When Warzone says it is unable to access online services, first check Activision’s service status and your gaming platform’s network status. If both are operating normally, verify you are signed in, then test your home connection before changing router settings. The message can have several causes; it does not by itself identify one specific fault.
1. Check Warzone and platform service status

Open Activision’s Online Services page, select Call of Duty: Warzone, and check the service indicator and any alerts.

Check the network status for your platform as well. Activision’s page includes status paths for PlayStation Network, Xbox, Battle.net, Steam, Epic Games, and other listed platforms.

A platform outage or alert can block a connection even if your home internet is working. If either service is affected, wait for it to be restored and check the relevant status page again; changing router settings will not fix an outage. The status pages are live, so check them when the error occurs rather than relying on an earlier status report.

2. Confirm your account is signed in
If service indicators look normal, confirm that your console or PC is signed in to its system account. If you cannot sign in or the platform reports a network problem, use the platform’s official internet-connection guidance linked from Activision’s Warzone connection guide. Also check for platform maintenance notices or network alerts before adjusting your router.
3. Try basic home-network checks

Restart your router, then try connecting to Warzone again.

Pause or reduce other bandwidth-heavy activity on your network while testing.

Check your internet connection and try a wired connection if practical. Activision recommends wired Ethernet for online gameplay because Wi-Fi reliability and available bandwidth can vary.

To test Ethernet, connect your gaming device to the router with a cable and retry the game. This can help identify a Wi-Fi reliability problem, but it cannot restore an Activision or platform outage or resolve an account sign-in issue.
4. Consider router settings only after the simpler checks
Activision’s connection guide sequences router configuration tests. Check the game after each change, and use current instructions for your router and platform. If you are unfamiliar with these settings, ask your network administrator or ISP for help.

If port forwarding is enabled, disable it and try UPnP.

If UPnP does not help, turn it off and try port forwarding with a static IP assigned to the console.

For consoles only, the guide’s final test is DMZ using that static IP. Remove the console’s static IP from DMZ after testing; do not leave the device there.
5. When to contact your ISP or network administrator
If the service pages, account sign-in, local connection checks, and applicable router tests do not resolve the problem, contact your ISP. On a school, corporate, or other shared network, ask its network administrator to check whether the network permits the game’s connection.
Activision’s Call of Duty: Warzone Support index also lists connection guidance and known-issue information; consult it for current support notices.
