The Westinghouse WSF6606XA is a discontinued, freestanding stainless-steel dishwasher with 15 place settings and six wash programs. Westinghouse publishes figures of 13.5 litres of water per cycle, 294 kWh of energy per year and 45 dBA, but those are specifications—not proof of how well a particular unit cleans or dries. CHOICE’s public listing does not reveal its test scores, so a used or remaining-stock purchase calls for careful checks of condition, fit and local repair support.
What the WSF6606XA offers
Westinghouse’s fact sheet describes the WSF6606XA as a family-size, freestanding stainless-steel dishwasher. It lists 15 place settings, six wash programs, an active-dry system, two spray arms, a top shower, a three-stage filter, load sensing, a child lock and water-safety/anti-flood protection. These are manufacturer-published features; they do not establish real-world cleaning or drying performance.
The retailer listing names the six programs as Fast 30 min, Heavy, Time Save 50 minutes, Eco 50°C, Pre-wash and Delicate. It also lists a half-load option and a delay start adjustable from one to 24 hours. Check these controls and their operation on the exact appliance, and consult its manual if a particular option matters to you.

CHOICE identifies Eco 50°C as the program used for its listed program specification. Resource labels and annual-use figures are not a guarantee of an individual household’s consumption: results depend on use, load and operating conditions. Noise in a particular kitchen can also depend on installation and surroundings.

Westinghouse’s fact sheet says, “For complete installation instructions, refer to the manual provided with product.” Measure the opening and check the manual before buying; allow for the worktop configuration, clearance and access for hoses and electrical connection.
What independent evidence says—and does not say
CHOICE lists the WSF6606XA as discontinued. Its public listing includes specifications and identifies Eco 50°C as the tested program, but the expert rating and scores for washing, drying, energy, water, noise, program time, reliability and satisfaction are member-only. The publicly accessible information therefore does not establish how effectively this model cleans or dries.

CHOICE displays a historical price of AUD $1,099, but the date is not specified; it is not a current quote. Discontinued status also does not prove that every retailer has sold out, so check stock directly rather than assuming new units remain available.

How to interpret owner ratings
At the time observed on 7 October 2026, ProductReview showed 2.4 out of 5 from 17 reviews on its exact-model page. Visible comments were mixed: some owners liked the capacity and loading space; others mentioned condensation or drying concerns, upper-rack placement or plate fit, faults or leaks, and difficulty obtaining repairs or parts. These are self-selected accounts, not a measure of defect frequency.

Appliances Online displayed a 4.3 customer average in its listing snapshot. It represents a different review population from ProductReview’s 17 reviews, so the two scores are not directly comparable and neither substitutes for accessible independent performance results. Both ratings can change over time.
Warranty, discontinued status and support
Westinghouse’s fact sheet states a two-year domestic warranty. Manufacturer warranty material says coverage applies to appliances purchased and used in Australia or New Zealand in normal domestic applications and is subject to the conditions in the accompanying warranty card. Confirm the terms that apply to the specific appliance, purchase date and jurisdiction, particularly for remaining stock or a second-hand unit.

Because CHOICE marks the model discontinued, ask the seller or a local service provider about repair access and parts availability before paying. Current parts inventory and service prices have not been established here; do not assume that compatible parts for a similar suffix fit this model.
Checks to make before buying one
- Confirm the model suffix. Read the rating plate and verify it says WSF6606XA. Do not treat specifications for WSF6606X, WSF6606XB or WSF6606KXA as interchangeable.
- Inspect the actual machine. Check the door, racks, seals, spray arms, filter and visible interior for damage, residue, leaks or signs of poor maintenance. If possible, ask to see it run and confirm the controls respond.
- Test capacity against your dishes. Compare the rack arrangement with your own plates, pans and cutlery. The 15-place figure is a published capacity rating, not a guarantee that every household’s cookware will fit conveniently.
- Measure the installation space. Check height, width and depth, worktop removal requirements, door clearance and hose/electrical access. Use the exact appliance and its installation manual to confirm fit.
- Establish seller support and coverage. Ask what warranty, proof of purchase and return options apply, and confirm local repair and parts access for the XA suffix.
- Compare on like-for-like evidence. When weighing alternatives, compare rack layout and plate clearance, public independent wash/dry results, claimed resource use on a comparable basis, noise, local warranty and service, installation dimensions, and current price and condition.
Is the Westinghouse WSF6606XA worth buying?
It may suit a buyer who needs a freestanding 15-place machine, has verified that the exact appliance fits and works, and can confirm support for a discontinued model. The published specifications describe capacity and claimed resource use, but the public evidence does not settle cleaning, drying or reliability performance. Make the decision on the condition and support of the individual unit, not on specifications or online ratings alone.
