Yes—Digit reported on 14 October 2026 that Croma was selling the iPhone 17 Pro Max from Rs 1,38,990, compared with Apple’s Rs 1,49,900 Indian launch price. An eligible ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank or HDFC Bank credit-card offer could reduce the checkout price by a further Rs 4,000, taking the potential saving above Rs 14,900. The deal is conditional, retailer-specific and subject to variant, stock, card and promotional terms.
What the reported Croma discount includes
Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro Max in India at a starting price of Rs 1,49,900 for the 256GB model. Digit’s 14 October 2026 report put Croma’s listed price at Rs 1,38,990 after a flat Rs 10,910 reduction. That is a direct price difference of Rs 10,910.
The same report says eligible payments with ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank or HDFC Bank credit cards may receive another Rs 4,000. If the card transaction qualifies in full, the arithmetic is:
- Apple launch price: Rs 1,49,900
- Croma reported price after flat discount: Rs 1,38,990
- Potential eligible bank discount: Rs 4,000
- Potential final price: Rs 1,34,990
- Potential total saving versus launch price: Rs 14,910
Rs 1,34,990 is therefore a possible promotional checkout price, not a guaranteed shelf price for every buyer. Confirm the exact offer page and terms before paying.

Checks to make before placing the order
- Select the storage capacity. Apple offers the Pro Max in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions. A discount on one capacity cannot be assumed to apply to another.

- Read the card conditions. Check that your card is issued by ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank or HDFC Bank, whether a minimum transaction applies, and whether the discount is instant or credited later.

- Review warranty and returns. Confirm that the device is an Indian-market unit, identify the seller on the invoice and read Croma’s return or replacement window for smartphones.

The Rs 71,990 figure is an effective price assembled from several benefits, not an unconditional price for a new iPhone 17 Pro Max. Moneycontrol’s calculation used an iPhone 15 Pro exchange; another phone, a damaged device or a different assessment can produce a different value.
Apple’s official price and what you get
Apple announced Indian pre-orders from 12 September 2025 and availability from 19 September 2025. The Rs 1,49,900 starting price applies to 256GB; higher-capacity versions cost more, so compare like-for-like listings.

Apple positions the vapour-chamber design and A19 Pro platform as performance and battery-life upgrades. Those specifications help explain the premium price, but they do not change the conditions attached to a retailer promotion.
Budget for accessories separately
Apple lists the TechWoven Case with MagSafe at Rs 5,900, the Clear Case at Rs 4,900, the Crossbody Strap at Rs 5,900 and the Apple-designed 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W maximum output at Rs 3,900. Retailer pricing may differ, and these items are not included in the reported Croma phone discount unless the checkout explicitly says so.

Choose the Croma offer when you want a straightforward purchase
The Croma route is the clearest cash-price comparison: Rs 1,38,990 before any qualifying bank reduction. It suits buyers who are not trading in a phone and who can satisfy the card terms.

Consider an exchange promotion only after the inspection value is confirmed
An exchange route can look dramatically cheaper, but its value depends on the handset you surrender and the inspection result. Obtain the final exchange quote, bonus conditions and cashback timing before treating the effective price as a saving.

Use financing to manage cash flow, not to assume a lower total
No-cost EMI can spread payments, but compare the stated tenure, down payment and processing requirements. Confirm that the scheme applies to the exact store and capacity you intend to buy.

The reported Croma promotion is capable of exceeding Rs 14,900 in savings only when the Rs 10,910 direct reduction and the full Rs 4,000 eligible bank discount both apply. Check the live listing, capacity, card eligibility, stock, warranty region and return terms at checkout; otherwise, use Rs 1,38,990 as the reported promotional reference price rather than promising yourself Rs 1,34,990.
