The vivo X300 FE is a conventional compact phone, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 opens into a larger 7.6-inch display. In the India price snapshot cited by 91mobiles, the Fold8 was listed ₹80,000 higher—but that is a reported listing comparison, not a guaranteed matched-SKU checkout price. The choice is chiefly between a standard phone with a listed 3x optical telephoto camera and a book-style foldable built around a larger inner screen.
How the vivo X300 FE and Galaxy Z Fold8 differ
These phones have different shapes and intended uses. The X300 FE is a slab phone with a 6.31-inch AMOLED display. The Fold8 has a 5.5-inch cover display and opens to a 7.6-inch inner display, giving it a larger workspace for reading, media, and multitasking. That difference describes their published form factors; it is not a hands-on usability assessment.

The comparison summary identifies 256 GB storage for both configurations, but it does not establish that the two listings have fully matched retail terms, including seller, warranty, current offers, and stock. Samsung Australia’s buying guide lists other Fold8 memory and storage configurations, illustrating why buyers should check the exact local SKU. Confirm the live price and listing details with the retailer before purchasing.
Does the Fold8’s larger screen justify the price difference?
It may, if an unfolding display is central to how you use a phone. The Fold8’s 7.6-inch inner screen offers more viewing area than the X300 FE’s 6.31-inch display, while its 5.5-inch cover screen provides a smaller surface when folded. The X300 FE keeps the conventional phone shape and avoids making the foldable format the defining feature of the device.
- Consider the X300 FE if you want a standard compact-phone format and value having a listed 3x optical telephoto camera.
- Consider the Fold8 if a larger screen for reading, media, or multitasking is worth paying more for at your local checkout price.
- Compare the exact models and terms available in your country, including storage, warranty, repair options, software support, and final price.
This is a feature-based decision, not a claim that one phone is better overall. The available specifications do not establish how either device feels in everyday use.

Camera hardware
vivo lists three rear cameras: a 50 MP main, an 8 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Samsung lists dual 50 MP wide and ultra-wide rear cameras for the Fold8. The vivo specification explicitly includes a telephoto camera; these hardware descriptions alone do not establish which phone produces better photos.

Battery capacity and playback claims
The X300 FE has a listed 6,500 mAh battery capacity. Samsung lists 4,800 mAh typical capacity and separately notes a 4,660 mAh rated capacity for the Fold8. Capacity figures alone cannot establish comparative real-world battery life.
Samsung advertises up to 26 hours of continuous video playback for the Fold8 based on its internal lab conditions and notes that actual playback varies. That manufacturer estimate is not directly comparable to the X300 FE’s capacity figure, and it does not establish which phone lasts longer in a typical user’s routine.
