To use the Void Claw in Black Ops 7 Zombies, first activate Pack-a-Punch at the Nexus Forge, then claim the grapple from the green-orb pedestal beneath it. Recharge it at active Void Pedestals, activate it when you are ready to move, and fire at a surface; jump as you reach the anchor to launch upward.
How to unlock the Void Claw
- Activate Pack-a-Punch at the Nexus Forge. The setup begins at Her House: place the World Seed, pursue and defeat the two Dread Skulls, carry their Usurped Flames to the Forge braziers, and turn both crank wheels. The platform lowers when the setup is complete, activating Pack-a-Punch.
- Go below the Forge and claim the Void Claw. Interact with the green orb on the pedestal. If it is inactive, check that both braziers are lit and both crank wheels have been turned; the pedestal becomes available after the Forge setup.

How to recharge and activate it
Recharge at a Void Pedestal
Find an active Void Pedestal elsewhere on the map—the green orb identifies one—and interact with it to get a fresh charge. No specific number of charges or recharge count is established in the cited guide.

According to the same secondary guide, activating the Void Claw replaces your Tactical Equipment for 30 seconds and allows unlimited grapples during that window. Since the window is brief, choose a route or objective before activating it. The duration is a guide-reported mechanic, not an independently measured statistic, and could change with a game update.

How to grapple effectively
- Aim at a surface and fire the grapple to pull yourself toward it.
- Press jump as you reach the anchor. The guide reports that this produces a faster, stronger upward launch than the standard grapple pull.
- Use the movement to cross gaps or create space from nearby zombies, and activate the Claw when you are ready to make use of its limited window.
Can the Void Claw retrieve purple orbs?
Yes. The gameplay guide also describes grappling floating purple orbs to drag them across the map for extra loot. The resulting drops can vary, so do not count on a particular reward from an orb.
Void Claw, Void Talon, and Warden’s Blight are different

Map context
Activision described Rex Infernus as the next and final round-based Zombies map launching with Season 05 Reloaded. Its official announcement, dated August 18, 2026, says the Main Quest became available on August 20, 2026, and lists 10,000 XP as a Main Quest completion reward.
