Warhammer+ is the paid membership; Warhammer TV is the video service included with it. The Warhammer TV app is a way to watch the shows and animations, not a separate replacement for the complete Warhammer+ bundle. A Warhammer+ subscription also provides premium access to selected Warhammer apps, the Warhammer Vault and subscriber rewards. You can watch through supported TV apps, WarhammerTV.com, Amazon Fire and Roku, subject to local availability. The current offer, price and rewards depend on your country, so confirm the live details before subscribing.
Warhammer TV and Warhammer+ at a glance
The names are easy to confuse because they describe related parts of one service. Warhammer+ is the account-level membership that unlocks several benefits. Warhammer TV is the branded library of official Warhammer programming delivered through apps and the web.

| Question | Warhammer TV | Warhammer+ |
|---|---|---|
| What is it? | A catalog and viewing service for official shows and animations. | A paid membership that includes Warhammer TV plus additional benefits. |
| Main content | Animations, battle reports, painting instruction and lore programming. | Warhammer TV, premium Warhammer apps, Warhammer Vault material and subscriber rewards. |
| How you use it | Through the Warhammer TV apps, WarhammerTV.com and supported streaming platforms. | By signing in with the account attached to your active membership. |
| Is it a separate subscription? | No separate Warhammer TV-only subscription is identified in the current official offer. | Yes. It is the paid plan that grants the broader bundle. |
| Price | Access is included with Warhammer+ rather than priced as a standalone TV tier. | Local monthly and annual prices are displayed by the official site; amounts vary by market. |
| Extra value | Primarily the video catalog and its viewing features. | Apps, Vault reading, an annual exclusive miniature and other rewards in addition to video. |
The official Warhammer+ page currently advertises more than 600 episodes across 20 shows. That is Games Workshop’s catalog description, not an independent audit, and the total can change as programs are added or removed.
What a Warhammer+ membership actually covers
Warhammer TV shows and animations
The membership’s most visible benefit is full access to Warhammer TV. The programming is broader than a single animation channel: official descriptions include animated series, battle reports, painting masterclasses and lore-focused shows. A viewer who subscribes mainly for films and series still receives the hobby and tabletop formats in the same service.

Premium Warhammer apps
Warhammer+ also advertises premium access to Warhammer apps. The exact app lineup and feature set can vary by country and can change over time, so check the benefits shown after selecting your market. Membership access does not mean every Warhammer application is identical on every device; each app can have its own operating-system requirements and store availability.
Warhammer Vault
The Vault is the membership’s reading and reference component. It provides digital access to selected Warhammer material alongside the video catalog. If you only want to stream a show, the Vault may not affect your decision; if you use lore, rules history or background material regularly, it is one of the benefits that distinguishes the membership from a video-only service.
Subscriber rewards and the annual miniature
Warhammer’s product description identifies a free exclusive miniature every year for eligible members. Reward rules, claim windows and regional eligibility are offer terms rather than permanent guarantees. The current official page says Year 6 rewards are available to claim from January 2027, so read the live instructions for your account instead of assuming that every subscription period or country follows the same timetable.

