The vivo X200 Ultra is the more camera-system-focused choice, with 14 mm ultra-wide, 35 mm documentary, and 85 mm APO telephoto perspectives. The newer vivo X300 pairs a 200 MP main camera with 50 MP telephoto and ultra-wide cameras in a compact-sized flagship design. Their China-listed batteries and charging speeds are close; the more useful choice depends on camera approach, preferred size, exact configuration, and local availability—not megapixels or launch prices alone.

How their camera systems differ
X200 Ultra: focal-length-led camera approach
Vivo presents the X200 Ultra around three ZEISS focal lengths: 14 mm for ultra-wide scenes, 35 mm for a documentary-style perspective, and 85 mm for APO telephoto photography. That framing makes it the more explicitly creator-oriented option in Vivo’s launch description. Consider it if those specific perspectives are central to how you shoot.
X300: high-resolution main camera in a three-camera setup
The X300’s China specifications list a 200 MP ZEISS main camera alongside 50 MP ZEISS APO telephoto and 50 MP ultra-wide cameras. Its headline megapixel count is not, by itself, proof that it takes better photos than the X200 Ultra. Sensor, lens, image processing, and the focal lengths you actually use also matter; the specifications here do not establish a controlled image-quality winner.

Size, screen, and performance
Vivo describes the X300 as a compact-sized flagship, and its China specification page lists a 6.31-inch AMOLED display with 2640 × 1216 resolution and a 1–120 Hz refresh rate. The cited information does not provide a matching X200 Ultra display figure, so it does not support a numerical size or screen-quality comparison between the two.
Vivo lists the X300 with a Dimensity 9500 processor built on a 3 nm process and an eight-core configuration. The available X200 Ultra details do not establish its processor specification, so a processor-generation or speed verdict would be unsupported here.

Battery and charging comparison
Vivo lists typical battery capacity at 6,000 mAh for the X200 Ultra and 6,040 mAh for the X300. Both cited specification pages state 90 W wired and 40 W wireless charging. The close capacity figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in use; no comparable runtime test is provided.

The launch starting prices differ by ¥2,100: ¥6,499 for the X200 Ultra minus ¥4,399 for the X300. That compares launch figures from different years, not current offers. Comparing the X200 Ultra’s ¥6,499 launch starting price with the X300’s ¥4,599 listed 12 GB + 256 GB price gives a ¥1,900 difference, but that is neither a same-date street-price comparison nor a storage-matched comparison. These are China manufacturer prices, not live local quotes.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the X200 Ultra if its 14 mm, 35 mm, and 85 mm focal-length approach better matches the way you compose photos, and you can confirm a suitable regional version and price.
- Choose the X300 if you want the newer compact-sized model, value its specified 6.31-inch screen and Dimensity 9500, or want to select among the China-listed memory and storage configurations.
- Compare local offers before deciding if price is the deciding factor. China launch and suggested retail prices do not establish what either phone costs today in another market.
Check the regional model before buying
Vivo’s cited X200 Ultra announcement and specifications are China-focused. Vivo publishes China specifications for the X300 as well as an international X300 product page, but that does not mean every configuration or feature is sold in every country. Before ordering an imported or regional variant, confirm the exact model number and RAM/storage, mobile-network compatibility, warranty coverage, software and ROM region, and local stock. A matching model name alone does not guarantee those details.
Both phones carry IP68 and IP69 ratings in Vivo’s product information. These describe tested resistance under specified laboratory conditions; they do not make a phone waterproof or guarantee its protection will remain unchanged as the device ages or sustains wear. Vivo explicitly cautions that resistance can decline over time.
