There is no universal rule that every missed Final Fantasy XIV event reward remains obtainable. When a limited-time event ends, its seasonal quests may close immediately. Some rewards return in a later run, some collaborations are scheduled to reappear at irregular intervals, some previously completed quests can be replayed, and some seasonal items may be sold through the official Online Store. Those possibilities are event- and item-specific, so the only reliable answer comes from the current official notice for the event and the current listing for the exact reward.
The basic rule: the event deadline matters
Final Fantasy XIV seasonal content is published with a start and end time. Unless the event’s own announcement provides another route, treat the announced end as the deadline for completing its quests and earning their rewards. The official Make It Rain Campaign 2026 page states plainly: “Please note that seasonal quests cannot be completed after the event has concluded.” That is a direct warning that a quest can become unavailable when the campaign closes, rather than remaining in the game permanently.
This does not mean every reward disappears forever. It means that quest access, reward availability and future sales are separate questions. A later event run might add selected older items, a collaboration might return, or the exact reward might appear in the official optional-item catalog. None of those possibilities creates a standing guarantee for every event.
Four ways a missed reward might become available
The original seasonal quest closes
The most immediate outcome is that the quest can no longer be accepted or completed once the campaign period ends. If you have not finished the required steps by the published cutoff, you may lose the normal quest route for that run. The Make It Rain 2026 notice is the clearest official example of this rule.

Do not confuse an event’s visual presence in an area, an NPC remaining in the world, or an item appearing in a collection interface with an open quest. The announcement’s completion deadline controls whether the seasonal quest itself is still valid.
A later run includes selected older items
Some events return with an attendant who sells or distributes items from earlier iterations. Make It Rain 2026 says that certain items available in previous campaigns can be obtained from the campaign attendant. The wording is deliberately limited: it identifies “certain items,” not the complete historical reward list.
When an event reruns, check the current attendant inventory rather than assuming that every mount, minion, outfit, emote, furnishing or other reward has been restored. A rerun can preserve the event’s theme while changing which older items are available.

Collaborations sometimes come back, but their schedules can be unusual. The 2026 Fall Guys collaboration notice says that, after that run ended, the collaboration would be held as a special event at irregular intervals. This establishes a possible return for that collaboration, not a timetable for all Final Fantasy XIV events.
“Irregular intervals” should be read literally. It does not promise an annual date or a predictable rotation. You must wait for a new official announcement before treating a return as confirmed.

The exact item is sold through the Online Store
Some seasonal event items are offered as optional items on Mog Station, the official Final Fantasy XIV Online Store. An official optional-items announcement lists seasonal event items, and the service guide explains that optional items, including seasonal event items, are available through the Online Store.
A store listing applies to the named item in that listing. It does not prove that every reward from the same event, or every seasonal reward in the game, is sold. Catalog entries can change, so search for the exact item name and verify the current listing before relying on this route.

What the official examples show
Make It Rain Campaign 2026
The 2026 Make It Rain Campaign ran from May 29 through June 24, 2026, in Pacific Daylight Time. Its announcement provides two important pieces of information: seasonal quests cannot be completed after the campaign concludes, and certain items from previous iterations can be obtained from the campaign attendant.
Those statements describe two different time windows. The quest deadline applies to the 2026 campaign’s seasonal storyline. The attendant reference describes a possible way to obtain selected older items during the campaign. It does not say that every 2026 quest reward, or every item from earlier years, is permanently preserved.
Final Fantasy XV collaboration
The 2026 FFXV collaboration notice describes a run that is identical to an earlier version. It says that players who already completed the event can replay its quests through the seasonal event replay feature. The notice gives an end time of October 13, 2026, at 7:59 a.m. PDT for that run.

