The current shortlist is Samsung Galaxy S26, Google Pixel 10 Pro (or Pixel 10 Pro XL), and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. They are not proven one-for-one replacements for every Vivo X-series phone: Vivo sells several X models with different camera systems, batteries, prices, and regional variants. Choose a specific Vivo model and country first, then compare the Samsung for compact size, the Pixel for dependable point-and-shoot still photography, or the Xiaomi for camera hardware and optical-zoom flexibility. No cited source provides a controlled test against a named Vivo phone, so a universal winner would be misleading.
Why “Vivo X series” is not a single comparison target
“Vivo X series” describes a family, not one globally uniform handset. The Philippines Vivo lineup page, for example, lists X300 Ultra, X300 FE, X300 Pro, X300, X200 FE, X200 Pro, and X200. Those entries have different cameras, chipsets, battery capacities, charging systems, and prices, and the page is specifically a Philippines-market listing rather than a worldwide catalogue. Check the model sold in the reader’s country before treating any specification as applicable.
The differences can be substantial even within one generation. On that Philippines page, the X300 Ultra is presented with dual 200MP cameras, 4K 120-fps Pro Video, a 6,600mAh battery, and 100W FlashCharge. The X300 Pro entry lists a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera, a 6,510mAh battery, and 90W FlashCharge. These are Vivo Philippines claims; another market may receive a different configuration, name, network bands, warranty, or price. The three named alternatives at a glance
| Phone | What the available evidence establishes | Best starting point for | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy S26 | 6.3-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 1–120Hz refresh; 50MP wide AF, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP 3x tele AF; 4,300mAh typical battery; up to 25W wired charging; Android 16 and One UI 8.5 for the series. | Readers who want a relatively compact flagship and a conventional three-camera layout. | Samsung says storage and availability vary by carrier, country, or region. Its “3x optical” and “2x optical quality” labels are not identical claims. |
| Google Pixel 10 Pro / 10 Pro XL | Official Google specifications cover the Pro and Pro XL. The cited figures list 6.3- and 6.8-inch screens, 4,870mAh and 5,200mAh batteries, 50MP main, 48MP 5x telephoto, 48MP ultrawide, and 42MP front cameras. A specialist review describes still photography as a strength and video and battery as relative trade-offs. | People who value reliable everyday still-photo processing and can verify local availability. | The review is editorial judgment, not a Vivo head-to-head test; use Google’s local product page for the exact regional specification. |
| Xiaomi 17 Ultra | The cited camera review describes a one-inch main camera and a 200MP telephoto with 75–100mm mechanical optical zoom. | Readers prioritizing large-sensor imaging and dedicated telephoto hardware. | The review says the practical difference between the focal lengths may be smaller than expected. Country-specific price, stock, and specifications must be confirmed. |
Primary specifications and regional notices are available from Samsung’s Galaxy S26 announcement, Google’s Pixel 10 Pro specifications page, and Xiaomi’s global 17 Ultra product page. The camera positioning above comes from Digital Camera World’s Android photography review.
Samsung Galaxy S26: the compact, conventional flagship option
Core specifications published by Samsung
| Feature | Galaxy S26 specification |
|---|---|
| Display | 6.3-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X; adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate |
| Rear cameras | 50MP wide with autofocus; 12MP ultrawide; 10MP 3x telephoto with autofocus |
| Battery | 4,300mAh typical capacity |
| Wired charging | Up to 25W |
| Software at announcement | Android 16 with One UI 8.5 for the S26 series |
These are Samsung-published specifications, and Samsung warns that storage and availability can vary by carrier, country, or region. Confirm the exact capacity, SIM configuration, network bands, and warranty for the market in which the phone will be purchased.
Where it fits against a Vivo X-series phone
The base S26 is the clearest option when ergonomics matter more than maximum battery or the largest possible camera sensors. Its 6.3-inch screen and 4,300mAh typical battery describe a compact flagship profile. That may suit someone moving from a smaller Vivo model, but it is not evidence that the S26 will last longer or take better photos than a particular X-series device; battery endurance and image quality require controlled testing on the same software and network conditions.
