Trials Rising has not been announced as shut down. RedLynx is undergoing restructuring, but Ubisoft has not published a Trials Rising server-retirement date or confirmed that the studio has completed a closure. New tracks and bikes are already finished as a planned content cycle, while online features remain governed by Ubisoft’s service decisions rather than by the developer’s status alone.
What players can verify right now
The available official information supports a cautious answer: Trials Rising is still presented by Ubisoft as a released game, its support information remains available, and no game-specific notice says that its servers will close. Reports about RedLynx restructuring should therefore be treated as a developing corporate event, not proof that Trials Rising has already lost online functionality.
That distinction matters because a studio can be reorganized without an immediate change to a live game. Ubisoft might keep a small maintenance team, transfer responsibilities to another internal group, or eventually retire services through a separate announcement. None of those possibilities establishes a shutdown date by itself.

Season 6 was the final new-content season
Ubisoft News described Season 6, “Journey of Trials,” as the sixth and final season of new tracks and bikes. The planned content pipeline ended in 2020. Consequently, a later RedLynx closure would not be the event that stops regular production of new courses or motorcycles; that scheduled change had already happened.

Ubisoft’s announcement made the scope explicit: “Though this season marks the end of new tracks and bikes for Trials Rising, seasonal multiplayer rankings and events will continue to offer players an outlet for competition and a chance to earn seasonal items.” The statement separates content production from the game’s competitive services.
What “no new tracks” does not mean
Ending the season pipeline is not the same as removing the game. Existing campaign tracks, bikes, events and player-created content can remain playable after development of additional official tracks stops. It also does not, on its own, disable leaderboards, matchmaking or sharing. Those functions depend on the servers and account services that Ubisoft chooses to operate.
What RedLynx restructuring does—and does not—tell us
Confirmed corporate information
Ubisoft’s January 21, 2026 corporate announcement described restructuring at RedLynx. RedLynx’s own website described a strategic refocus and a restructuring proposal. Those statements document organizational change, but neither one announces a Trials Rising server end date, a removal from digital stores or a loss of support for a particular platform.

Responsibility for a live game can be divided among development, publishing, infrastructure, account, moderation and customer-support teams. If RedLynx were to close completely, Ubisoft could still operate servers or assign maintenance elsewhere. Conversely, a publisher can retire online services even when a developer remains open. The useful question is therefore which function changes, not simply whether the studio has a new legal or staffing status.

What Ubisoft has said about multiplayer and servers
When Ubisoft announced the end of new tracks and bikes, it also said that seasonal multiplayer and events would continue. The same announcement said that “servers will remain active, including leaderboards and sharing of player-designed tracks and cosmetic items.” This is an important historical commitment, but it is not a lifetime guarantee. A later, game-specific retirement notice could replace it.
Until Ubisoft publishes such a notice, there is no established Trials Rising shutdown date. Claims that a closure is scheduled should be checked against an official Ubisoft announcement rather than inferred from social-media posts, layoffs or the end of seasonal content.
How Ubisoft’s legacy-service policy affects the offline question
Ubisoft’s general legacy-service guidance says that when listed games are decommissioned, online multiplayer, in-game news and player statistics for most of those games are shut down, while offline features remain available. Trials Evolution PC appears in the reviewed retirement list with a January 25, 2024 retirement date. Trials Rising does not appear in that list.
This policy provides a pattern, not a Trials Rising-specific promise. If Ubisoft later lists Trials Rising for decommissioning, online functions would be expected to follow that pattern. The policy does not establish that such a listing has happened, and it does not supply an end date for Trials Rising.

If online services are eventually retired, what changes?
The effects would arrive by feature rather than as one universal “game off” switch. The following table distinguishes what is likely under Ubisoft’s stated legacy-service pattern from what remains uncertain until a formal notice specifies the details.
| Feature | While servers operate | If Ubisoft decommissions the service | Evidence status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official campaign and downloaded tracks | Playable locally, with online functions available where supported | Expected to remain available as offline features | Offline continuation is Ubisoft’s general policy; Trials Rising is not currently identified as retired |
| Online multiplayer | Seasonal competitive play and other server-dependent modes can connect | Expected to stop when the online service is shut down | Based on Ubisoft’s decommissioning pattern |
| Leaderboards and player statistics | Scores and rankings can be recorded and displayed | Expected to become unavailable | Explicitly included in Ubisoft’s legacy-service wording |
| In-game news and seasonal events | Events and notices can be delivered by the service | Expected to stop | Covered by Ubisoft’s policy and the earlier seasonal announcement |
| Sharing player-created tracks and cosmetic items | Uploads and downloads use Ubisoft servers | Expected to stop; already downloaded local data may behave differently by platform | Server dependence is clear; the treatment of every cached item is not specified |
| Bug fixes and customer support | Depends on staffing and publisher policy | Could be reduced or ended | No Trials Rising-specific staffing decision has been announced |
The table describes expected behavior, not a guarantee about every platform or entitlement. A retirement notice would be the authoritative document for dates, exceptions and any required account actions.
Can you still play Trials Rising offline?
What should remain playable
Under Ubisoft’s stated legacy-service policy, offline features remain available after online services are retired. That points to continued access to locally installed campaign content and other modes that do not need a server. It does not mean every screen, event or user-created item will work without a connection.

