For India buyers, the vivo V80 is the choice if you will regularly use a dedicated 3x optical-zoom camera; the OPPO F35 Pro is the lower-priced option with a larger stated battery. Based on prices reported in October 2026, the V80 costs ₹17,000 more in the cited base configurations, or ₹15,000 more for the cited 256GB configurations. The title’s “$134” does not match those India price differences, and should not be treated as a current or worldwide premium.
What the V80’s zoom adds
vivo lists the V80 with a 50MP telephoto camera, 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). OPPO’s India F35 Pro specification page lists a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera, but no telephoto camera. That is a meaningful hardware distinction: the V80 has a dedicated camera for optical reach, while the F35 Pro’s listed rear cameras do not include one.
If you often photograph people from a distance, concerts or other events where you cannot move closer, the V80’s telephoto camera is likely to be more useful than a higher megapixel count on a main camera. It gives you a separate optical viewpoint rather than relying on the main camera alone. This is a practical inference from the published specifications, not a claim that the V80 produces better photos in every setting. No controlled photo comparison is available here.

vivo announced India prices for three V80 configurations; a Dalimss News price comparison dated 9 October 2026 reported two F35 Pro prices. The differences below are arithmetic from those figures, not a separate market-wide statistic.

The base-price comparison is not like-for-like on RAM: the V80 configuration has 8GB, while the cited F35 Pro base configuration has 6GB. The 256GB configurations both list 8GB RAM, making that the clearer comparison in this set of prices.
vivo’s release, dated 6 October 2026, said sales would start in India on 13 October through partner retail stores, vivo’s site, Flipkart and Amazon. The F35 Pro figures are a price check reported on 9 October. Those dated figures do not establish current stock, today’s checkout price, or prices outside India. Check the exact RAM and storage variant and live listing before buying; neither ₹15,000 nor ₹17,000 should be silently converted into a fixed US-dollar premium.

Battery and charging: the F35 Pro has the larger stated capacity
OPPO specifies an 8,000mAh typical battery and a 7,780mAh rated capacity for the F35 Pro, with charging up to 80W SUPERVOOC or 44W UFCS. vivo lists a 7,200mAh battery and 90W FlashCharge for the V80.

On capacity, the F35 Pro has the higher manufacturer-stated number. The V80 lists the higher maximum wattage for its named charging system. These specifications do not establish real-world screen time or a full charge duration: actual results depend on conditions, and no independent battery or charging measurements are available for this comparison.

Other camera differences to weigh
Beyond the missing telephoto camera, the F35 Pro specification page lists a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP autofocus front camera. Its listed rear video modes include 4K at 30fps. vivo says the V80 supports 4K at 60fps and identifies its optical telephoto camera’s sensor as Sony IMX882.
These are manufacturer-listed features, not a direct assessment of autofocus reliability, low-light results, stabilization quality or video image quality. If video frame rate or a high-resolution autofocus front camera matters to you, compare the precise recording modes and camera configurations you expect to use rather than assuming that a headline specification guarantees a better result.

Which phone makes more sense for you?
Choose the V80 if optical reach is a regular need
- You frequently take portraits, event photos or other pictures of subjects too far away for a comfortable wide-camera composition.
- You value having a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera with OIS more than minimizing the purchase price.
- The cited 256GB price gap of ₹15,000 is acceptable for the camera hardware you expect to use.
Choose the F35 Pro if price or battery capacity comes first
- You mostly take ordinary wide-camera pictures and do not expect to rely on optical zoom.
- The lower reported India price is more important to you than a dedicated telephoto camera.
- You prefer its larger stated battery capacity, while recognizing that capacity figures alone do not predict your personal battery life.
Check regional features before you buy
OPPO’s India specification page marks NFC as unsupported on the F35 Pro. The information available for this comparison does not confirm the V80’s NFC status, so it does not establish an NFC advantage for either phone. If contactless payments or another NFC feature is essential, confirm the exact India model’s regional specifications with the manufacturer or seller before purchase.

For buyers who rarely zoom and care more about the lower reported price or the F35 Pro’s larger stated battery, the extra spend is harder to justify.