The rear arrangement gives you a dedicated 3x telephoto rather than relying only on digital cropping. Samsung also describes a 3x optical distance and a 2x optical-quality distance. Treat those labels carefully: “optical quality” is a quality target for a crop or computational mode, not the same physical claim as a lens delivering true optical magnification. If your Vivo comparison phone has a longer telephoto or a large high-resolution sensor, compare focal lengths and sensor sizes directly rather than counting camera megapixels.

- Google Pixel 10 Pro is the ultimate Pixel experience, featuring advanced AI with Gemini, unbelievable camera quality, impeccable design in two sizes, and the next-gen Google Tensor G5 chip[1]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan[2]; it works - Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Get a head start on syncing your data before it even arrives: After you purchase your new Pixel, look for an email that explains how to transfer your photos, videos, passwords, and more in just a few quick steps[11]
- Pixel’s pro camera system makes everything look amazing, even in low light; capture more of the scene with advanced Google AI models, and bring out incredible details with 100x Pro Res Zoom, stunning 50 MP images, and super steady videos in 8K[10]
- Pixel 10 Pro is built with durable aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch and drop resistance; the 6.3-inch Super Actua display with 3,300-nit peak brightness is easy on the eyes, even in direct sunlight[3,13,18]
Who should put the S26 first on the shortlist
- Someone who wants a smaller flagship body and a 6.3-inch-class display.
- A buyer who prefers Samsung’s Android interface and camera controls, subject to the software version and services offered in the local market.
- A shopper for whom a standard wide, ultrawide, and 3x telephoto arrangement is sufficient.
Do not select it solely because “Galaxy” implies better value. Compare the local price, storage tier, included charger policy, bands, repair network, and warranty with the exact Vivo listing.
Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL: the still-photo processing choice
Published hardware figures
| Feature | Pixel 10 Pro | Pixel 10 Pro XL |
|---|---|---|
| Screen size listed in the cited review | 6.3 inches | 6.8 inches |
| Battery listed in the cited review | 4,870mAh | 5,200mAh |
| Main camera | 50MP | |
| Telephoto camera | 48MP, 5x | |
| Ultrawide camera | 48MP | |
| Front camera | 42MP | |
The figures in this table are those reported in the cited specialist review; Google’s official page is the authority for the configuration sold in your country. Open Google’s Pixel 10 Pro specifications and select the relevant regional store before buying.
What “good for photography” means here
Digital Camera World characterizes the Pixel 10 Pro/Pro XL line as reliable for everyday photography and describes its still-image output as strong. That is an editorial assessment of the Pixel’s processing and shooting experience, not a measured result against a Vivo X-series model. It is most relevant if you frequently take people, pets, food, or travel snapshots and want consistent results without manually tuning exposure or focus.

The same review identifies video and battery as relative trade-offs compared with rival premium phones. “Relative” matters: it does not establish a universal failure, a battery-life number, or a particular gap versus Vivo. If you record long 4K sessions, use cellular navigation all day, or need fast top-ups, inspect local charging specifications and independent tests made with the same regional model.

Choosing Pro versus Pro XL
The cited figures make the basic distinction straightforward: the Pro is listed at 6.3 inches and 4,870mAh, while the Pro XL is 6.8 inches and 5,200mAh. A larger screen can make editing and viewing easier, but it changes one-handed comfort and pocketability. The battery-capacity difference is a specification difference, not a promise of proportionally longer runtime. Confirm dimensions, weight, charging behavior, storage, and price on Google’s local page.
When the Pixel is the more sensible alternative
- You value dependable still photographs more than a long list of camera modes.
- You prefer a choice between a smaller Pro and larger Pro XL body.
- You can obtain the desired model with local warranty and full carrier compatibility.
If your priority is advanced video, very fast charging, or a Vivo model’s unusually large battery, the Pixel review’s stated trade-offs deserve more weight than its still-photo strength.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra: a hardware-led camera alternative
Camera architecture described by the review
Digital Camera World describes the Xiaomi 17 Ultra around a one-inch main camera and a 200MP telephoto with mechanical optical zoom covering 75–100mm. That combination is aimed at people who care about sensor size and a physically variable telephoto range rather than simply wanting more megapixels on a specification sheet.
The same review cautions that the practical difference between the focal lengths may be smaller than a reader expects. A 75–100mm range does not guarantee that every subject will look dramatically different at each end, and framing also depends on the phone’s crop modes, processing, distance to the subject, and light. Treat the hardware as an opportunity, not as proof of superior photographs.
