Bring a ticket in the format your venue accepts, a charged phone, identification or payment method if required, and only items that fit the event’s current bag and prohibited-item policy. There is no universal concert packing rule: the venue’s event page and your ticket email control, and rules can change between shows.
Check those sources shortly before departure for door time, ticket delivery, bag dimensions, food and water allowances, screening, re-entry, and accessibility contacts. The examples below show how much policies differ; they are not interchangeable rules.
Start with the official event information
Open the venue’s current event page and your ticket email before packing. Confirm the event date, gate or door time, accepted ticket format, maximum bag size, prohibited items, food and drink rules, security process, re-entry policy, and accessibility contact. A venue may publish a general policy but apply additional restrictions for a particular concert.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors- Save the event page in your browser and check it again on the day of the show.
- Read the ticket email for delivery instructions, age rules, parking or entrance details, and any artist-specific conditions.
- Do not assume that a bag, bottle, camera, or re-entry privilege allowed at another venue will be accepted here.
For example, Seattle Mariners’ concert guidance says bag rules can vary by show and directs guests to the event-specific requirements: Seattle Mariners concert FAQ.

Prepare your concert ticket before leaving
Use the delivery method the venue specifies
Many venues use mobile entry. Sign in to the ticketing app or account while you still have reliable internet, open the event, and follow the venue’s instructions. Colonial Life Arena provides mobile-ticket directions in its Know Before You Go guide. Martin Marietta Center states that digital tickets are used there and that screenshots and print-at-home tickets are not accepted: Martin Marietta Center guide.
Do not rely on a screenshot when the barcode changes
Some ticket systems use a rotating barcode. Bethel Woods’ event guide describes SafeTix barcodes that refresh, so a static screenshot may fail at the gate: Bethel Woods event guide. Keep the ticket in the official app or account, turn up screen brightness, and avoid signing out after it loads.
Make the phone ready for entry
- Install or update the required ticketing app.
- Sign in and display the correct event before travelling.
- Charge the phone fully; carry a small power bank only if the venue allows it.
- Keep mobile data available in case the barcode must refresh.
- Bring the ticket purchaser’s identification only when the event or pickup instructions require it.
Some venues provide ticket-app access options, while others have separate pickup rules. The 313 Presents visit information and T-Mobile Arena’s A–Z guide explain their respective access or pickup procedures. Read the current page rather than inferring requirements from the ticket format used at another show.

| Bethel Woods | SafeTix barcodes rotate. | Use the live barcode; do not depend on a screenshot. |
| 313 Presents venues | Ticket-app access options are described on the visit page. | Follow that page for the event’s accepted access method. |
| Martin Marietta Center | Digital tickets are used; screenshots and print-at-home tickets are not accepted. | Display the original digital ticket. |
| T-Mobile Arena | Ticket pickup requirements appear in its A–Z information. | Check whether identification or a specific pickup location is required. |
Choose a bag only after checking its dimensions
There is no standard concert bag allowance. Measure the bag from the outside, including rigid sides and pockets, and compare it with the exact event policy. A clear bag that passes at one venue can be refused at another.

| Venue example | Published bag allowance | Exceptions or notes |
|---|---|---|
| Colonial Life Arena | Clear bag up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches; one-gallon clear bag; or small clutch up to 4.5 × 6.5 inches. | Check the venue page for inspection and exception procedures. |
| Bethel Woods | Clear bag up to 12 × 12 × 6 inches or a clutch up to 5.5 × 8.5 inches. | Its event guide also lists food and water conditions; recheck details for the specific date. |
| 313 Presents venues | Only very small bags are generally allowed; a single universal dimension is not stated on the cited visit page. | Medical and diaper-bag exceptions are identified and may require inspection. |
| Santander Arena | Bag restrictions apply, but a comparable maximum dimension is not stated in the cited FAQ. | Use its current FAQ or guest-services contact for the event’s limit. |
| Seattle Mariners concerts | Rules may vary by show. | Use the concert-specific instructions rather than the venue’s general baseball policy. |
If you buy or use a small clear concert bag, treat it as a conditional choice: verify its dimensions against the event page and remember that some venues permit only a clutch or prohibit ordinary bags entirely.
Medical and parenting exceptions
Do not hide medication, medical equipment, breast-feeding supplies, or a diaper bag inside a noncompliant bag. Find the venue’s exception process, carry only what is necessary, and allow extra time for inspection. 313 Presents specifically describes medical and diaper-bag exceptions, while Colonial Life Arena also explains exception and security procedures in its visitor guidance.
Know what cannot enter the venue
Prohibited-item lists are venue- and event-specific. Across the official policies reviewed, common restrictions include weapons, professional or otherwise restricted recording equipment, outside food or drink, and certain containers or accessories. The exact list can be longer, and an artist may impose additional rules.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Weapons and defensive items: Assume they are prohibited unless the official policy expressly provides an exception.
- Recording gear: Professional cameras, detachable lenses, audio recorders, tripods, and similar equipment may be restricted even when a phone camera is permitted.
- Food and drinks: Outside items are often barred. Bethel Woods publishes specific water and food allowances, but those conditions do not transfer to another venue.
- Containers and accessories: Hard-sided bottles, large umbrellas, oversized signs, and other accessories may be listed separately from the bag policy.

