The vivo X300 FE is the smaller, more performance- and camera-focused phone on paper; the realme Narzo 90 offers a larger screen, a higher stated battery capacity and a much lower dated India price reference. The price figures are not like-for-like current offers: vivo announced the X300 FE at ₹79,999 for 12GB+256GB in May 2026, while Gadgets 360 listed the Narzo 90 from ₹16,988 on September 11, 2026, and marked it unavailable. How big is the price difference?
Using the cited starting figures, the arithmetic difference is ₹63,011: vivo’s ₹79,999 X300 FE launch price for 12GB+256GB minus Gadgets 360’s ₹16,988 Narzo 90 tracker price reported September 11, 2026. That is a comparison of a May 2026 manufacturer launch price with a later price-tracker figure—not a verified current checkout-price gap. Gadgets 360 marked the Narzo unavailable, and the cited vivo figures are launch prices rather than confirmed live offers. Check same-day prices and stock before deciding.
vivo announced ₹89,999 for the X300 FE 12GB+512GB version. Its May 6, 2026 announcement said availability began May 14 through Flipkart, Amazon, vivo’s e-store and retail partners. Choose the Narzo for a larger screen
The Narzo 90’s 6.57-inch AMOLED panel is larger than the X300 FE’s 6.31-inch screen, which may suit readers who prefer more viewing area for video, reading or games. Both manufacturers specify 120Hz refresh rates. The published resolutions are 1080×2372 for realme and 2640×1216 for vivo. realme’s product page advertises 4000-nit peak brightness, while vivo’s specification page lists 5000-nit local peak brightness. Those brightness numbers use different descriptions, and the available specifications do not establish a shared test method, so they cannot reliably declare a winner.

Choose the X300 FE for a smaller footprint
The X300 FE pairs its 6.31-inch display with a stated width of 71.76mm and weight of 191g. realme lists the Narzo at 181g and 7.79mm thick for Victory Gold and Carbon Black. The Narzo is lighter in the listed figures, but it is also the larger-screen phone; consider the overall dimensions and how each feels in hand rather than using weight alone.

The X300 FE’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a higher-tier specification than the Dimensity 6400 Max listed for the Narzo 90 by Gadgets 360. That makes vivo the stronger on-paper choice for demanding apps and games, but a processor name is not a substitute for comparable benchmark or sustained-performance testing. The available sources do not establish measured head-to-head speed, thermal behavior or gaming frame rates. vivo lists the X300 FE’s processor; Gadgets 360 lists the Narzo’s chip.

Why the X300 FE offers more camera flexibility
vivo specifies a 50MP OIS main camera, a separate 50MP OIS telephoto camera and an 8MP fixed-focus wide camera, plus a 50MP autofocus front camera. The dedicated telephoto lens gives the X300 FE a distinct hardware option for zoom photography; optical image stabilization is specified for the main and telephoto cameras. vivo also announced the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 as a separately purchased accessory priced at ₹15,999 at launch. The May 6, 2026 release says it is compatible only with the X300 FE, is available at select retailers, and is not included in the standard package. What the Narzo camera listing establishes
realme describes 50MP front and rear AI cameras, while Gadgets 360 lists a 50MP+2MP rear setup. Those specifications do not establish image quality, low-light performance, autofocus behavior or video quality relative to the vivo. realme’s product page and Gadgets 360’s listing provide the cited details.

realme gives the Narzo 90 a 7,000mAh typical battery capacity (6,830mAh rated), versus vivo’s 6,500mAh typical capacity (6,350mAh rated minimum). The Narzo therefore has the higher stated capacity, but that figure alone cannot predict which phone lasts longer: display, processor, software and usage also affect runtime, and the cited sources do not provide a comparable real-world battery test.

How should you weigh durability and software?
Water and dust ratings have limits
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 protection for the X300 FE; realme lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 for the Narzo 90. Both manufacturers include caveats: vivo publishes test-condition and liquid-damage notes, while realme warns that protection may lessen with use and says liquid-immersion damage is excluded. An ingress-protection rating is not a promise that water damage will be covered by warranty. Review the manufacturers’ terms and avoid deliberate water exposure. vivo’s notes and realme’s notes.
Confirm the exact software and storage configuration
vivo lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and storage configurations including 8GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB; its specification page says ROM expansion is not supported. Gadgets 360 lists Android 15 with realme UI 6.0 for the Narzo, along with 128GB variants and microSD expansion. Software versions, storage options and regional variants can change, so check the exact local seller listing and the manufacturer’s update-policy information before purchase. The cited specifications do not establish a directly comparable software-support period.
Which one should you buy?
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if a smaller screen footprint, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 specification, a dedicated stabilized telephoto camera, wireless charging or the optional compatible extender matters enough to justify its premium launch price reference.
- Consider the realme Narzo 90 if you want the larger display, the higher stated battery capacity and a substantially lower dated India price reference. Confirm the variant and current availability first; the cited tracker marked it unavailable.