Rank #4
- PRIVACY DISPLAY: Automatically hide your screen from those beside you. The built-in privacy display can be preset¹ to turn on when receiving notifications, typing passwords, or using specific apps

What still needs verification
Xiaomi maintains a global product page, but availability, price, storage, network bands, software configuration, warranty, and even included accessories can be country-specific. Use the Xiaomi 17 Ultra product page as a starting point, then open the local Xiaomi store or an authorized retailer. Do not assume that a global-page specification or an imported handset has the same service coverage as a locally sold phone.
Who should investigate it
- Photographers who specifically want a one-inch-class main sensor and a dedicated high-resolution telephoto.
- Users who understand that mechanical optical zoom is a hardware feature, not a guarantee of better processing in every scene.
- Buyers in a market where the phone is officially sold and supported, rather than relying on an uncertain import.
How to compare one of these phones with your exact Vivo
Use the following matrix before deciding. Fill it with the specifications of the exact local models; do not substitute a different X-series generation or a review unit from another region.
| Comparison axis | What to record | Why it changes the decision |
|---|---|---|
| Price and warranty | Currency, storage tier, taxes, promotions, warranty length and who provides service | A lower headline price may disappear when an imported phone lacks local repair or returns. |
| Size and ergonomics | Screen size, body dimensions, weight, camera-bump shape, one-hand reach | The S26’s 6.3-inch format and the Pixel’s 6.3/6.8-inch choice suit different hands and pockets. |
| Camera hardware | Main, ultrawide, and telephoto sensor sizes; lens focal lengths; autofocus; optical versus crop modes | Megapixel counts alone do not reveal framing, low-light behavior, or true optical reach. |
| Still photography | Color, HDR, skin tones, moving-subject success, night detail, shutter behavior | The Pixel’s cited strength is still-image reliability, while Vivo and Xiaomi may emphasize camera hardware or modes. |
| Video | Maximum resolution and frame rate, stabilization, HDR/log options, heat and storage requirements | The available Pixel review calls video a relative trade-off; the Vivo Philippines page advertises 4K 120-fps Pro Video on X300 Ultra. |
| Battery and charging | Capacity, wired and wireless charging, charger included, measured endurance under your network | Capacity is not runtime. The cited Vivo models list 6,600mAh/100W and 6,510mAh/90W, while Samsung lists 4,300mAh and up to 25W. |
| Software | Android version, interface preferences, update policy published for your region, bundled services | A phone can have excellent hardware but still be a poor fit if its software or update terms do not suit you. |
| Storage and memory | Available RAM and storage tiers, microSD support if relevant, price for the tier you need | Storage and availability can vary by market, including on the S26. |
| Connectivity and service | 5G/LTE bands, eSIM/dual-SIM behavior, VoLTE, Wi-Fi features, local repair and returns | Imported variants can lose carrier features or practical warranty protection. |
A camera decision that does not confuse specifications with results
If you want easy still photography
Put the Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL on the shortlist because the specialist review specifically praises its everyday still-image output. Then verify that the local model has the storage and warranty you need. Compare sample photographs made with your own subjects if possible; a review’s editorial judgment is useful guidance, not a controlled Vivo comparison.

Investigate the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s one-inch main camera and 200MP 75–100mm mechanical telephoto. Check whether your typical subjects actually benefit from that range and whether the local model is officially supported. Compare the Vivo’s real focal lengths, not just its telephoto megapixel count.
Best Value
- Google Pixel 10a is a durable, everyday phone with more[1]; snap brilliant photography on a simple, powerful camera, get 30+ hours out of a full charge[2], and do more with helpful AI like Gemini[3]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Pixel 10a is sleek and durable, with a super smooth finish, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display, and IP68 water and dust protection[4]
- The Actua display with 3,000-nit peak brightness shows up clear as day, even in direct sunlight[5]
- Plan, create, and get more done with help from Gemini, your built-in AI assistant[3]; have it screen spam calls while you focus[6]; chat with Gemini to brainstorm your meal plan[7], or bring your ideas to life with Nano Banana[8]
If you want a balanced, compact camera system
The Galaxy S26 supplies wide, ultrawide, and 3x telephoto cameras in a 6.3-inch body. Its 3x optical claim should be compared with the Vivo’s actual lens reach, while the separate “2x optical quality” wording should not be treated as a second physical telephoto lens.
