For a Warden attempt on Black Ops 7’s Rex Infernus, a current community quest guide suggests starting with one of four weapons—the Sokol 545, M34 Novaline, Voyak KT-3, or MXR-17—alongside Frenzied Guard, Semtex, and a Decoy. Treat that as a practical starting setup, not a proven best loadout: the available sources do not provide independent weapon comparisons or confirm a Warden damage strategy.
What to bring to the Warden fight
Call of Duty: Zombies Guides’ quest walkthrough, updated September 19, 2026, lists four starting weapon choices and a shared equipment setup. It does not rank the weapons or establish that one is best for every player or role.

Use Directed Mode for guided quest progress
Activision describes Rex Infernus as a round-based Zombies map and the Warden as the final confrontation in the Zombies storyline. In Season 06, Directed Mode adds on-screen Main Quest steps and caps the round at 15, making it the more guided option if you want help progressing through the quest without pushing into higher rounds. Activision’s Season 06 announcement lists the mode’s rules and rewards.

Activision says completing Rex Infernus in Directed Mode awards the “Netherclaw” Warden’s Blight Wonder Weapon Skin, the “Rex Infernus Directed Mode Completion” Calling Card, and 5,000 XP. These are specifically Directed Mode completion rewards, not general rewards for every Main Quest completion.

How the loadout fits into the quest
The weapon setup is only one part of the run. The community walkthrough identifies Shatter Blast and Shadow Rift among quest requirements and lays out a nine-step Main Quest route involving the Warden’s Blight, the Void Claw upgrade, the Nexus Forge, the Veytharion puzzle, four temple cleanses, and the final Warden encounter. Consult its linked walkthrough for the detailed interactions and locations rather than relying on a weapon list alone.

The sources reviewed establish the Warden as the concluding encounter, but they do not establish its exact attack phases, weak points, health behavior, arena layout, or damage windows. The Rex Infernus Wiki overview dated August 21, 2026, likewise says those details are not established in its verified briefing; that is a limitation of the briefing, not an official statement that the mechanics do not exist. Avoid treating any specific phase or weak-point strategy as confirmed on this evidence. Verify mechanics in-game and adjust your approach to what the encounter actually presents.
