The Olight ArkTac Ultra combines five sources in one flat-body handheld light: Pure Flood, Spotlight, UV, red light and a green laser. Olight says the laser is exclusive to the Ultra in its newly announced ArkTac series. Its September 19, 2026 announcement also gives series-wide maximums of 1,800 lumens and 215 meters, but does not provide enough model-specific specifications or test data to verify real-world performance or establish current availability.
What are the ArkTac Ultra’s five light sources?
Olight describes the ArkTac series as a flat-body, multi-source design for handheld tactical lighting. In the Ultra, the five sources are:
- Pure Flood: a broad-beam light source.
- Spotlight: a focused beam.
- UV: ultraviolet light.
- Red light: a separate visible-light source.
- Green laser: the feature that distinguishes the Ultra from the ArkTac model in Olight’s announcement.
These descriptions come from Olight’s company announcement, not an independent product test. The release does not explain the intended use, output, or operating limits of each source in detail. Olight’s September 19, 2026 announcement

How are the controls supposed to work?
Olight says the two-stage tail switch provides direct access to Turbo Spotlight and Pure Flood without cycling through modes. A separate CommandPoint shortcut activates Strobe by default and can be customized for other frequently used functions. The announcement does not specify the exact switch press or hold behavior, or which alternate functions are available for CommandPoint.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What do the output and material claims establish?
Olight lists maximum series figures of 1,800 lumens and 215 meters. Those are manufacturer-stated maximums for the ArkTac series; the announcement does not assign them to a particular model or mode, provide a runtime table, or report independent testing. They should not be read as confirmed ArkTac Ultra performance in every operating mode.
Olight also says the Ultra uses OAL², its proprietary next-generation aluminum alloy. Compared with first-generation OAL, the company claims 7.3% greater hardness and 11.5% higher yield strength. The release gives no test method or conditions for either comparison, so the figures are company claims rather than independently verified material measurements.

How does the Ultra compare with the ArkTac?
The announcement establishes one clear functional difference: the Ultra adds a green laser, while Olight says both models have UV and red light. It describes the series controls and maximum output figures collectively, without a model-by-model breakdown. A complete comparison of performance, size, weight, battery, runtime, durability or value is therefore not possible from the announcement alone.

When will the ArkTac Ultra be available, and what will it cost?
In its September 19, 2026 announcement, Olight said the ArkTac series was expected later in 2026, with prices starting at $119.99. It also said price and availability could vary by market. That announcement-era expectation does not establish a current sale date, stock status, or retailer listing. Check a current manufacturer or retailer page for confirmed availability and the price in your market.

Which specifications are still unconfirmed?
The announcement does not state the Ultra’s exact dimensions or weight, battery chemistry or capacity, charging method, water-resistance rating, mode-specific runtimes, or laser classification. It also does not publish test methods for the alloy comparisons. Those details matter when assessing fit, operating time, environmental protection and laser safety, so avoid assuming specifications based on other Ark models.
