For India-market buyers, the vivo T4 5G is the battery-capacity and lower-launch-price choice; the vivo V50 5G offers a more versatile listed camera setup and higher water-and-dust protection ratings. Both have a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh and support up to 90W charging. The comparison below uses official India specifications and historical launch prices—not hands-on performance or current like-for-like prices.

These are manufacturer-listed specifications. Peak-brightness claims are not independently measured sustained-brightness results, and the camera megapixel counts do not establish image quality.
How the battery, display and performance compare
Battery capacity favors the T4 on paper
The T4’s typical battery capacity is 7,300mAh, compared with 6,000mAh in the V50—a 1,300mAh difference. Capacity alone cannot predict runtime: screen settings, network conditions, software and workload all affect how long a phone lasts. Both models list charging support up to 90W FlashCharge; the available specifications do not establish a comparable charging time.

Both phones list the same screen size, resolution, AMOLED panel type and maximum refresh rate. Their official pages give different local peak-brightness figures, but those manufacturer specifications should not be read as a controlled comparison of brightness in sustained everyday use.

Chip names do not settle which phone is faster
The T4 uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, while the V50 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. These are different processors, but the model names alone do not prove which phone performs better in real use. A useful head-to-head performance result would need the same benchmark version, software build and thermal conditions; no such controlled comparison is established here.
Camera hardware: V50 has more listed flexibility
The V50 adds a 50MP autofocus ultra-wide rear camera with a listed 119.4° field of view, alongside its 50MP OIS main camera. The T4 lists a 50MP OIS main camera and a 2MP bokeh secondary camera. For selfies, the V50 lists a 50MP autofocus front camera versus the T4’s 32MP front camera.

That gives the V50 more camera hardware options on paper, particularly for wider framing and autofocus selfies. It does not establish that its photos or videos are better: megapixels and camera count are not substitutes for controlled sample comparisons.
Water and dust protection, software and support
vivo lists IP65 for the T4 and IP68 and IP69 for the V50. These ratings differ, but neither phone should be treated as indestructible or permanently water-resistant; vivo cautions that the T4’s resistance can diminish with wear.

Both India product pages list Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. vivo’s T4 launch material promises two Android OS updates and three years of security patches. The reviewed V50 launch material does not state a matching support duration, so the available information does not support a direct longevity comparison.

The 12GB configurations have different storage capacities, so their ₹15,000 difference does not compare matching variants. Launch prices were announced with the T4 launch and V50 launch.
Official store-page snapshots observed on October 7, 2026 showed the selected T4 12GB + 256GB variant at ₹29,999 and out of stock, and the selected V50 12GB + 512GB variant at ₹48,999 and unavailable. These are different configurations and stock states; they do not establish a current like-for-like price gap. Check the exact variant, seller and availability before buying.

- Choose the T4 if its larger stated battery capacity and lower original launch prices matter more to you than additional camera hardware.
- Consider the V50 if you want the listed autofocus ultra-wide and higher-resolution autofocus selfie camera, or place greater weight on its IP68/IP69 ratings.
- Compare current listings before deciding if price is decisive: the ₹13,000 difference applies to matching 8GB launch variants, not necessarily today’s in-stock offers.
- Look for controlled tests if your decision depends on camera quality, real-world battery runtime or performance; the specifications alone do not establish those outcomes.
Launch timing and what the comparison can establish
vivo unveiled the V50 in India on February 17, 2025, with sales announced from February 25. The T4 launch announcement is dated April 22, 2025, with sales starting April 29. These dates describe the India launches.
The comparison establishes differences in listed hardware and original India launch prices. It does not establish measured battery life, photo quality, charging duration, sustained screen brightness, durability, benchmark performance or today’s retailer pricing.
