There is no confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 console discount for Black Friday 2026. Nintendo has raised the US MSRP, while its current game bundles provide defined value and limited stock. Buy now if a bundle includes a game you want and you need a console with dependable availability; wait if you can accept a retailer-only promotion that may never beat today’s bundle pricing.
What the Switch 2 costs after the 2026 price revision
Nintendo’s official 2026 price-revision filing says the US Switch 2 price increased from $449.99 to $499.99 on September 1, 2026. That post-revision figure is the baseline for judging every Black Friday advertisement. Nintendo states that US prices exclude sales tax.

Because the US increase happened before this year’s shopping season, a listing below $499.99 is not automatically an exceptional deal. Check whether the reduction is a genuine price cut, a retailer-funded promotion, a gift-card offer or simply an older comparison against the former MSRP.
Current official bundles give shoppers a known value
Nintendo currently lists two Switch 2 bundles. The Mario Kart World package is available while supplies last. The Nintendo Switch Sports Resort package is scheduled to become available on October 22, 2026.

The bundles’ value depends on whether you would have bought the included game separately. Nintendo’s listed savings are package calculations, not a promise that every retailer will offer an additional hardware discount. The current bundle descriptions establish the game savings; they do not establish that a three-month Nintendo Switch Online membership is included. Count membership value only when a specific listing says it is part of the package.
What Nintendo’s 2025 holiday campaign tells us
Nintendo’s official 2025 holiday announcement concentrated on software and accessories rather than cutting the Switch 2 hardware price. Cyber Deals on the eShop ran from November 20 through December 3, physical game discounts began November 23, select amiibo received $10 discounts, and Samsung MicroSD Express Cards received $20 discounts.
That history does not predict a 2026 offer, but it supports a cautious expectation: Nintendo or retailers may emphasize games, storage, accessories, bundles or gift-card incentives instead of reducing the console MSRP. A retailer-specific Switch 2 promotion is possible; an across-the-board Nintendo hardware cut is not established.

What is known and unknown about Black Friday 2026
Nintendo has not published an authoritative 2026 Black Friday hardware-price list in the available material. Consequently, no one can substantiate a guaranteed console markdown, a specific participating retailer or a final Black Friday bundle.
Any advertised deal should be compared with the post-September US MSRP and with the value of everything in the box. For example, compare a console-only offer with a bundle that includes a game you already planned to purchase. Also check whether a promotion is a temporary coupon, a gift-card rebate or a price that requires a membership.
Nintendo labels the Mario Kart package While supplies last.
Waiting could expose you to stock shortages, particularly if a retailer receives a limited allocation before its advertised Black Friday event.

Should you buy now or wait?
Buy a current bundle now when
- You want the included game and would otherwise buy it separately.
- You need a console for a fixed date, such as a holiday gift or a planned trip.
- The bundle is in stock and the stated savings are more valuable to you than the uncertain possibility of a later coupon.
- You have confirmed the seller’s return window and any holiday price-adjustment or price-match policy.
Wait for Black Friday when
- You only want the lowest possible cash price and can tolerate an offer that never arrives.
- You are flexible about retailer, bundle contents and delivery timing.
- You are prepared to compare a hardware discount with game, accessory or gift-card promotions rather than looking only for a lower sticker price.
There is no evidence that waiting will produce a better value than the currently listed bundles. The trade-off is certainty today versus the possibility of a retailer-funded promotion later.

How to evaluate a Switch 2 Black Friday listing
- Use the correct baseline. In the United States, start with $499.99, the MSRP effective September 1, 2026, not the former $449.99 price.
- Separate hardware savings from package value. Record the console price, the standalone value of any included game, accessories and any explicitly included Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- Read the stock and redemption terms. “While supplies last,” limited quantities, coupon requirements and gift-card delays can materially change the offer.
- Check return and price protection rules before purchasing early. A retailer’s holiday return window or price adjustment may let you keep a current unit while reducing risk if a later promotion appears.
- Confirm regional details. Taxes, currency, bundle contents and warranty coverage vary by country. Do not convert a US deal directly into a European or Japanese expectation.
- Verify accessory compatibility. Choose cases and storage products designed for Switch 2. Original Switch accessories may not fit or function with every Switch 2 component.
Regional pricing shows why local checks matter
Prices outside the United States can move independently of Nintendo’s US MSRP. GamesRadar reported an Australian JB Hi-Fi price of AU$699, described as AU$70 below AU$769, while also noting stock limits and uncertainty ahead of Black Friday. That is a retailer and region-specific observation, not a worldwide price guarantee.
For Europe and Japan, use the figures in Nintendo’s filing as the relevant local reference and account for the filing’s tax and storefront qualifications. Shipping, local sales tax, import costs and warranty terms can erase an apparent discount from another market.
