windows or Mac against the published requirements
Steam’s listing supplies the following specifications. They are storefront-published requirements, not independent performance measurements, and the page stated that the game was not yet available when checked on October 13, 2026. Requirements may change before release.

The 2 GB figure is available storage, not the amount of memory the game uses while running. The 4 GB figure is system RAM. Meeting a minimum does not guarantee that every future build will run smoothly; it only tells you that your configuration matches the specification currently shown by Steam.
Windows checks
- Confirm that Windows is 64-bit and version 10 or later. A 32-bit installation does not match the listed requirement.
- Check the processor model. The minimum and recommended CPU shown by Steam is Intel i3-4330.
- Check installed memory and graphics hardware separately. The minimum graphics entry is Intel HD Graphics 4600; the recommended entry is Nvidia GTX 650.
- Verify at least 2 GB of available storage on the drive used for the installation.
If any of these values is below the listing, record the mismatch rather than assuming that reinstalling will solve it. The listing does not publish a guaranteed workaround for an under-specification.
Mac checks
- Confirm macOS 12 or newer.
- Identify whether the Mac uses Apple Silicon or Intel; both processor families are listed as supported.
- Check for at least 4 GB RAM and 2 GB available storage.
- Compare graphics hardware with Intel HD Graphics 4000 minimum or Nvidia GTX 750M recommended.
A Mac that is below the operating-system, graphics or storage entries does not match the published configuration. The listing does not provide a separate fix for those cases.

What to do when the demo won’t start on PC
Use this sequence as a diagnosis, not as a guaranteed game fix. Official sources do not document a title-specific repair procedure.

- Confirm the event status. If the installed copy is the October LudoNarraCon demo and today is after October 15, check whether the official listing still offers an active build. An expired event build may not be expected to open.
- Confirm the storefront. The Steam page is the official PC listing identified in the available information. Avoid executables obtained from an unverified mirror, because their behavior cannot be attributed to the published game.
- Write down the exact launch behavior. Distinguish between no visible response, an immediate crash, a black or blank window, a message about missing files, and a crash after the title screen. Do not paraphrase an error if you can preserve its exact wording.
- Compare every requirement. Check operating-system architecture, processor, RAM, graphics adapter and available storage against the table above. A single mismatch is useful information for support.
- Record the environment. Note Windows or macOS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, free storage, the store used and the date the problem occurred.
- Check for a current publisher notice. A later announcement may replace the demo or publish a known issue. The October 2026 information should not be treated as permanent release documentation.
Generic actions such as restarting the computer, reinstalling a download or changing graphics settings are not documented in the reviewed sources as tested fixes for this title. You may try ordinary platform diagnostics if you understand their effects, but report the original error and build information rather than claiming that one of those actions is an official solution.
When the game crashes after it opens
A crash after the title screen is different from an unavailable demo or a failure to launch. Capture the point at which it occurs so support can separate an availability problem from an in-game failure.

Capture a reproducible description
- State whether the crash happens before a menu, while loading, in the MIRA HQ training simulator or after another specific action.
- Record whether the application closes, freezes, returns to the desktop or displays an operating-system error.
- Include the exact date and time, because a limited demo’s availability can change during the event period.
- Attach the platform and operating-system details and identify the official demo or other build.
Do not describe an issue as a known bug unless Innersloth publishes that diagnosis. The available official material contains no verified common crash cause, frequency statistic or tested fix.

Innersloth’s October announcement lists Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Android and iOS alongside PC. The material available here does not publish device-level requirements, an Android or iOS version floor, console storage guidance or a platform-specific crash procedure.
If you are using a console
- Confirm that the download comes from the official Nintendo listing for the correct console generation.
- Record the console model, system software version, whether the problem occurs immediately or after loading, and the exact message shown.
- Check the current publisher announcement for whether that platform has an available demo or release. A platform being listed as planned does not prove that a playable build is currently downloadable.
If you are using Android or iOS
- Verify that the app is from the official platform store and that its title matches the publisher’s listing.
- Record the phone or tablet model, operating-system version, store region and the point at which the app closes or stalls.
- Do not infer a supported device range from the Windows and Mac specifications; those figures apply to the Steam listing only.
Because no mobile or console requirements are published in the available information, support needs the device and software details to determine whether your configuration is supported.

How to contact support with useful information
If the official listing is active, your device matches its requirements and the problem continues, contact the current support channel identified by Innersloth. Send one complete report instead of several short messages.
- Identify the product: Among Us Story: On Guard, including demo or full-release build if shown.
- Identify the source: Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Android or iOS.
- State availability: explain whether you are attempting the announced October demo after its October 15 end date or using a later listing.
- Provide system information: operating-system version, 64-bit status where relevant, processor, graphics, RAM and available storage for PC or Mac; device model and system version for mobile or console.
- Describe the symptom exactly: include the full error text, launch stage and whether the program closes, freezes or never appears.
- Include timing and steps: say when it began and list the shortest sequence that reproduces it.
This information is more actionable than saying only that the game “doesn’t work.” It also avoids presenting an unverified generic remedy as though it were confirmed by the developer.
Common mistakes that make the problem harder to diagnose
- Confusing the demo with the full game: the full release is scheduled for February 17, 2027, while the announced demo ended October 15, 2026.
- Using an old platform announcement: the October platform list is newer than the June reveal and should be used for current availability checks.

If it is Switch, Switch 2, Android or iOS, confirm that an official build is currently available and provide the device details because no platform-specific requirements are published here.
