What is the India price difference?
On vivo India’s official store on 2026-10-07, the Y31 5G 6GB+128GB listing showed ₹27,999 and the X300 FE 8GB+256GB listing showed ₹89,999. That is a displayed difference of ₹62,000 between those configurations, not a like-for-like storage comparison or a guaranteed checkout price. Store prices can change, and other sellers or regions may list different prices.
The X300 FE product page also lists 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB options. Compare the exact RAM and storage variant you intend to buy, and recheck the vivo India store listing before purchase.

Choose the X300 FE if you want a compact, higher-spec configuration
- You prefer a 6.31-inch, high-resolution AMOLED display in a smaller and lighter body.
- You want the higher-tier listed chipset and more RAM and storage choices.
- You value having dedicated telephoto and wide rear cameras in addition to the main camera.
If telephoto reach is a priority, vivo says its ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is compatible with the X300 FE and must be purchased separately. Confirm local availability and the total cost before relying on that accessory.
Camera hardware: what the specifications do and do not tell you
The X300 FE lists a 50MP OIS main camera, a 50MP OIS telephoto camera, and an 8MP wide camera; its front camera is 50MP with autofocus. The Y31 5G lists a 50MP and 0.08MP rear-camera combination and an 8MP front camera. This gives the X300 FE more explicitly specialized camera hardware, but megapixel counts and feature lists cannot establish which phone takes better photos. No comparative image testing is established here.

Battery, charging, and durability considerations
Both India product pages specify a 6,500mAh typical battery. The Y31 5G lists 44W FlashCharge and says a standard charger is supplied. The X300 FE advertises up to 90W FlashCharge when used with the original charger and cable. These are manufacturer-listed figures; they do not establish real-world battery life or the time required to recharge.
