WARDOGS lists a minimum PC tier targeting 1080p Low at 60fps with upscaling, and a recommended tier targeting either 1440p Medium at 70fps or higher natively, or 4K Medium at 60fps or higher with upscaling. Those are developer-published targets, not guaranteed results for every PC.
WARDOGS PC requirements at a glance
The official Steam listing divides the hardware requirements into minimum and recommended tiers. Both specify 16 GB of RAM, broadband internet, and 50 GB of available storage; the CPU, GPU, operating system, and listed performance target differ.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | 64-bit Windows 10 | 64-bit Windows 11 |
| CPU | Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 | Intel Core i7 12700k or AMD Ryzen 7 5700x |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics card | NVIDIA GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 590 | NVIDIA RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT |
| Network | Broadband internet connection | Broadband internet connection |
| Storage | 50 GB available space | 50 GB available space |
| Listed performance target | 1080p Low at 60fps, upscaled | 1440p Medium at 70fps or higher, native; or 4K Medium at 60fps or higher, upscaled |
These specifications are from the official Steam store listing, checked on October 13, 2026. Because WARDOGS is in Early Access, the game and its published requirements may change.

What the minimum and recommended targets mean
Minimum: 1080p Low at 60fps with upscaling
The minimum tier pairs a GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 590 with an i5 8600 or Ryzen 5 3500, 16 GB RAM, and 64-bit Windows 10. Its stated target is 1080p at the Low preset and 60 frames per second, with upscaling enabled. The upscaling condition is part of the target: it should not be presented as a native 1080p, 60fps promise.
#1 Best Overall
Recommended: two higher-resolution options
The recommended tier pairs an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT with an i7 12700k or Ryzen 7 5700x, 16 GB RAM, and 64-bit Windows 11. Steam lists two alternatives: 1440p at Medium and 70fps or higher natively, or 4K at Medium and 60fps or higher with upscaling. The listing does not say that the same configuration will achieve both targets at once.
In this context, native means rendering at the stated output resolution without upscaling. Upscaling uses a lower-resolution rendered image to produce the target output resolution. The store page does not specify an upscaling technology or its settings, so the target cannot be translated into one particular in-game option or visual result.

Can your PC run WARDOGS at 1080p?
Use the minimum tier as a reference point: compare your PC’s processor and graphics card with the listed CPU and GPU choices, and check that it has 16 GB of RAM, 50 GB free storage, a supported 64-bit Windows version, and broadband internet. The listed 1080p goal applies to Low settings with upscaling at 60fps.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Matching a listed part is not proof that your full PC will deliver that result. The Steam listing does not provide measured results for every GPU, a detailed benchmark method, or a guarantee for a particular system. It also does not state expected performance for hardware that is not named. A desktop card and a laptop GPU with a similar name, for example, should not be treated as equivalent based on this table alone.

Check your PC against the requirements
- Find your components. In Windows, open Settings > System > About to check the processor, installed RAM, and Windows edition. Check the graphics card in Task Manager > Performance > GPU, or in Device Manager under Display adapters.
- Compare the CPU and GPU separately. Check each against the corresponding minimum or recommended choices. The listing gives named processors and graphics cards, but no equivalency chart for other models.
- Confirm memory, operating system, and free space. Check that the PC has at least the tier’s stated RAM and operating system, and that the drive where you plan to install the game has 50 GB available.
- Use the target that matches your setup. For the minimum tier, that is 1080p Low at 60fps with upscaling. For the recommended tier, choose between the stated native 1440p target and upscaled 4K target.
- Verify actual performance in your configuration. If you already own the game, test it at the resolution, preset, and upscaling condition you intend to use. Record the game build and settings when comparing results; a figure from different conditions may not be a useful comparison.
What the requirements do not establish
The published table is useful for setting a hardware baseline, but it is not a comprehensive performance chart. It does not report specific frame rates for other hardware, explain benchmark conditions, or establish how much performance varies between matches. Those details matter when estimating results for a PC that differs from the listed configurations.
- Do not infer an exact FPS for an unlisted GPU or CPU. The Steam listing provides no measured performance for arbitrary hardware.
- Do not drop the preset or upscaling qualifier. “1080p at 60fps” alone changes the meaning of the minimum target; it is Low with upscaling.
- Do not treat recommended as a guarantee. It is the developer’s published tier, not a promise that every build with those parts will hit the listed frame rate.
- Do not assume the specifications are permanent. WARDOGS is an Early Access online PvP game, and published requirements may change as the game develops.
WARDOGS release and Early Access status
Steam identifies WARDOGS as an online PvP game developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17. The Steam listing gives September 10, 2026 as its release date and identifies the game as Early Access. Its PC requirements should therefore be read as the current published specifications, rather than a fixed guarantee for every future version.
