To solve the Veytharion Temple laser puzzle in Black Ops 7 Zombies, align the Nexus Forge, retrieve and burn the Woven Sash, sacrifice a misted zombie in the Titan Trap, then use the raised Main Chamber dial to focus the beam on the left barrier wall. After defeating the Shadow Souls, charge a purple orb beneath Veytharion’s head, make it rain again, and hit the center of the forehead with fresh Astral Flame. Lightning striking Veytharion confirms the cleanse.
What you need before starting
This sequence is part of the Rex Infernus quest and depends on earlier progress. Have the Nexus Forge repaired, Pack-a-Punched Warden’s Blight with charged shots available, and a Void Claw for pulling purple orbs. You must also have opened the blue well by completing the earlier stone-block puzzle. The well triggers the rain needed for both the Woven Sash and the final forehead strike.
- Required: repaired Nexus Forge, charged Warden’s Blight, Void Claw, and access to the blue well.
- Helpful, not required: Death Perception can help locate the hard-to-see sash.
How to complete the puzzle
1. Aim the Nexus Forge at Veytharion
Turn the inner, middle, and outer cranks on the Nexus Forge pillars until they face Veytharion’s Sanctuary. The confirmation is a blue beam entering Veytharion’s mouth. If the beam does not appear, use the lever under Pack-a-Punch to reverse the crank direction, then realign the pillars. Interact with the blue well in Veytharion’s Sanctuary and wait for rain. The sash is collected while dropping past an out-of-bounds ledge; hold the interact button during the drop. Check these locations:

The sash does not appear as an ordinary item sitting on a platform. If you cannot find it, make sure it is raining and hold interact as you drop past each possible ledge.
3. Burn the sash and complete the Titan Trap sacrifice
Carry the sash to the central brazier in Veytharion’s Main Chamber. Pull a purple orb into the Nexus Forge and Pack-a-Punch area without touching the orb, then turn the Forge cranks to create Astral Flame. Use the flame on the brazier to burn the offering.

Next, escort the resulting misted zombie to Veytharion’s Passage. Activate the Titan Trap while the zombie is between the Titan’s fists. A voice line after the crush is the reported confirmation. If you hear nothing, use another misted zombie at the matching trap.

4. Open the stone plate and raise the dial
Interact with the stone plate in front of the brazier, then jump on it repeatedly until it opens. The guide estimates about 30 jumps. Shoot the revealed dial with a charged Warden’s Blight shot to raise it. Wait until the disc is floating and its beam is visible before feeding it zombie souls.

5. Aim the beam at the left barrier wall
Shoot the dial’s inner ring with Warden’s Blight to move the beam in small increments. Point it at the wall behind the zombie barrier to the left of the brazier. The inner ring is the better control for fine adjustments; the outer ring moves the beam farther per shot and is easier to overshoot.
Kill zombies near the raised dial to feed souls into the beam. When the beam is correctly aligned and has been fed souls, the left wall breaks and reveals a statue. If the wall does not crack, check that the beam is on the left barrier wall and adjust the inner ring before spending more souls.

6. Defeat the Shadow Souls
Shoot the exposed statue to start the encounter. Defeat the four Shadow Souls, then shoot the same statue again. An Abomination appears, but the dedicated walkthrough says it does not need to be killed for this step.
7. Charge the orb and cleanse Veytharion
Use the Void Claw to pull a purple orb into Veytharion’s Passage, just before the stairs and directly beneath Veytharion’s head. Charge it with Warden’s Blight until Veytharion’s mouths glow purple. If the mouths remain dark, reposition the orb directly under the head rather than leaving it too far away or high on the stairs, then charge it again.

Return to the Sanctuary well and trigger rain once more. Draw fresh Astral Flame from the Forge and shoot the middle of Veytharion’s forehead. Lightning striking Veytharion is the completion cue. If the temple does not cleanse, check that rain is active and aim for the center of the forehead.
