In the regular Web Mother encounter on Rex Infernus in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, the listed elemental weaknesses are Shadow Rift and Light Mend. Aim for the head, the documented weak point. Shadow Rift is a useful pick if you want its interaction with the Big Game Major Augment; the available guides do not establish that either weakness deals more damage overall.
Which elemental weaknesses work against the regular Web Mother?
Two gameplay guides list Light Mend and Shadow Rift as weaknesses for the regular Web Mother on Rex Infernus. A Web Mother-specific guide highlights Shadow Rift, but that does not make it the only listed option. - Equip Shadow Rift or Light Mend for the regular encounter.
- Focus your shots on the Web Mother’s head, which the enemy reference lists as its weak point.
- If you use Shadow Rift and want its elite interaction, consider equipping the Big Game Major Augment. The Web Mother-specific guide says Big Game lets Shadow Rift’s main effect activate against elite enemies; it does not say the augment is required to use Shadow Rift or obtain all bonus damage.
- Keep moving and pay attention to nearby zombies while fighting. The Web Mother can lunge, use a sonic screech that temporarily blinds and deafens players, and cocoon zombies into environmental hazards.
When does the Web Mother appear?
One bestiary entry reports that the regular Rex Infernus encounter begins on round 16 and returns every three rounds. Treat this as a reported spawn pattern, not an official guarantee; the entry does not establish that it remains unchanged across patches.

A community report suggests that the Web Mother appearing as an exfil high-value target may be weak only to Light Mend. The report is explicitly uncertain, so this variant difference is not confirmed. Do not assume that the claim applies to the regular Rex Infernus encounter, for which guides list both Light Mend and Shadow Rift.
