Because mode details can change during development, treat the wiki’s current mode list as a description of the documented offering rather than a promise that every mode has identical rules or progression. The announcement for version 1.0 also names a new custom Joker mode, but that mode belongs to the developer’s announced release scope and should not be confused with a feature confirmed as already shipped on October 13, 2026.
Release status and the 1.0 timeline
9 Kings is in Early Access according to Hooded Horse’s game page at the October 13, 2026 research date. The publisher page gives May 23, 2025 as the Early Access date, while the official wiki gives May 24, 2025 for Steam Early Access. A September 16 developer announcement set version 1.0 for November 12, 2026.