What the Warhammer TV app does
It is a viewing route, not the whole membership
The Warhammer TV app is the front end for watching the TV catalog. Installing it does not by itself create a paid Warhammer+ membership or unlock the other benefits. You normally sign in with the account that holds the active subscription; the app then checks that entitlement before playing members-only content.
There may not be a separate “Warhammer+ app” in the way the question suggests
People often call the service a “Warhammer+ app,” but the official materials distinguish the membership from the TV application. The Apple App Store listing describes the Warhammer TV app and says full Warhammer TV access is included with Warhammer+. In practical terms, look for the Warhammer TV app when your goal is to watch programs, and manage the membership through the official Warhammer+ account and checkout pages.
Web and connected-TV access
The official membership page lists WarhammerTV.com, the Warhammer TV apps in the Apple and Google stores, Amazon Fire and Roku as access routes. Availability can differ by country, device generation and store region. A device appearing on a general list does not guarantee that the app is downloadable in your location, so verify the store listing and the current regional page before buying hardware for this purpose.
How to start watching Warhammer TV with Warhammer+
- Open the official regional page. Start at warhammerplus.com or the Warhammer site serving your country. Do not rely on a screenshot or an old launch article for current prices or benefits.
- Check the offer shown for your market. Review the currency, billing interval, trial or promotional language if displayed, included rewards and any country restrictions before entering payment details.
- Create or sign in to your Warhammer account. Use the account you intend to keep for the subscription. Switching accounts later can make an apparently valid membership look unavailable in the TV app.
- Select monthly or annual billing. The official offer promotes annual billing as 12 months for the price of nine. Confirm the actual local amount and renewal terms at checkout; the promotion does not establish one universal price in every country.
- Install the viewing app or open the website. Use the Warhammer TV listing in your Apple or Google app store, open WarhammerTV.com, or use a supported Amazon Fire or Roku device.
- Sign in with the subscribing account. If the catalog appears locked, sign out and back in with the account used at checkout rather than immediately purchasing again.
- Check the member areas. After video playback works, look for the Vault, premium apps and reward instructions in the membership account. Their availability and claim timing can differ from the TV catalog.
Which devices and platforms are supported?
| Access method | What the official information establishes | What you should verify |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone, iPad or Apple TV app ecosystem | The Warhammer TV app is listed in Apple’s App Store, and the listing links full access to Warhammer+. | Whether the exact app supports your device model, operating-system version and country store. |
| Android and Google app stores | The membership page names Warhammer TV apps in Google stores. | Local listing, Android version requirements and casting or playback limits for your device. |
| WarhammerTV.com | The official page lists the website as a way to watch. | Browser compatibility, account sign-in and any country-specific content restrictions. |
| Amazon Fire | Amazon Fire is listed as a supported viewing route. | Whether the app is offered in your Fire TV store and works on your particular generation. |
| Roku | Roku is listed among the supported platforms. | Channel availability in your region and compatibility with your Roku model. |
Not every feature is necessarily available in every country immediately. The official page specifically cautions that regional availability can differ, so treat the platform list as a starting point rather than a promise that every device and benefit works everywhere.

