The vivo X Fold6 upgrades the processor, main-camera resolution and listed typical battery capacity, while keeping screen sizes close to the X Fold5. It is not an across-the-board spec win: the cited X Fold5 cover screen has higher resolution, and the India price listings compare different RAM configurations. vivo announced the X Fold6 at ₹219,999 for 12GB + 512GB, versus an X Fold5 16GB + 512GB listing at ₹159,999.
vivo X Fold5 vs X Fold6: specifications at a glance

The X Fold6 moves from the X Fold5’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4 nm) to a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition (3 nm). That is a platform and generation change, but the specifications alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use. No independent head-to-head benchmark results are available here.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Vivo X Fold 5
- High-end hard PC material: Made of polycarbonate material, it provides a smooth, scratch-resistant surface with a delicate, skin-friendly texture that is smooth and fingerprint-resistant.
- Lens Protection : The 0.3mm raised edge protects the screen and camera from scratches caused by direct contact with the surface.
- with magnetic adsorption, such as wireless charger, magnetic car mount, magnetic battery pack, magnetic wallet, etc. You just need to put the cell phone You only need to put your cell phone on the charger, no need to remove the case. The perfectly aligned magnetic field attraction makes wireless charging faster and more stable. (Must have wireless charging on the phone itself)
- Precise cutouts are designed for easy access to all ports, buttons and camera. The buttons are soft, responsive and easy to press, and are easy to install and remove.
The cited India listings also do not match on memory: the X Fold5 listing is 16GB + 512GB, while the X Fold6 India parameter page lists 12GB + 512GB. Storage is the same in those particular configurations, but RAM is not; do not interpret a price comparison between them as a like-for-like SKU comparison.
How do the displays compare?
The inner displays are nearly the same diagonal size: 8.03 inches for the X Fold5 and 8.02 inches for the X Fold6. The X Fold6 has the higher listed inner-screen resolution at 2504 × 2312, compared with 2480 × 2200.

![linsuyu Case Compatible with Vivo X Fold5 [Hard PC] Foldable Phone Case Blue](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41sNnncDykL._SL160_.jpg)
- Compatible with Vivo X Fold5
- Made of hard polycarbonate with a matte finish, it features an ultra-thin front cover and back panel to preserve the phone’s original design and provide a comfortable grip.
- Charge easily without removing the case, and it supports wireless charging while the case is on.
- Precise cutouts ensure a perfect fit for all buttons and ports, making operation convenient.
- The raised bezel design effectively protects the flip screen and camera from scratches.
The cover display comparison goes the other way. The X Fold5’s cited 6.53-inch panel is listed at 2748 × 1172, while the X Fold6’s 6.51-inch panel is listed at 2528 × 1120. Thus, the newer model’s cover screen is marginally smaller and has lower listed resolution; display size alone does not tell the whole story.
Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a typical battery capacity of 6900mAh for the X Fold6 and 6000mAh for the X Fold5. These are manufacturer capacity figures, not measured endurance results: they do not establish how many hours either phone lasts under a particular workload. vivo separately lists rated or minimum capacity, so compare typical capacity with typical capacity.
Rank #3
- Compatible with Vivo X Fold5 5G V2436A
- The phone cover is handcrafted with high quality soft PU leather and hard PC material. Handmade synthetic leather case stylishly provides an elegant and fashion look and feel.
- Ultra slim lightweight design and perfect fit that adds minimal bulk to your smartphone.
- Quick and easy snap-on shell installation, provides excellent protection against scratches, scuffs and other damage.
- Premium soft smooth feel exterior with non-slip leather surface with a grip. Precise cut and design, provides full access to all buttons, ports, speakers and cameras.
Both models are listed for wired charging up to 80W. The X Fold6 India page qualifies this with use of the original charger and cable, and actual charging power varies with use. The headline wattage does not guarantee identical charging time in every condition.
Camera hardware: more main-camera megapixels, not a proven photo verdict
The X Fold5 has three listed 50MP rear cameras: main, ultrawide and telephoto. The X Fold6 keeps 50MP ultrawide and telephoto cameras but raises the main-camera resolution to 200MP. This is a change in listed hardware, not proof that the X Fold6 takes better photos. Megapixels alone do not establish image quality, and no independent comparative camera test is available here.

Weight and software depend on market
The global X Fold5 page lists different weights by color—217g for Gray and 226g for White. The cited India X Fold6 page lists 228g, excluding the main-display protective film. Because the pages use different market and color details, treat these as listed figures rather than a perfectly controlled, same-color comparison.

The cited software entries also differ: Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 for X Fold5, and OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 on the X Fold6 India specifications page. Software branding and versions can be region-specific; verify the software on the exact SKU offered in your market.

The nominal difference between those listed prices is ₹60,000, but the RAM configurations differ, and discounts, stock and current listings can change the gap.
vivo announced X Fold6 sales in India would begin on October 13, 2026, including through Amazon India. As of the October 7, 2026 announcement information, that was a future start date—not confirmation that sales were already live.
China launch pricing
vivo China lists the X Fold6 at ¥7,999 for 12GB + 256GB, ¥8,999 for 12GB + 512GB, ¥9,999 for 16GB + 512GB, and ¥10,999 for 16GB + 1TB; its product page gives June 2026 as the launch month. The China X Fold5 product page lists a starting 12GB + 256GB configuration at ¥6,999. The ¥1,000 difference compares entry configurations only; it is not a same-storage price delta. China prices should not be converted and combined with India retail prices, where taxes, configurations, offers and availability differ.

Which phone makes more sense?
Choose based on the X Fold6’s updates if
- You want the newer listed processor platform and accept that these specifications do not prove a real-world speed advantage.
- The higher-resolution 200MP main-camera specification matters to you, while recognizing that megapixels do not establish image quality.
- The larger listed typical battery capacity is a priority, without assuming it guarantees longer measured runtime.
Look closely at the X Fold5 if
- You are comparing the cited India prices: its listed 16GB + 512GB configuration is less expensive than the announced X Fold6 12GB + 512GB price, though RAM differs.
- The cover display’s listed resolution is important to you; the X Fold5 figure is higher in the cited specifications.
- You can find an available local listing at a price that makes the older platform and lower typical battery capacity acceptable.
Before purchasing, check the exact regional SKU, current street price, included warranty and repair terms, and carrier-band compatibility with your operator. vivo notes that network functionality depends on carrier availability, infrastructure, regulation and software.
