The vivo X300 FE is the compact, higher-specification option, with a telephoto camera, a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, a 6500mAh battery and IP68/IP69 ratings. The Lava Bold 2 5G costs far less in the cited price listing and has a larger 6.67-inch display. The price figures are tied to different dates, variants and sources, so they are not a like-for-like current-price quote.

India price difference: compare the date and configuration
| Phone and configuration | Published price | Source and context |
|---|---|---|
| vivo X300 FE, 12GB/256GB | ₹79,999 | India launch price announced 6 May 2026 by vivo Newsroom India. |
| vivo X300 FE, 12GB/512GB | ₹89,999 | India launch price announced 6 May 2026 by vivo Newsroom India. |
| vivo X300 FE, 8GB/256GB | ₹84,999 | Price announced by vivo for availability from 12 August 2026 (vivo Newsroom India). |
| vivo X300 FE, 12GB/256GB | ₹89,999 | Price shown in the vivo India store snapshot accessed in 2026; it is a store snapshot, not a guaranteed future price (vivo India store). |
| Lava Bold 2 5G, 6GB/128GB | ₹12,999 | Third-party listing reported by 91mobiles in 2026; not a manufacturer MSRP guarantee (91mobiles). |
At the cited historical launch price, the vivo X300 FE 12GB/256GB at ₹79,999 is ₹67,000 more than the Lava Bold 2 5G 6GB/128GB listed at ₹12,999. That calculation compares different memory and storage configurations, a vivo launch price, and a third-party Lava price listing; it should not be treated as a fixed current gap. Retailer information for the Lava was inconsistent across 91mobiles comparison snapshots (comparison page), so confirm the live price and exact variant before buying.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWhat the camera specifications tell you
Both phones list a 50MP primary rear camera. The vivo adds a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS and an 8MP wide camera; its front camera is listed at 50MP with autofocus, compared with the Lava’s listed 8MP front camera. These are hardware and resolution differences, not evidence that one phone takes better photos. A photo-quality verdict would require comparable testing.

Battery, charging and protection
vivo lists a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery, 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging for the X300 FE. The Lava listing reports 5000mAh and 33W charging. These published capacities and charging ratings do not establish actual battery life or charging time, which depend on usage and conditions.
The vivo’s IP68/IP69 ratings are listed on its official India product page. The Lava’s IP64 rating comes from 91mobiles rather than a surfaced Lava manufacturer specification page, so verify the rating against current Lava documentation if it is decisive for your purchase.

Which phone fits your priorities?
Consider the vivo X300 FE if you want
- A more compact phone: it is 150.83mm tall and 71.76mm wide, compared with the Lava’s 163.2mm height and 76.05mm width.
- A listed telephoto camera, a higher-resolution autofocus selfie camera, and additional rear-camera hardware.
- A higher listed chipset tier, a larger nominal battery, faster rated charging, and stronger published ingress-protection ratings.
- To consider the separately purchased ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, which vivo says is compatible with the X300 FE (vivo product page).
Consider the Lava Bold 2 5G if you want
- A larger 6.67-inch display.
- A much lower cited price, while recognizing that the ₹12,999 figure is a third-party listing for 6GB/128GB rather than a verified live quote.
- A thinner and lighter handset on the listed figures: 7.55mm and 174g versus the vivo’s 7.99mm and 191g.
What to verify before you buy
- Check the current India price from the retailer or manufacturer for the exact RAM and storage variant you intend to buy.
- Confirm the software version, update policy and region-specific features with the seller or manufacturer; the cited listings show Android 16 / OriginOS 6 for vivo and Android 15 for Lava, but do not establish comparable update support periods.
- For the Lava, seek current manufacturer confirmation of detailed specifications such as IP rating and charging support, because the detailed figures cited here come from a third-party listing.
- Choose based on your needs for screen size, camera hardware, portability, and charging rather than treating component specifications as proof of real-world performance or image quality.
