The GEEKOM IT13 Max pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H with an unusually broad set of wired connections, including two USB4 ports, two HDMI ports and dual 2.5GbE. It is a capable Windows mini PC for productivity and CPU-heavy work, but it is not a discrete-graphics workstation: integrated Intel Arc, configuration-dependent memory, and fan noise under heavy load are important limits.
What the IT13 Max is—and who it suits
The IT13 Max is a compact Windows 11 mini PC built around Intel’s Core Ultra 9 185H and integrated Intel Arc graphics. PCWorld describes it as a powerful mini workstation, while noting that the processor is not the current generation. TechRadar likewise reports strong CPU results, but flags the limits of integrated graphics and the 24 GB model’s soldered memory. PCWorld’s review and TechRadar’s review support a productivity-focused verdict, not a claim that it replaces a GPU-equipped tower.
- Good fit: office work, multitasking, CPU-intensive applications, and desks that benefit from many wired ports or several displays.
- Less suitable: demanding games, GPU-bound creative workloads, or buyers who need a newer processor generation and upgradeable memory in every configuration.
Which memory and storage configuration should you choose?
The listed configurations differ in more than capacity. GEEKOM’s UK product page lists a 16 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM version with a 1 TB SSD and a 24 GB onboard LPDDR5 version with a 500 GB SSD. Verify the exact regional SKU with the seller: these are specifications on the UK listing, not a guarantee that every retailer or market offers the same combination. GEEKOM’s UK IT13 product page lists the configurations and storage expansion details.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Listed configuration | Memory | Included storage | Upgrade implications |
|---|---|---|---|
| Option 1 | 16 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM; manufacturer lists upgradeability up to 96 GB | 1 TB | Memory uses a SO-DIMM slot; check the specific unit and seller listing before purchase. |
| Option 2 | 24 GB LPDDR5, onboard | 500 GB | Memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded as a SO-DIMM module. |
The UK manufacturer listing specifies one M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 SSD slot supporting up to 4 TB and one M.2 2242 SATA III slot supporting up to 2 TB. Those are manufacturer-listed limits for that page; confirm compatibility and available slots on the exact SKU you are buying. The included 500 GB drive on the 24 GB version may be a constraint if your applications or media library consume substantial space.

What ports and monitor support does it offer?
Connectivity is the IT13 Max’s clearest differentiator. The reviewed layout includes four front USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack. At the rear are two USB4 Type-C ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, one USB 2.0 Type-A, two 2.5GbE Ethernet jacks and the DC input. It also has a full-size SD reader and a Kensington lock slot. The USB4 ports support DisplayPort Alt Mode; Tom’s Hardware notes that one also supports power input. See the layouts reported by TechRadar and Tom’s Hardware.
CNX Software reports support for up to four independent displays through the two HDMI and two USB4 connections and says it tested a four-display setup on its review unit. That is practical evidence for the tested configuration, not a guarantee for every monitor, resolution, cable or operating mode. CNX also tested the USB ports with an external NVMe enclosure and reported that each worked as expected. CNX Software’s Windows review describes those tests.

| Test | CNX Software result |
|---|---|
| PCMark 10 | 7,040 |
| 3DMark Fire Strike | 7,906 |
| PassMark PerformanceTest 11 | 6,933.3 |
| Cinebench R23 multicore / single-core | 14,895 / 1,792 |
| Included SSD sequential read / write | 5,445.67 / 3,280.20 MB/s |
TechRadar reported a separate set of results: Geekbench CPU multi 13,150 and single 2,402; PCMark overall 7,526; Cinebench R23 multi 14,934 and single 1,666; and CrystalDiskMark read/write of 5,466.68/3,289.07 MB/s. The benchmark versions and methods may differ, so those numbers should not be treated as a direct comparison with CNX Software’s scores.
Taken together, the reviews indicate a fast general-purpose CPU in a small enclosure. They do not establish how it will perform in every sustained workload, nor do the CPU results make it a gaming or GPU-rendering specialist. TechRadar notes high fan noise under heavier workloads and says the soldered 24 GB memory can constrain demanding graphics work.

Is the IT13 Max good for gaming or creative work?
It can handle some creative and graphics tasks, but integrated Intel Arc is not a dedicated graphics card. The 3DMark Fire Strike score reported by CNX Software is a reviewer-run result under its stated conditions; it does not establish performance in a particular game, at a particular resolution or quality setting. For demanding gaming, 3D rendering, or GPU-accelerated workflows, choose a system with a discrete GPU or verify results for the exact applications you use.
For light creative work and productivity, the Core Ultra 9 185H and fast SSD are more compelling. If that work is memory-intensive, the 24 GB onboard option deserves particular caution because its memory cannot be replaced with larger SO-DIMMs. The 16 GB SO-DIMM version is the more flexible starting point according to GEEKOM’s UK listing, although the actual upgrade ceiling and configuration should be checked against the specific system.

How to decide whether it fits your setup
Compare the IT13 Max with a small desktop or another mini PC against the work you actually do, rather than relying on one benchmark score. Give priority to:
Quick Recap
- CPU workload and generation: decide whether the 185H’s reviewed productivity performance matters more than having a newer processor.
- Graphics demand: identify whether your games or creative applications depend on a discrete GPU.
- Memory and storage: match the precise regional SKU to your capacity needs and preference for upgradeable SO-DIMM memory.
- Connectivity: confirm whether you will use dual 2.5GbE, USB4, SD, or a four-display arrangement.
- Noise tolerance: consider fan sound during the sustained workloads you expect, not only light desktop use.
- Purchase terms: compare current local price, warranty and seller support; the cited review prices are dated, not live offers.
