Short answer: The vivo X300 Pro supports up to 90W wired charging with vivo’s original charger and data cable, and up to 40W wireless charging with the vivo Vertical Wireless Charger 2. It ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16; vivo advertises five years of operating-system upgrades and seven years of security maintenance. Regional specifications list IP68 and IP69 protection, while connectivity includes 5G, Wi‑Fi 6, Wi‑Fi 7, 2×2 MIMO and MU‑MIMO. Battery capacity and network support vary by market, so check the specification page for your country before buying.
How fast does the vivo X300 Pro charge?
The X300 Pro’s maximum wired charging rate is 90W. vivo qualifies that headline number: “When paired with the original charger and data cable, the maximum supported charging power is 90W.” A third-party adapter or cable may charge the phone, but it may not provide the same power profile.
The global parameter page describes the system as “90W FlashCharge + 40W Wireless Charge” and says the standard adapter supports up to 90W. The figure is a maximum charging input under specified conditions, not a promise that the phone will draw 90W continuously from empty to full. Charging power normally changes as the battery fills and can be reduced when the phone or charger becomes hot.

- The vivo charger supplied for your market or another charger that supports the phone’s required high-power protocol.
- The original, appropriately rated vivo data cable. A cable that is damaged, low-rated or not correctly identified can limit the negotiated power.
- A cool enough phone, charger and surrounding environment. Thermal controls can reduce power to protect the battery.
Regional bundles differ, so confirm whether the 90W adapter and cable are included with the handset in your country. If they are sold separately, buying a generic “90W” charger does not by itself guarantee 90W FlashCharge.

Does the X300 Pro support wireless charging?
Yes. vivo says to use the vivo Vertical Wireless Charger 2 to experience up to 40W wireless charging. That is the highest stated wireless rate for the phone, and it depends on using a compatible charger rather than an arbitrary Qi pad.
Actual wireless speed depends on pad compatibility, coil alignment, the phone case, temperature, battery level, software and whether the phone is being used during charging. Misalignment or heat can make charging substantially slower. The published specifications do not give a universal time for a full wireless or wired charge, so a precise “minutes from zero to 100 percent” claim would be misleading.
Wired versus wireless charging
| Method | Published maximum | Required equipment or qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Wired vivo FlashCharge | Up to 90W | Original vivo charger and data cable, according to vivo |
| Wireless | Up to 40W | vivo Vertical Wireless Charger 2; real speed varies with conditions |
Why is my X300 Pro charging slower than 90W?
90W is a ceiling, not a constant rate. The phone negotiates power with the charger and then adjusts it as conditions change. Work through these checks before assuming the handset is faulty.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Verify the charger and cable. Use the original vivo charger and data cable, or confirm that replacements support the required protocol and rating. A lower-power adapter, computer USB port or unsuitable cable will charge more slowly.
- Check for heat. Remove thick insulation if safe, stop intensive games or camera recording, and move the charger out of direct heat. Charging may slow until the device cools.
- Inspect the USB-C connection. Dust, moisture, a loose plug or a damaged cable can prevent high-power negotiation. Do not insert metal objects into the port; let any moisture dry completely.
- Look at the battery state. Phones commonly reduce power at higher charge levels to manage temperature and battery stress. The last part of a charge can therefore take longer than the first.
- Review software and charging options. Install available system updates and check battery-protection or scheduled-charging settings. Such controls can intentionally delay or limit charging.
- Test with the phone idle. Navigation, mobile-hotspot use, gaming and bright-screen operation consume power while charging, reducing the net gain.
There is no universal full-charge time published for the X300 Pro. If the phone remains slow with the original equipment, a dry port and moderate temperature, try another known-good original charger or contact vivo support for your region.
What battery capacity does the X300 Pro have?
Capacity is geographic rather than identical worldwide. vivo’s global parameter page lists a 6510mAh typical battery outside Europe and a 5440mAh typical battery in Europe.
| Market listed by vivo | Typical capacity | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Outside Europe | 6510mAh | Use this figure only for the corresponding regional model |
| Europe | 5440mAh | Do not assume the larger global figure applies to European stock |
“Typical” is a representative capacity, not a guarantee that every individual cell measures exactly that number. Battery endurance also depends on display settings, signal strength, camera use, gaming, background applications and software. Compare the capacity for the exact country SKU rather than importing a specification from another region.