Plan for screening and re-entry
Allow time for security
Security screening may include bag inspection and other checks at the entrance. Arrive with pockets organized, ticket ready, and prohibited items left at home. A compliant bag still may be opened for inspection. Door time is not the same as show time; use the venue’s stated arrival guidance and account for parking, transit, queues, and accessibility routes.
Assume there is no re-entry unless the event says otherwise
Colonial Life Arena, 313 Presents venues, and Santander Arena publish no-re-entry rules. Bethel Woods’ event guide addresses re-entry conditions, which means you must read the instructions for that particular event rather than assume a universal policy. If you leave a no-re-entry venue, you may not be admitted again even with a valid ticket.
Make a leave-or-stay decision before entering
- Use the restroom, refill an allowed bottle, and resolve medication needs before the performance when possible.
- Ask a staff member about exits and re-entry before leaving the controlled area.
- If you need to retrieve a prohibited item from your car, understand that returning may not be allowed.
Arrange accessibility support in advance
Contact the venue’s accessibility or ticket-services team before the concert. Explain the specific support needed—accessible seating, an accessible entrance, mobility assistance, hearing or visual support, sensory accommodations, or a ticket exchange—because availability and procedures differ by venue and event.
What to ask for
- Accessible seating location, companion-seat availability, and how to purchase or exchange tickets.
- Step-free routes, elevators, accessible parking or drop-off, and restroom access.
- Assistive listening devices, captioning, sign-language interpretation, or other hearing support.
- Quiet spaces, sensory bags, weighted lap pads, or permission to bring medically necessary items.
- Whether an accommodation must be requested by a deadline or confirmed at guest services on arrival.
Examples of venue-provided services
Colonial Life Arena lists accessibility services and entrances in its visitor guide. Santander Arena’s FAQ describes sensory resources, including sensory bags and weighted lap pads available at no cost through its guest-services process, as well as assistive listening devices. These are examples of venue-provided support, not equipment you need to purchase: Santander Arena FAQ.

Seattle Mariners’ concert FAQ provides accessible ticket support, and both its screening guidance and event-specific requirements should be checked before arrival: Seattle Mariners concert FAQ. Ask directly about the accommodation for your date; a service listed for one event may not be offered in the same form at another.
A practical packing list
- Original mobile ticket in the venue-approved app or account.
- Fully charged phone and, if permitted, a compact power bank.
- Identification or payment method when the ticket or venue requires it.
- Medication or medical supplies handled through the venue’s published exception process.
- A measured, policy-compliant bag—or no bag.
- Only food or water specifically allowed by the event policy.
- Optional hearing protection if you normally use it; choose a comfortable option and follow its instructions, without treating it as a substitute for medical advice.
Bethel Woods identifies cashless payment in its event information, so check whether your venue accepts cash, cards, or mobile payment before you arrive.

The barcode will not load
- Move to an area with better connectivity and reopen the official app.
- Confirm you are signed in to the account that owns the ticket.
- Ask the venue’s ticket window or guest-services team for help; do not purchase a replacement from an unverified person.
Your bag is refused
Do not argue at the screening lane or attempt to conceal the item. Ask whether the venue offers a storage or disposal option; otherwise return the item to your vehicle, give it to a nonattending companion, or leave the site. Re-entry may be prohibited.
You need an accommodation at the gate
Tell the first staff member that you need accessibility assistance and request guest services or the accessibility coordinator. Keep your ticket available, describe the functional support needed, and allow time for a seating or equipment adjustment.

Compare venues by the rules that affect your plan
When choosing between venues or preparing for multiple concerts, compare these practical fields rather than relying on reputation:
| Decision point | Question to answer |
|---|---|
| Bag policy | What type and maximum dimensions are allowed? Are medical or diaper-bag exceptions documented? |
| Ticket behavior | Is entry mobile-only? Does the barcode rotate? Are screenshots, printouts, or box-office pickup accepted? |
| Prohibited items | Are cameras, recording equipment, containers, food, or drinks restricted for this show? |
| Screening and re-entry | What checks occur, and can you return after exiting? |
| Accessibility | How are accessible seats, entrances, sensory services, hearing support, and ticket assistance requested? |
| Payment and logistics | Is the venue cashless, and where are the approved entrances and guest-services points? |
Accessibility FAQs
Can I request accessible seating after buying a ticket?
Contact the venue’s ticket or accessibility service as soon as you know you need an adjustment. Staff can explain whether an exchange, companion seat, or event-specific arrangement is available; do not assume the ticket seller’s general policy covers every venue.
Are sensory bags and weighted lap pads available at every concert?
No. Santander Arena documents no-cost sensory bags and weighted lap pads through guest services, but that is a venue example rather than a universal benefit. Ask your venue whether similar resources are available for your event.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can I bring medical equipment that violates the normal bag size?
Medical exceptions may exist, but the process varies. Contact the venue before arrival, describe the equipment, and follow its inspection instructions. A general clear-bag allowance does not replace an approved medical exception.
What if I need assistive listening or visual support?
Request the service through the venue’s accessibility or guest-services contact before the show. Ask about reservation deadlines, pickup location, identification requirements, and whether the support is provided for that specific performance.