Price, billing and the annual offer
Why there is no single global price
The official site presents monthly and annual prices in regional currencies. Tax treatment, currency conversion, local storefront rules and promotional terms can change the amount shown to you. Because of that, quoting a figure from another country or from an older article can produce the wrong answer for your account.
What “12 months for the price of nine” means
The annual offer is described as twelve months of membership for the price of nine months. It is a billing comparison, not evidence of a permanent worldwide discount or a guarantee that the same promotion will still be displayed when you subscribe. Read the checkout summary for the renewal date, recurring amount and cancellation terms.
Monthly versus annual decision
- Choose monthly if you want to test the catalog, are unsure how often you will use the Vault or apps, or expect your need to be short-term.
- Choose annual if you expect to watch throughout the year and the local checkout still shows the advertised nine-month equivalent.
- Compare the complete bundle rather than dividing the price only by the number of episodes. The Vault, apps and reward eligibility may matter more to a hobbyist than raw viewing volume.
Is Warhammer TV worth it if you only want the shows?
There is no separate Warhammer TV-only tier identified in the current offer, so a shows-only viewer generally evaluates the full Warhammer+ membership. The decision depends on three practical questions:
- Will you watch enough of the animation, battle-report, painting and lore catalog to justify the local membership price?
- Do your preferred devices and country support the viewing route you plan to use?
- Are the Vault, premium apps or current reward useful to you, or are they benefits you would never use?
The catalog claim of more than 600 episodes across 20 shows indicates breadth, but it does not measure audience size, viewing hours or program quality. No independent audience or satisfaction statistic is supplied with the official offer, so make the choice based on the content and benefits you can personally use.
What you can watch and how the formats differ
Animations
Animated series are the part most people associate with Warhammer TV. They are delivered through the same member access as the rest of the catalog, rather than requiring a separate animation subscription.
Battle reports
Battle reports show games and tactical decisions in a match format. They are useful if you want filmed tabletop play rather than scripted storytelling, but they consume viewing time differently from a conventional series.
Painting instruction
Painting masterclasses explain preparation, color placement and finishing techniques. You can watch them without buying any particular product. The tutorials are educational content, not a requirement to purchase paints or tools.
Rank #3
- Games Workshop - Warhammer 40,000: Introductory Set (10 Edition - 2023)
- A great way to begin your journey into the Warhammer 40,000 hobby
- Includes basic rules for the game, plus dice, a gaming mat, reference sheets, and a range ruler
- 16 push-fit models make up two balanced starter forces - Space Marines and Tyranids, plus hobby supplies to build and paint them
Lore programming
Lore shows provide background and setting-focused material for the different Warhammer universes. Because lore episodes and rules-oriented videos serve different purposes, browse the catalog categories before subscribing if one format is your main reason for joining.
Painting along: what is optional
A Warhammer+ membership does not require a paint set, miniature, brush or other physical product. If you want to follow a painting masterclass hands-on, Warhammer Colour’s Getting Started guide describes paint sets as a convenient selection of paints with a brush and links them to matching tutorial videos. That is a hobby convenience, not an access condition.
The Warhammer Colour “What’s Next” page also places painting masterclasses in the wider Warhammer+ context. Use the colors and tools you already own if they meet the tutorial’s needs; buying supplies should be a separate hobby decision from subscribing to the video service.
Rewards and regional caveats to check before paying
- Country: Confirm the page serving your location. The listed currency and available benefits can differ by market.
- Reward year: Check which miniature or reward year your membership qualifies for and when claims open. The current page lists Year 6 claims from January 2027.
- Feature rollout: The official offer warns that not every feature is available in every country immediately.
- Renewal: Read whether your selected term renews automatically, at what local amount and on which date.
- Device: Verify the app in your own Apple, Google, Fire or Roku store before assuming it will install.
Why older articles can give the wrong answer
Warhammer+ launched in 2021, and early coverage described launch-era prices and an earlier benefit mix. Those figures are historical context, not a current price list. The 2021 Warhammer Community overview should therefore not be used to decide what you will pay today. Use the live regional membership page and the checkout screen for present terms.
Troubleshooting common access problems
The app opens but shows locked episodes
- Confirm that the membership payment completed and that the subscription is active in the account portal.
- Sign out of the TV app completely.
- Sign back in with the exact account used for checkout; a second email address is the most common account mix-up.
- Update the app and operating system, then retry playback.
- If the membership is active but access remains locked, check the regional page and contact official support rather than purchasing a second subscription.
The app cannot be found in the device store
Check that your store country matches the membership region, search for “Warhammer TV” rather than “Warhammer+ app,” and compare your device model with the store’s requirements. Store availability can be regional even when the platform is named on the general membership page.

The website works but a TV device does not
Use WarhammerTV.com as a temporary viewing route while checking the Fire or Roku store listing, device software and account sign-in. A supported platform category does not guarantee support for every old hardware generation.
A reward is not visible
Review the reward year, claim opening date and country eligibility in your membership account. Year 6 claims are currently described as opening in January 2027; earlier or different membership periods may follow different instructions.
The practical answer
If someone asks whether Warhammer TV and Warhammer+ are the same, the accurate answer is no: Warhammer TV is the included viewing service, while Warhammer+ is the paid membership that also adds apps, Vault access and rewards. Install the Warhammer TV app or use the web and supported TV platforms to watch, but use the official regional Warhammer+ page to confirm price, billing, device availability and current reward terms before subscribing.
