Games Workshop’s 13 October 2026 Rumour Engine post shows skulls embedded in broken stones, but it does not reveal whose skulls they are or what the stones belong to. The post names no faction, setting, model, or release, so any identification remains speculation.
What the 13 October Rumour Engine shows
The Warhammer Community post, titled “The Rumour Engine – 13th of October,” describes its image as showing skulls set into broken stones. Games Workshop writes: “Skulls! The very bedrock upon which Warhammer is based. Well, skulls and hammers, but this week’s Rumour Engine is definitely showing us skulls.”
The accompanying question is: “But whose skulls? And what’s that they’re embedded in?” Those are the two unresolved parts of the teaser: the identity of the skulls and the nature of the stonework.

The Rumour Engine page describes the series as a place to “See hints of upcoming Warhammer releases.” That explains the teaser format, but it does not confirm that this image belongs to any particular release. The 13 October post provides no product name, release date, preorder date, price, or availability information.

How to assess guesses about the teaser
Readers can develop theories from the visible details, but the official post does not endorse or rank any interpretation. A useful way to weigh a guess is to ask whether it accounts for both elements—the skulls and the broken-stone setting—rather than relying on the skulls alone. Keep what is visible separate from what a theory infers; resemblance is not confirmation.
Games Workshop invites readers to share their guesses on Facebook and Instagram. Until the company identifies the clue, the faction, setting, and product remain open questions.