This is evidence that replay can be enabled for a particular collaboration and for players who meet the notice’s condition. It is not evidence that every seasonal quest has a replay button, nor that a player who never completed the original event can automatically use the same feature. Read the eligibility language in the event’s own announcement.
Fall Guys collaboration
The 2026 Fall Guys notice says the collaboration is identical to earlier versions and that players who completed its quest can resume playing the content. It also says the collaboration will return as a special event at irregular intervals after the current run.
That combination matters: a returning collaboration may preserve content for previous participants while also offering a future opportunity to play it again. The notice still does not establish when the next special run will occur or whether every associated reward will be present each time.
Seasonal items in the official catalog
Square Enix’s optional-items announcements include examples of seasonal event items made available through Mog Station. The Online Store service guide confirms that seasonal event items can be part of the optional-item catalog. The evidence supports checking the catalog for an exact reward; it does not support assuming permanent availability, a fixed price, or a complete event bundle without a current listing.
How to check one missed reward
Use the reward’s exact name and the event’s exact title. “The summer event outfit” is too vague for a dependable search because an event may have multiple currencies, quest rewards and attendant items.

- Identify the event and reward. Record the official event name, the item’s full in-game name and whether you are looking for a quest reward, an attendant item, a currency exchange or an optional cosmetic.
- Read the current official event notice. Look for the published start and end time, a sentence about quests becoming unavailable, a rerun announcement, replay instructions and the location or inventory of any event attendant.
- Check the event while it is running. If the event has returned, inspect the attendant’s actual inventory and the quest journal. Confirm that the specific reward is listed; do not infer its presence from a general statement that “previous items” are available.
- Check replay eligibility. Some notices distinguish between players who completed the original content and players approaching it for the first time. Follow the event’s instructions for the seasonal event replay feature, if one is mentioned.
- Search the official Online Store. Search Mog Station for the exact reward name. A current product page is evidence for that item at that moment; an absent listing is not a promise that it will never return, but it means the store route is not currently confirmed.
- Verify your region and date. Confirm that the announcement applies to your data center or service region and that the deadline has not passed. The published FFXV cutoff, for example, is stated in PDT and should not be converted casually into a different local deadline.
Compare the possible recovery routes

Why “the event came back” is not enough
A rerun can differ from the original in several ways. It may repeat the quests but omit older cosmetics, add an attendant with a narrow selection, or enable replay only for players who completed the first run. A collaboration can also be announced as returning without a fixed calendar date.
For that reason, separate these questions whenever you investigate a reward:
- Is the seasonal quest currently completable?
- Is a rerun officially announced, and what are its exact dates?
- Does the notice say previous participants can resume or replay?
- Is the reward in the current attendant inventory?
- Is the exact item listed in the Online Store today?
A “yes” to one question does not answer the others. For example, a collaboration’s return can confirm that its content is playable again without confirming that a particular mount is in the reward pool.

Event times are part of the reward rules. The Make It Rain dates are stated for PDT, and the FFXV notice ends at 7:59 a.m. PDT on October 13, 2026. Players in other regions should convert the time carefully and allow for maintenance or server-side transition rather than waiting until the final minutes.

Practical examples
You missed a Make It Rain quest
After June 24, 2026, the 2026 seasonal quest is not a safe route because the campaign notice says seasonal quests cannot be completed after the event concludes. If the campaign returns, inspect the new attendant inventory for the exact item. The presence of some older items does not establish that the missed quest reward is included.
You completed the original FFXV collaboration
During the 2026 run, follow the notice’s instructions for the seasonal event replay feature. Because the announcement specifically addresses players who completed the event before, eligibility is tied to that history. Do not generalize the replay option to unrelated seasonal events.
You are waiting for Fall Guys items
The collaboration notice indicates that special-event returns will occur at irregular intervals. That gives you a reason to monitor official announcements, but not a date to plan around. When a new run is announced, check its quest and reward details rather than relying on the earlier notice.
You want a seasonal cosmetic now
Search the official Online Store for the item’s exact name. If it is listed, the listing is the current evidence that this purchase route exists. If it is not listed, check the event’s rerun and attendant information; do not assume that every seasonal cosmetic is either permanently sold or permanently unobtainable.
What you can safely conclude
Final Fantasy XIV uses event-specific availability rather than one promise covering all seasonal rewards. The strongest general rule is the quest deadline: once an event concludes, its seasonal quests may no longer be completable. The remaining possibilities—selected items in a later attendant inventory, an irregular collaboration return, an event-specific replay feature or an Online Store listing—must be demonstrated for the particular event and reward.
Check the official event notice first, then the current attendant inventory or replay instructions, and finally the exact Online Store listing. That process prevents the two most common mistakes: treating one event’s behavior as a game-wide guarantee and assuming that a rerun restores every reward.
