If a Robinhood Chain transaction is pending, unconfirmed, or failed, first open Activity in Robinhood Wallet and look up the transaction in the Robinhood Chain Blockscout explorer. Do not submit the same trade again while the wallet says it is processing. For a signing failure, restore the device’s connection and retry; for a new transaction, make sure the wallet has enough ETH for gas.
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 network with its own transaction history and gas balance. Its activity is separate from balances and status screens in your Robinhood brokerage or Robinhood Crypto account.
Start with this five-minute triage
- Open Robinhood Wallet and select Activity. Find the transfer, swap, or other action and copy its transaction ID if one is shown.
- Check the transaction on Blockscout, the Robinhood Chain explorer. Search by transaction ID or wallet address. The explorer also supports searches by block and token.
- Match the network and address. Confirm that the transaction is on Robinhood Chain and that the sending or receiving address is the one you intended.
- If the wallet says processing, do not resubmit the same transaction or trade. A second submission can create a separate transaction rather than repair the first one.
- If it failed while signing, check your device’s internet connection and retry. If a swap failed after signing, treat a decentralized-exchange error as a possible cause instead.
There is no universal completion-time promise in Robinhood’s reviewed guidance. A pending transaction can take longer when the network is busy, confirmations are slower, or the transaction is larger.

What each status means

How to verify a Robinhood Chain transaction
1. Find the record in Wallet Activity
From the Robinhood Wallet dashboard, open Activity. Locate the relevant transfer, swap, or trade. Depending on the action and its state, the entry may show a pending, unconfirmed, or failed label and may include a transaction ID. Copy that ID exactly; it is the most precise way to locate the network record.

2. Search Blockscout
Open the Blockscout explorer for Robinhood Chain and paste the transaction ID into its search field. If you do not have the ID, search with the wallet address. Robinhood’s Wallet FAQ also describes explorer searches by block or token, which can help when an activity entry is incomplete or you are checking a broader history.
3. Read the network record, not just the app label
Compare the explorer’s sender, recipient, token, amount, and status with the action you intended. A wallet screen can remain unchanged while a network confirmation is still pending, whereas the explorer shows whether the transaction has been included and whether the network marked it successful or failed.
4. Use the correct account context
Robinhood Chain is independent of your Robinhood brokerage and Robinhood Crypto account balances. A self-custody wallet transaction will not necessarily appear in those account histories, and a brokerage or Crypto balance screen cannot confirm the state of a Chain transaction.

When a transaction remains pending or unconfirmed
Robinhood explains that “Transactions may be pending or unconfirmed because of the volume of transactions, confirmation speed, and transaction size for that network.” In practice, a busy network can process transactions more slowly, and a larger transaction can require more time or data handling than a simple transfer.
Do not duplicate a processing trade
Robinhood’s troubleshooting guidance is explicit: “Do not attempt to re-submit the same trade while it is processing.” Keep the original transaction open in Activity, record its transaction ID, and watch the corresponding Blockscout entry. Submitting again can create a second trade while the first is still capable of completing.
There is no fixed wait time to promise
The official guidance does not provide one universal number of seconds or minutes for every Robinhood Chain transaction. Confirmation depends on network conditions, confirmation speed, and transaction size. Avoid treating a short delay as proof that funds are lost, but also avoid repeatedly tapping a send or swap button simply because the status has not changed.

What to check while you wait
- Whether the transaction ID in Activity matches the one in Blockscout.
- Whether Blockscout shows the transaction on Robinhood Chain rather than another network.
- Whether the recipient address and token are correct.
- Whether the wallet app has a current internet connection and can refresh Activity normally.
Do not buy ETH on the assumption that it will force an already pending transaction to complete. Gas is required for a new transaction, not a guaranteed fix for one that is already in the network’s processing path.
What to do when the transaction failed
Failed while signing on the device
Signing is the point at which the wallet authorizes a transaction with the device. Robinhood lists a lost network connection and an internal wallet error as possible reasons a signing attempt fails. Reconnect the device to a dependable Wi-Fi or cellular network, return to the wallet, and retry the action. If the same signing error repeats, capture the exact message and transaction context before contacting support.
Failed swap or decentralized-exchange error
A swap can fail after the wallet-signing step because the decentralized exchange handling the swap returned an error. Check the failed entry in Activity and the explorer record before trying again. Confirm that you selected the intended network and token pair, and make sure the wallet has enough ETH to pay the network fee for a new attempt. A new swap should be submitted only after the original one is definitively marked failed, not while it remains processing.

Insufficient gas for a new attempt
Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its gas currency. The ETH needed for a network fee must be available in the self-custody wallet; ETH in a separate Robinhood brokerage or Robinhood Crypto account is not the same balance for this purpose. Gas availability matters when you initiate a fresh transfer or swap. It does not cancel, accelerate, or repair an already pending transaction.

When the transaction is not visible in the wallet
Start with the transaction ID, if available, and search Blockscout. If there is no ID, search the sending wallet address and inspect recent transactions. Use the explorer’s block and token searches when you need to narrow a large address history. Compare the destination address character by character with the address you intended to use.

A transfer sent to an incorrect address can be unrecoverable, especially when the address belongs to someone else or to a contract that cannot return the asset. Support cannot promise a reversal simply because the transaction was accidental. Preserve the transaction ID and destination details for any support request.

Incompatible network
Sending an asset through a network the recipient does not support can also make recovery impossible. A successful network confirmation does not mean a receiving service can credit the funds. Before any future transfer, verify the recipient’s supported network and the exact address format.
Robinhood Chain details useful for troubleshooting
Robinhood describes Robinhood Chain as an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 network. Its network identifier, or chain ID, is 4663. ETH is the gas currency, and Blockscout is the designated explorer. Most Robinhood Wallet users do not need to configure these values manually, but they are useful when checking an EVM-compatible wallet or confirming that a transaction was sent on the intended chain.
- Network: Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2.
- Chain ID: 4663.
- Gas token: ETH held in the self-custody wallet.
- Explorer: Blockscout for searching transaction IDs, addresses, blocks, and tokens.
When and how to contact support
Use the right support channel
For self-custody wallet issues, Robinhood lists walletsupport@robinhood.com. For questions tied to your account, Robinhood directs users to in-app support. Choose the channel that matches the problem so the request reaches the team that can inspect it.

Provide the transaction ID, network name, wallet address, current status shown in Activity, and a screenshot of the error or explorer record if one is available. Explain whether the action was a transfer, swap, or signing attempt, and note whether the transaction is pending, unconfirmed, or failed. This lets support distinguish a network confirmation delay from a local signing problem or a decentralized-exchange failure.
Protect your wallet credentials
Never send a secret recovery phrase, private key, password, or one-time authentication code to support or anyone claiming to represent support. A transaction ID and public wallet address are sufficient for diagnosing most status questions; secret credentials are not required.
Pre-send checklist to prevent another failure
- Confirm the recipient address and supported network before approving a transfer.
- Confirm the token and network for every swap.
- Keep enough ETH in the wallet for the gas fee of a new transaction.
- Use a stable internet connection during the signing step.
- After tapping send or swap once, wait for the wallet’s status instead of tapping repeatedly.
- Save the transaction ID until the explorer shows the final result.
These checks reduce avoidable errors, but they cannot eliminate network congestion or an exchange-side failure. If a transaction still behaves unexpectedly, the Activity record and Blockscout entry provide the evidence needed to decide whether to wait, retry, or escalate.