If video is the deciding factor
Record the exact modes offered by each regional model, including frame rates, stabilization, HDR, and heat limits. The cited Vivo Philippines listing advertises 4K 120-fps Pro Video for X300 Ultra, but that is a product-page claim for that listing, not evidence that every X-series phone or every market has the same mode. The Pixel review’s video caveat also does not establish a numerical deficit.
Battery, charging, and daily endurance
Published capacity figures show why these phones should not be treated as equivalent. Vivo’s Philippines page lists 6,600mAh and 100W for X300 Ultra and 6,510mAh and 90W for X300 Pro. Samsung lists a 4,300mAh typical battery and up to 25W wired charging for the base S26. The cited Pixel figures are 4,870mAh for Pro and 5,200mAh for Pro XL. These numbers come from manufacturer listings or the named review, not a common endurance test.
Capacity, charger wattage, modem behavior, screen settings, camera use, temperature, and software all affect runtime. Before buying, check whether the advertised charger is included, whether the local electrical plug is compatible, and whether fast charging is available with accessories sold in your country. If endurance is critical, seek a test that names the tester, software version, regional model, brightness, network, and workload; do not convert a capacity table into a runtime promise.
Regional availability is part of the specification
A phone that works on paper can be a poor purchase if it lacks the bands or support you need. Samsung explicitly warns that specifications and availability may vary by carrier, country, or region. The Vivo page cited here is Philippines-specific. Google’s specifications page and Xiaomi’s product page have their own regional context. Prices, stock, storage, SIM behavior, warranty, returns, and repair options must therefore be checked locally.
Five checks before placing an order
- Identify the exact model code. Record the country, storage tier, RAM configuration, SIM/eSIM arrangement, and model number shown by the seller.
- Check network compatibility. Compare the model’s LTE and 5G bands and carrier features with your operator; do not rely on the product family name.
- Confirm warranty and returns. Establish whether service is provided by the manufacturer, an authorized retailer, or the importing seller, and where a defective phone must be shipped.
- Verify the complete price. Include taxes, delivery, exchange-rate fees, accessories, and any charger purchase before comparing it with a local Vivo offer.
- Read the current local product page. Recheck stock, color, storage, software configuration, and launch-period promotions immediately before purchase.
Which shortlist member deserves your closer look?
| Your priority | First phone to investigate | What to verify before deciding |
|---|---|---|
| Small flagship body and familiar three-camera coverage | Samsung Galaxy S26 | Local storage, bands, warranty, and the actual price against your Vivo model. |
| Consistent point-and-shoot still photos | Google Pixel 10 Pro | Local availability, service, video needs, and whether 6.3 inches suits you. |
| Larger display and battery option within the Pixel line | Google Pixel 10 Pro XL | 6.8-inch ergonomics, 5,200mAh figure in the cited review, charging details, and local price. |
| Large-sensor camera hardware and mechanical telephoto | Xiaomi 17 Ultra | Official local sale, warranty, bands, storage, and whether 75–100mm framing helps your subjects. |
| Very high charging speed or battery capacity | Compare against the specific Vivo listing first | The cited Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 Pro figures are market-specific; do not assume a Samsung, Pixel, or Xiaomi substitute matches them. |
This framework deliberately leaves room for the Vivo to remain the better fit. If the X-series model available to you combines the camera focal lengths, charging speed, price, and service you value, switching brands may offer no practical advantage.
What the available evidence cannot prove
- It does not identify a universal best phone across all Vivo X-series generations.
- It does not provide a controlled camera, video, thermal, or battery test between a named Vivo and these three alternatives.
- It does not establish that a larger sensor or higher megapixel count always produces better images.
- It does not establish identical prices, stock, bands, warranty, or software support in every country.
- It does not turn manufacturer capacity and charging figures into guaranteed screen-on time or charging time.
For a defensible purchase recommendation, name the Vivo model, country, storage tier, budget, and top two priorities. Then compare local units under the same software version and network conditions. Without those details, Samsung Galaxy S26, Google Pixel 10 Pro/Pro XL, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are best understood as three different directions—compact balance, still-photo processing, and camera hardware—not as a ranked replacement list.
