Windows PC
The Windows edition is listed on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Those storefront pages publish the same core minimum and recommended specifications as S-GAME’s August 12, 2026 announcement. The PC listings are therefore the practical places to check availability, installation details and any final changes when the game launches.
What kind of game is Phantom Blade Zero?
Official store descriptions present Phantom Blade Zero as a single-player wuxia action game. You play Soul, a warrior with 66 days left to live. The listings describe more than 30 primary weapons and more than 20 Phantom Edges, giving the combat system a broad selection of weapons and special techniques.
Those descriptions establish the game’s premise and single-player format, but they do not establish a performance comparison between PS5 and any particular PC configuration. A PC that meets the recommended specification is not automatically equivalent to a PS5 in image quality or frame-rate behavior.
Phantom Blade Zero PC requirements at a glance
S-GAME publishes four hardware targets. The first two are general minimum and recommended configurations. The other two are mode-specific recommendations for ray tracing and path tracing.

The figures come from S-GAME’s “Phantom Blade Zero PC System Requirements Revealed” announcement dated August 12, 2026. They are publisher targets, not independent benchmark results or guarantees for every system.
Minimum requirements explained
Processor
The minimum CPU choices are an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600. These are the processor classes S-GAME associates with a 1080p, 30-FPS target when upscaling is enabled. A processor with a different model number should not be judged by the name alone; compare its generation, core configuration and real-world performance with these published parts.
Graphics card
The minimum GPU tier is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 with 6GB of video memory or an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8GB. The target is 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling enabled. The announcement does not promise a native-1080p result, a fixed visual preset or a specific upscaling technology.

The base minimum configuration requires 16GB of RAM, a 64-bit installation of Windows 10 or Windows 11, DirectX 12 and an SSD. S-GAME does not state the minimum SSD capacity or the game’s final installation size in this announcement. You should therefore leave more free space than the eventual download size rather than planning around an invented number.

Recommended requirements explained
Processor and graphics card
For the recommended tier, S-GAME names an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB. The stated target is 1440p at 60 FPS with upscaling enabled.
The recommended row is a substantial step above the minimum GPU class. It also changes the target from 30 FPS at 1080p to 60 FPS at 1440p. That difference is why a PC that meets the minimum should not be expected to deliver the recommended experience simply by changing a menu setting.
Shared platform requirements
The recommended row also specifies 16GB of RAM, Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12 and an SSD. The RAM requirement does not increase from the minimum row. The announcement still gives no installation-capacity figure.

Ray tracing and path tracing targets
Ray tracing
S-GAME recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB for its ray-tracing target of 1080p at 60 FPS with upscaling enabled. The announcement does not provide a separate CPU, RAM or storage specification for this mode. Do not interpret the RTX 5060 row as a complete replacement for the general operating-system, memory and storage information; it is a mode-specific GPU recommendation.

Path tracing
For path tracing, S-GAME recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB and targets 2160p at 60 FPS with upscaling enabled. The publisher does not list a separate processor, RAM or SSD configuration for this row either.
Path tracing is considerably more demanding than the base rendering modes in most games, but the available announcement supplies only the named GPU and target resolution/frame rate. Any claim about the exact CPU, memory headroom, graphics preset or upscaler required for this mode would go beyond the published specifications.
What “with upscaling enabled” means
Every performance target in the announcement includes upscaling. The minimum target is 1080p/30, the general recommended target is 1440p/60, the ray-tracing target is 1080p/60 and the path-tracing target is 2160p/60. These should be read as the publisher’s intended output targets under an upscaled rendering configuration, not as independent tests at native resolution.

The final image can vary with the chosen quality mode, sharpening, anti-aliasing and scene complexity. Because S-GAME does not publish a hands-on benchmark in the cited announcement, the requirements cannot tell you the exact frame rate you will see in every area of the game.

Can your PC run Phantom Blade Zero?
Use the following checklist against the general minimum and recommended rows:
- Check that your operating system is Windows 10 or Windows 11 in 64-bit mode.
- Confirm that DirectX 12 is supported and installed.
- Verify that the computer has at least 16GB of system RAM.
- Compare your CPU with the minimum pair (Core i7-8700K/Ryzen 5 3600) or recommended pair (Core i5-10600K/Ryzen 5 5600X).
- Compare your GPU with the minimum pair (GTX 1660 6GB/RX 5500 XT 8GB) or recommended pair (RTX 3060 Ti 8GB/RX 6700 XT 12GB).
- Install the game on an SSD and keep adequate free space for the download, installation and updates. The publisher has not yet stated a required capacity.
If your hardware falls between the listed tiers, the published table does not provide a guaranteed result. Your likely experience will depend on settings, resolution, upscaling mode, driver version and how heavily a particular scene loads the CPU or GPU.
Choosing between PS5 and PC
Choose PS5 when console features matter most
The PS5 version offers the listed DualSense adaptive triggers, haptics, Tempest 3D AudioTech and PS5 Pro Enhanced support. It is the straightforward choice if you want a fixed console platform and those controller and audio integrations without checking PC components.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesChoose PC when flexibility matters most
The PC version lets you select hardware, resolution and graphics settings, provided your system meets the published requirements. The recommended tier is aimed at 1440p/60 with upscaling, while the ray-tracing and path-tracing rows identify higher-end GPU targets for their respective modes.
The available information does not establish that one platform has better image quality, loading times or frame-rate stability than the other. Those comparisons require final software and hardware testing.
Important limits of the published specifications
- The SSD requirement is explicit, but no minimum capacity or total installation size is published in the cited announcement.
- The ray-tracing and path-tracing rows do not include complete CPU, RAM or storage configurations.
- The resolution and frame-rate figures include upscaling and are publisher targets, not guarantees.
- No independent benchmark or hands-on performance test is established by the cited listings.
- The release date differs by one day between S-GAME’s website and the two PC storefronts.
Because the game is unreleased as of the latest information available, check the final Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation and S-GAME listings before buying or upgrading hardware. Requirements, release timing and installation details can still be revised before launch.
