Which phone has the better display?
The Redmi’s listed screen is larger at 6.83 inches, compared with the V80’s reported 6.59 inches. The V80’s reported maximum refresh rate is higher—144Hz versus Xiaomi’s UK listing of up to 120Hz—so it may offer smoother motion in supported content and interfaces. Refresh rate alone does not determine overall display quality; the available specifications do not establish a controlled brightness or image-quality comparison.

Which has the bigger battery and faster charging?
Battery capacity depends on the Redmi market version. Xiaomi lists 8340mAh typical for the UK model and 9000mAh typical for the India model. The V80’s 7200mAh capacity is reported by Cinco Días / Smartlife, rather than confirmed here across all vivo regional product pages. On the published capacity figures, either listed Redmi variant is larger.
The V80 is reported to support 90W charging, compared with 67W for the Redmi in both the cited UK and India specifications. Charging wattage does not establish how long a phone takes to charge; that also depends on charging conditions, battery state and compatible equipment. vivo says 90W is the maximum output when using its official standard charger. For the Redmi, Xiaomi says the India box includes a 67W charger, while the UK page says no power adapter is included and recommends a compatible 67W PD charger or Xiaomi’s 67W charger.

How do the cameras compare?
Xiaomi’s regional specifications establish a 50MP optically stabilized main rear camera, an 8MP ultrawide rear camera and a 16MP front camera for the Redmi. The V80 report identifies a 50MP front camera with autofocus and 4K video recording up to 60fps, but the cited material does not provide enough comparable rear-camera detail to rank the two camera systems overall. Megapixel counts alone do not show which phone takes better photos.

Which processor, memory and software details are confirmed?
Xiaomi lists the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 for the Redmi in both the UK and India. The cited V80 official India parameter extract does not identify its processor, so there is not enough evidence here to make a performance comparison.

Redmi configurations differ by region: Xiaomi UK lists 6GB RAM with 256GB storage and 8GB with 512GB; Xiaomi India lists up to 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. Do not assume a configuration sold in one country is available elsewhere. vivo India lists Android 17 for the V80 and describes 5G + 5G dual SIM dual active, with carrier and band-combination limitations. The cited Xiaomi specifications do not establish a comparable software version or support commitment.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the V80 if its reported 144Hz screen, 90W charging or 50MP autofocus selfie camera best fits your priorities—and the specifications are confirmed for the model sold in your market.
- Consider the Redmi if you want the larger 6.83-inch listed display, a specified Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, or a larger stated battery capacity in the UK or India version.
