The vivo T5 5G has the stronger published spec sheet: a larger, higher-resolution display, a higher stated battery capacity, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The T4R 5G’s standout is its quad-curved design. The apparent ₹12,000 price gap is not a confirmed current saving: it compares a T5 store price with an out-of-stock T4R listing.

Display size and resolution
The T5’s panel is 0.06 inches larger diagonally and has a higher published resolution than the T4R’s 2392 × 1080 screen. That gives the T5 the specification advantage for screen area and pixel count. Its 144 Hz figure comes from 91mobiles’ comparison data; vivo’s product pages are the source for the other display details in the table.

Battery capacity
On a like-for-like typical-capacity comparison, vivo lists 7050 mAh for the T5 and 5700 mAh for the T4R. The rated figures are 6850 mAh and 5570 mAh, respectively. The T5 therefore has more stated battery capacity, but capacity alone does not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use.
Rear-camera flexibility
The T5 adds an 8MP ultra-wide camera to its 50MP OIS main camera. The T4R’s listed rear setup pairs a 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS main camera with a bokeh camera. An ultra-wide offers a distinct option for fitting more of a scene into a frame; megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality.

Processor claims
vivo names a Dimensity 7500 Turbo in the T5 and a Dimensity 7400 in the T4R. Those names suggest different chip tiers, but they do not establish the speed of a phone in a particular app or workload. 91mobiles reports multi-core Geekbench results of 3,261 for the T5 and 2,912 for the T4R; its testing methodology is not established here, so treat those as that site’s reported results rather than a guarantee of real-world performance.
What the T4R 5G offers instead
The T4R is positioned around a quad-curved AMOLED design and a slim profile. If that form factor matters more to you than the T5’s larger, higher-resolution display or extra rear camera, it may be the more appealing design. Both phones list a 32MP front camera with 4K video capability, and both list charging up to 44W.

Price difference in India
When accessed in 2026, vivo India’s store displayed the T5 5G in a 6GB/128GB configuration for ₹34,999. 91mobiles displayed ₹22,999 for the T4R but marked it out of stock. Subtracting those displayed prices gives ₹12,000, but it is not a verified current price difference between available, like-for-like offers.

Durability and software considerations
IP68/IP69 ratings
Both phones are advertised with IP68/IP69 ratings. vivo describes controlled test conditions and warns that resistance is not permanent; the ratings are not a promise that a phone cannot be damaged by liquid, and liquid damage may not be covered. Avoid treating either model as waterproof.
Different software labels
The T4R product page lists Funtouch OS 15, while the T5 page lists OriginOS 6. Choose based on the interface and ecosystem you prefer, and check the current regional product details and update-support terms before buying; the listed software versions alone do not establish how long either model will receive updates.

- Choose the T5 5G if you want the higher published display resolution, more stated battery capacity, or an ultra-wide rear camera.