Important practical qualifications
Offline access can still depend on the platform recognizing your purchase, the game being installed, and any required authentication having completed. Downloaded content may also require the account and storefront that originally granted the entitlement. Ubisoft has not issued a Trials Rising-specific offline guarantee covering every platform, edition or downloadable item, so treat the policy as a general expectation rather than a technical promise for every setup.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Players who want to preserve offline access should install the game and owned add-ons while they are available, launch it at least once while connected, and avoid uninstalling a working copy solely because online features have changed. These steps do not preserve servers; they simply reduce the risk of being unable to authenticate or download content later.
Edition, platform and DLC considerations
Ubisoft’s product materials list Trials Rising, Gold Edition, the Expansion Pass and Crash & Sunburn content. The game was marketed for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Stadia-era availability. Store listings and platform support can change, especially for older releases, so availability should be checked for the specific platform and region before buying or reinstalling.
Ubisoft also warns that downloadable content purchased through Ubisoft.com or Ubisoft Connect is compatible only with base games purchased on those platforms. A purchase on one storefront should not be assumed to unlock a base game bought elsewhere. This compatibility rule is separate from server operation: buying an edition does not guarantee continued multiplayer, restore a retired service or transfer DLC between storefronts.
| Purchase or access question | What is established |
|---|---|
| Does Gold Edition preserve online services? | No. Edition ownership does not create a server guarantee. |
| Does buying DLC keep multiplayer running? | No. Multiplayer availability is controlled by the online service. |
| Will DLC move between storefronts? | Not generally; Ubisoft says DLC bought through Ubisoft.com or Ubisoft Connect works only with base games bought on those platforms. |
| Can a retired service remove offline campaign access? | Ubisoft’s general policy says offline features remain available, subject to platform authentication and downloaded-content requirements. |
Three realistic scenarios for Trials Rising
Scenario 1: Maintenance continues after restructuring
Ubisoft could keep the existing service running with limited or transferred staff. In this case, no new tracks or bikes would appear—the content pipeline already ended—but seasonal functions, leaderboards and sharing could continue as long as the infrastructure remains funded.

- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Scenario 2: Support becomes minimal
A successor team might operate servers without producing patches or actively managing community issues. Players could retain multiplayer and sharing while receiving fewer fixes and little communication. This outcome is possible, but no announcement confirms it for Trials Rising.
Scenario 3: Ubisoft announces decommissioning
Ubisoft could publish a game-specific retirement notice with a date and affected platforms. Online multiplayer, news, statistics, events and server-hosted sharing would then be expected to end under the legacy-service policy, while offline features should remain available with the qualifications described above.
What players should do now
- Check official notices. Look for a Trials Rising-specific announcement from Ubisoft rather than treating RedLynx restructuring reports as a shutdown notice.
- Confirm your platform entitlement. Verify that the base game and each add-on appear in the account and storefront where they were purchased.
- Launch while connected. Starting the installed game online can complete account checks and download owned content before any future service change.
- Keep local installations intact. Do not assume a later re-download will be possible if a storefront listing or authentication process changes.
- Back up what the platform permits. Preserve saved data and local files using the platform’s supported backup tools; this cannot preserve server-hosted rankings or sharing.
- Separate offline and online expectations. Enjoy campaign content as a local feature, but treat leaderboards, events and user-created-track exchange as dependent on continued server operation.
How to read future announcements
A reliable notice should identify the game, the affected platforms, the date, and the services being removed. Wording such as “new development has ended” addresses content production; “online services will be decommissioned” addresses multiplayer and server functions. Those are different announcements and should not be conflated.
Until Ubisoft provides game-specific wording, the defensible position is that Trials Rising remains an available game with no established shutdown date, but its long-term online availability is not guaranteed. The end of new content is documented history; the future of servers depends on a separate publisher decision.
