WARDOGS is a tactical multiplayer FPS in Steam Early Access, built around 100 players split into three teams fighting to control a zone. Whether it is worth buying depends on whether that large-scale, coordination-heavy format appeals to you—and on your tolerance for an Early Access game. The available information confirms the game’s premise and listed PC requirements, but not the specific pros, complaints, or verdict in the AngryJoe video indexed as “WARDOGS – IS IT WORTH $40? – Angry Impressions!”

What is WARDOGS?

WARDOGS is developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17. Steam describes it as tactical all-out warfare: 100 players divided among three teams compete to control a zone across a destructible battlefield. The developers also emphasize teamwork, local voice communication, and player-driven encounters.

That description points to a zone-control shooter, not a battle royale or extraction game. These are the game’s stated design aims, not independent findings about how well its systems work in practice. WARDOGS entered Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026, according to its Steam listing.

Is WARDOGS worth buying in Early Access?

Consider it if you want large team battles centered on capturing territory, and you are comfortable buying a game while it is still in development. The scale, three-team format, destruction, and communication focus are the main reasons to be interested. They also suggest that players who prefer small, self-contained matches or minimal coordination may find the premise less appealing.

The available information does not establish how complete the game feels, how reliably its matches run, what its roadmap promises, or what the AngryJoe video ultimately recommends. Its title’s “$40” is a question, not confirmation of the current price in your region or of a final review verdict. Check the Steam page for the price and Early Access details shown for your account before purchasing.

What does the AngryJoe “review” tell you?

The matching item is indexed as an “Angry Impressions” video, dated August 25, 2026, with a title asking whether WARDOGS is worth $40. That wording alone does not reveal the creator’s conclusion, specific praise or criticism, or whether the video reflects the game as it stood after Early Access began. Do not treat the title as an endorsement or a negative verdict.