Which Android version does it ship with, and how long will it receive updates?
The X300 Pro ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. vivo’s published policy advertises five years of operating-system upgrades and seven years of security maintenance.
vivo’s security-support table lists Android 16 as the shipping version and Android 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 as future versions, with security-update support shown through at least November 2032 globally. The five-year OS statement and seven-year security statement are vivo’s policy commitments; they should not be read as a promise that every country receives each release on the same day.
What can change the rollout schedule?
- Country or regional software channel.
- Carrier certification for operator-sold devices.
- Regulatory requirements and local testing.
- Whether the phone is an imported model with a different firmware branch.
Major Android releases and security patches can therefore arrive at different times even when two X300 Pro phones have the same hardware. Check the software channel and model number before comparing an update date reported in another country.
How to check manually for an update
- Open Settings.
- Tap System update.
- Let the phone check for available software.
- If an update appears, review its size and release notes, then choose download and installation.
- Follow the prompts to restart and complete the installation. The repair manual also describes an option to schedule installation automatically.
Use Wi‑Fi where practical. vivo’s manual warns that updating over mobile data may incur carrier charges. Keep the battery adequately charged and avoid interrupting an installation once it has started.
Is the vivo X300 Pro waterproof?
“Waterproof” is too broad a term. Official regional pages list the X300 Pro as IP68 and IP69. These are ingress-protection ratings established through controlled testing, not a blanket guarantee that every liquid exposure is harmless.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe China product page describes laboratory testing under GB/T 4208-2017. Test conditions do not reproduce every real-world event, and the regional pages do not publish a consumer submersion routine or promise that liquid damage will always be covered.

How to handle a wet phone
- Keep the USB-C port and plug dry before connecting a charger.
- Avoid deliberate high-pressure sprays, hot water, steam rooms and similar exposure.
- If the phone is wet, power it down when appropriate, wipe the exterior and allow the ports to dry naturally. Do not force liquid farther inside with compressed air or sharp objects.
- Use a case and inspect the phone after a drop. Impact, wear or a previous repair can affect seals.
IP ratings can diminish after physical damage, component replacement or long-term wear. Treat the rating as protection against specified test conditions, not permission to photograph underwater or expose the phone to pressurized or heated water.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does it support 5G and Wi‑Fi 7?
Yes. vivo’s global specifications list 5G, Wi‑Fi 6 and Wi‑Fi 7, along with 2×2 MIMO, MU‑MIMO, Wi‑Fi Display and dual-band operation. The listed bands include 2.4G/5G and 2.4G/6G modes.
Those features describe the phone’s capabilities; they do not guarantee access to a particular network. Actual service depends on the carrier, local spectrum, router or access point, infrastructure support, applicable law and the installed software version.

What to verify before buying an imported model
- 5G bands: Match the exact regional model to the frequencies used by your carrier. A phone can be advertised as 5G-capable yet miss a band needed for coverage or indoor performance.
- Wi‑Fi channels: Wi‑Fi 7 availability and 6GHz operation are regulated differently by country. Your router and local rules must support the channel and mode.
- SIM and eSIM features: Confirm the local specification and carrier compatibility rather than assuming that an overseas variant has the same SIM arrangement or eSIM support.
- Software channel: Imported phones may receive updates on a different schedule and can have regional restrictions.
Wi‑Fi Display allows compatible wireless display connections, while 2×2 MIMO and MU‑MIMO describe antenna and multi-client capabilities. They can improve throughput or network efficiency, but results depend on the router, signal quality, interference and the other devices on the network.
How should you compare the X300 Pro with another phone?
Do not compare headline wattage, IP codes or update promises without matching the conditions behind them. Use this checklist for an apples-to-apples comparison:
| Comparison area | Questions to ask |
|---|---|
| Charging | What wired and wireless rates are supported, and which charger and cable are required? |
| Software support | How many OS upgrades and security years are promised, and does the policy apply to your country? |
| Water protection | Which IP rating is listed, what test standard applies, and what exclusions follow damage or repair? |
| Battery | Which capacity is used by the exact regional model: 6510mAh outside Europe or 5440mAh in Europe for the X300 Pro? |
| Connectivity | Are your carrier’s 5G bands, local Wi‑Fi channels, SIM features and software supported? |
The practical buying decision is therefore regional. Confirm the model number, included charger, battery specification, update channel and network bands for the country where the phone will be used. Those details matter more than a generic global headline.
