WARDOGS Season 2 launched on 15 October 2026 with a progression wipe, but some players were already fielding tanks within hours. BULKHEAD said early data showed Driver progression running about 40–50% faster than other role tracks, a result it attributed to overtuned logistics streaks and an abused exploit. The studio temporarily corrected the backend and said another hotfix was planned.
Why tanks appeared so soon after the Season 2 wipe
Season 2 reset progression for everyone, so the first major vehicle unlock was immediately visible. The T-72B3 is a Driver level-20 unlock requiring 111,500 XP and a $250,000 unlock fee, according to a current Season 2 progression guide. Reaching that gate unusually quickly meant a small number of Drivers could bring tanks into matches while most players were still rebuilding their early-season roles and equipment.
Not every fast unlock proves cheating. Some players reported reaching the milestone through long, legitimate logistics sessions. The day-one tank sightings reflected both unusually generous progression and suspected abuse of the same systems.

What BULKHEAD says caused the XP spike
BULKHEAD’s public explanation is limited but specific: Driver progression was approximately 40–50% faster than the other role tracks in its early Season 2 data. The studio linked the gap to logistics streak tuning and “an abused exploit.” It has not published a per-action XP table, a complete exploit sequence or an official incident report identifying the exact trigger.
#1 Best Overall
Community discussions have described repeatedly depositing supplies near or outside a control zone or spawn, allegedly producing very large Driver XP awards or repeated streak credit. Other players dispute the precise trigger. That account remains anecdotal and should not be treated as a confirmed reproduction or a safe farming method.
What the temporary fix changed
Backend streak correction
BULKHEAD temporarily moved streak spacing back toward the Season 1 behavior. The studio said a further hotfix was planned, but it did not publish the post-correction XP rate. Consequently, there is no authoritative number for how quickly a normal Driver can now reach level 20.
Season 2’s Lonestar experiment
The studio also removed the Season 2 Lonestar cash-and-XP experiment. It had been introduced while addressing the Blue faction’s lower win rate. GamesRadar reported BULKHEAD describing the imbalance this way: “One team had a notoriously lower win rate than the other two teams.” Removing that experiment separates the faction-balance intervention from the logistics-streak correction.

| Factor | Normal early-season progression | Exploit-affected launch state |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | All players began after the Season 2 progression wipe. | The same reset applied, making any acceleration immediately visible. |
| First tank milestone | Driver level 20; 111,500 XP and a $250,000 unlock fee for the T-72B3. | The level gate could be reached far earlier when streak rewards were overtuned or abused. |
| Legitimacy | Long logistics sessions can produce fast advancement without an exploit. | Repeated unintended rewards may violate the game’s rules. |
| Counterplay window | Most teams have time to unlock equipment and learn the new season. | Early tanks could appear before opponents had comparable counters. |
| Rate status | Current post-correction rate has not been published. | Early Season 2 data showed Driver progress about 40–50% ahead of other roles. |
Could exploiters be banned or reset?
Update 0.1.2 established BULKHEAD’s enforcement position. Its fixes made revive validity server-controlled, capped vehicle fly-through rewards, scaled buildable-destruction rewards by construction progress and reduced rewards for depositing pallets into a FOB outside the zone. The studio warned that repeatedly exploiting unintended cash or XP gains could result in permanent bans. It also said prior offenders could have progression and cash reset.

No authoritative public report gives a definitive ban count for the Season 2 incident. The same uncertainty applies to how many accounts were reset, whether every suspect account was actioned and which individual behavior met the enforcement threshold. Players should not assume that a temporary patch means earlier gains are automatically safe.
What players should do now
- Play logistics normally and avoid deliberately repeating actions that appear to generate abnormal streak or XP payouts.
- Do not rely on community posts claiming a particular deposit location or sequence is risk-free; the exact trigger has not been officially confirmed.
- If an action produces an obviously disproportionate reward, stop repeating it and report the behavior through the game’s official support channels.
- Expect progression values and streak timing to change again while the planned hotfix is deployed.
- When judging a day-one tank sighting, distinguish a long legitimate session from evidence of exploit use; the visible result alone does not identify the cause.
How fast can the T-72B3 be unlocked?
The documented requirement is level 20, 111,500 XP and $250,000. Beyond that, BULKHEAD has not published a reliable current time-to-unlock figure. Early-season reports of tanks appearing within hours were enabled by the temporary progression conditions, but they are not a benchmark for the corrected system and do not establish that every player could reproduce the result.

What remains unknown
- The complete exploit sequence and its exact reward calculation.
- The final XP-per-hour rate after all planned hotfixes.
- The number of accounts banned, reset or left untouched.
- Whether every unusually rapid T-72B3 unlock involved abuse rather than legitimate extended play.
The confirmed picture is narrower: a fresh progression wipe exposed a large Driver-speed imbalance, BULKHEAD tied it to logistics streak tuning and an abused exploit, and the developer began correcting the system before publishing a complete technical accounting.
